SUMMER ACTIVITIES AT SNOWSHOE AND SURROUNDING AREAS
Summertime at Snowshoe Mountain is truly a hidden gem. While the rest of the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic suffers through oppressive heat and humidity, summer day temperatures at Snowshoe hover between 70 and 80 with subtle breezes and seemingly very little humidity.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, the Snowshoe Village, including the shops, restaurants and bars, all stay open to offer a fun, yet relaxing getaway. For the adventure seekers, Snowshoe boasts some of the best mountain biking in the entire country, for both beginners and experts alike. Each weekend, ride your bike down the mountain and take the shuttle or a ski lift back up.
You can also take the lift down to Shavers Lake and enjoy the highest “beach” in WV. At the lake, you can rent paddle boats, play horseshoes, kick back in a hammock, have some food and drinks at the Boathouse, or take a hike around the lake. The kids can also enjoy the water at Split Rock Pools, which has a popular “dumping barrel” that the little ones are sure to love.
Other summer activities include golf at the breathtaking Raven Golf Course, located at the bottom of Snowshoe Mountain. Consistently rated as the best public course in WV, the Raven offers a challenging, yet serene, course for very reasonable rates. The resort also offers off-road dune buggy tours, geocache hunts, sporting clays, and, for the kids, eurobungy and a climbing wall.
We hope your stay at our condo is enjoyable, relaxing and memorable!

We are Floridians that love the experience of Winter. We are a big family and have been skiers and boarders for over 15 years. We love watching our children enjoy themselves playing in the snow and taking advantage of the outdoor activities at Snowshoe.
Laz purchased this Condo in 2006
Why Laz chose Snowshoe
We always wanted a Winter home, since there is no true Winter in Florida. This is our get away home from the hectic life in the big city. The summer and fall activities in Snowshoe are very enjoyable too. Lots of things of to do, beautiful sites, history, local area arts and crafts, and lots of time to RELAX!
What makes this Condo unique
We fell in love with Snowshoe because of the combination of skiing, outdoor activities, natural snow falls, restaurants, shops and night life. The people are really friendly too!

We love this place!
Great place, fully stocked with everything you need away from home.
Appreciate your repeat visit. Thank you!
Unfortunately, conditions were horrible on the mountain....rain, rain, rain.:(
Wish the weather would have been better for you. Normally February is one of the best months for skiing and boarding. Thank you for your stay and the positive review!
The perfect ski condo!
Very nice, roomy unit in a great location made this the perfect condo for my wife and I along with our 2 sons. Clean, cozy, and lots more room than other 2 bedroom units our friends rented in other properties on this trip.
Our boys walked to the slopes while my wife and I used the convenient shuttle right at the top of the driveway. Parking level entry made it super easy to get in and out with ski equipment, nice bench in interior hallway was great for getting boots on and off and plenty of racks and hooks for skis, jackets, etc...
Owner was responsive and a pleasure to deal with and we would not hesitate to make this our first choice for our next trip to Snowshoe.
Mark, thank you for your review. I am glad to know that you enjoyed the property and found it accommodating. Also appreciate your feedback and looking after our home as it was yours! Laz
Great vacation...great condo
Thank you, glad you enjoyed our home.
Great place, convenient location, and plenty warm even when it was subzero outside.
The property was nicely decorated, warm, and cozy even when it was subzero outside. It's on the first floor, so unloading is convenient. It's a short walk to Snowshoe village, and there's a bus stop right outside of Leatherbark. We had 6 adults (2 couples in the bedrooms, and 2 singles in the living room), and it was plenty of space.
Thank you for the review Emmett. Hopefully it is snowing or they are making tons of snow given how cold it is!
Perfect Mountaintop Retreat
First time to Snowshoe, and we were fortunate to have booked this quiet retreat for our family. It was a short walk to the village, but separated just enough to give us a little privacy. For us, it was exactly what we wanted. Parking right out front and easy to load/unload. Another positive -- this condo offers it's own washer and dryer! The accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals, if we wanted. We rented during the summer months, and we truly had a blast! Would highly recommend going this time of year, as the nights are cool, the days are fresh, and Snowshoe has tons of activities for all ages. Can't wait to go back. Oh, and the owner, Laz, was terrific. He was quick to answer all questions, easy to reach, and gave us good advice and step by step instructions regarding his place. Thanks Laz!
Lisa it was a pleasure having you and your Family stay in our home away from home. Thank you also for taking care of it and the positive review. Snowshoe is beautiful in the Summer!
