About Diane Fraser
I had many happy years growing up by the sea in Pittenweem and very much wish we could spend more time there. Every time we visit we always say we must come back more often! My parents owned what used to be known as The VG licensed Grocers in the Market Place. I now live in Falkirk with my Husband Ross and two young children Ruari (7) & Alana (5). My Husband is a Funeral Director & I run a Beauty Salon from home, specialising in skin care treatments.
Diane Fraser purchased this House in 2007
Why Diane Fraser chose Pittenweem
We went to Pittenweem for the first time in years to spend a day by the sea. We had no intentions of buying a property! As we passed the house for sale on our way to the harbour I mentioned how great it would be to have a house there! We all had an absolutely wonderful day, so much so that we decided to visit the Estate agents just to torture ourselves by looking at what we couldn't have! Well, the rest is history, we were at the right place at the right time and thankfully we managed to buy Tigh Na Mara! The house has had extensive work done and I think we have managed to create a very comfortable home from home enviroment.
What makes this House unique
Even though the house was extremely old fashioned and needed amounst other things a gas supply put in, lead pipes changed and walls knocked down. It had that wonderful comfortable homely feeling! Even being traumatised by the amount of work required, we just had to have it! The views are absolutely amazing and they are for ever changing. They can be enjoyed all year round, no matter what the weather. You can open up those doors and listen to the sounds of the sea while being sheltered from the wind. The house is also ideally situated, having a young family it is very important to us that the highlights of the coast are all within walking distance and we can visit other attractions with in a short drive.

Stunning home and views
Visit Pittenweem regularly to stay and visit my family but this is the first time in this property and can't wait to stay there again.......loved it !. House just beautiful inside and very well equipped with everything you could need . Views breathtaking from the upstairs sitting room and lower bedrooms. ❤️
Shouldn't say how good it was, may want to go again.
Fantastic views couldn't drag myself away, great location. Straight onto the Fife coastal path from the door. But beware the stairs. OK for fit and healthy but elderly or less able may struggle. Highly recommend.
Beautiful location and very comfortable
We loved our stay and it was completely comfortable as a home away from home. The view out to the sea was amazing. I will definitely look forward to coming back for another stay!! Thank you so much!
Well-equiped house with great views in lovely Pittemween
The views out of the living room windows make this place. The home was well-equipped, spacious and over-all a great place to stay in Pittemween. The master bed was very comfortable and the adjoining ensuite shower had one of the best showers of our trip. The kitchen had everything you could want. There were only two of us, but this place could be very comfortable for a family if stairs weren't an issue. Having the bedrooms in the middle floor and the kitchen / lounge on the top floor took a bit of getting used to, but made sense to get the great views. The location right along the Fife Coastal Path was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.
We can't recommend this accomodation hightly enough. It's the perfect place for the most relaxing break whatever the weather. The views over the sea are second to none and there is every appliance and comfort within the property to make your stay a true home from home. This is our second stay here and we will be returning again. The location is perfect to either stay within Pittenweem to completely relax and re-charge the batteries or explore the surrounding areas as far afield as you wish. Thanks to Diane for getting everything just right and sharing with us :)
Thank you Julie, I'm delighted you had a great time. Hope to hear from you again soon .
Lovely home with fantastic view.
