About Carol Heth
I have lived in this area all of my life and have grown to appreciate the little piece of paradise that we call home.
Carol Heth purchased this Cottage in 1983
Why Carol Heth chose Columbia
Growing up down the road and having my Grandparents next door has been a great life experience. The area had always been very family oriented with my Aunts, Uncles, and cousins next door. There are still families that have been here for their lifetime.

Great place and owners!
The home was beautiful. It was the personal, homey touch by the owners that helped make our trip great. Pete and Carol were wonderful. Thank you for everything!
Rich and Joyce Anniversary
The Birdhouse was wonderful, but not just the property. Carol and Pete were so welcoming and helpful. It felt like meeting old though new friends - so many delightful conversations. Pete's blueberry scones were truly the best we have ever eaten. We left an empty plate as evidence. Also, the chickens left us a dozen colorful eggs - as colorful as the chickens. We sure did enjoy our breakfasts. It was a delightful visit and we would love to return again in the future.
A break from the city
It was nice to get away for a long weekend and wake up to views of fields and cows. We loved the outside space where we could keep our dogs with us, but also enjoy the fireplace and look up at the stars.
The cottage is beautifully decorated, it had literally everything we would have needed. As well as one of the greatest showers I've ever used. We cannot wait to come back.
What a wonderfully relaxing place to stay! The cottage is beautifully designed and decorated. The place is immaculate and the fresh eggs and blueberry scones were such an amazing treat. I would and have recommended this cottage to anyone looking for a rural peaceful retreat!
Perfect for what we needed.
Excellent communication from the owners, and the little home was quaint, stocked, and perfect for our stay!
Downtown Columbia is known for antiquing, micro brew pub, art galleries, and museums. Lancaster City has lots of galleries, restaurants, Central Market, Fulton Opera House, and much more. Amish country can be as close as a neighbor or Bird-in-Hand or Intercourse. Hershey is only 30 mins away and Gettysburg 45 mins.
