Historic District - North Condo Rental Photos and Description

Located one block off Broughton Street (Main Street Savannah), construction of this brand new 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom luxury condo was completed in January, 2013. Located steps from 'City Market' and Paula Deen’s famous 'The Lady & Sons' restaurant, this condo is also within short walking distance of SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and historic River Street. There is a private garage in the building for your car and an elevator to take you from the lobby to the condo. Sleeps up to 6 people and can be connected (through sound proofed doors) with neighboring condos (VRBO #429224, #434067, and #431330) for larger parties (up to 26 people in four adjoining condos on one floor or book both floors for up to 52 people!) The condo has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large open area for entertaining, a dining table for 6, a very comfortable sleeper sofa, a leather couch and sleeps four to six people. The unit offers a custom kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless appliances, dishwasher, and microwave. There are huge windows for natural light and custom hardwood floors throughout. The condo has an over sized, front-load washer / dryer, 60' High Definition Flat Screen Television in the living room, HD Cable, Blu-ray HD DVD player, and high end audio equipment with 5.1 surround sound. The bedrooms each have a 50' High Definition Flat Screen Television with HD Cable and huge King Beds. The bathrooms feature custom tile showers with rain shower heads and hand held body showers. There is also a 1200 square foot deck on the roof of the building with amazing views, lounge chairs, outdoor dining tables and gas grills!

Whether visiting SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design), vacationing in Savannah or on a business trip, this Building is the perfect location from which to base your visit. Catch a sightseeing trolley in City Market (located on the same block), or walk two blocks to River Street for a day of fun-filled shopping. Ghost Tours, trendy boutiques, theaters, museums and local artists are all within walking distance. About Mike

I grew up in New Paltz, New York, on the Hudson River halfway between New York City and Albany. I moved to Savannah in the Summer of 2002 when I accepted my position as Sales and Demonstration Pilot for Gulfstream Aerospace. I really enjoy living in the Historic District; there is no substitute for the history, scenery, dinning, and nightlife that downtown Savannah offers. In my spare time, I began renovating properties in the heart of Savannah's Downtown Historic District.

During my 14 year tenure at Gulfstream Aerospace, I have had the amazing good fortune to travel to over 100 countries; many of them repeatedly. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels in almost every major city in the world. While staying in these amazing properties, I would always take notes on the décor and amenities I found most desirable. I have included many of these ideas in my property back here in Savannah, hoping to use my experience to provide amazing accommodations to the discerning traveler.

Today, I still live in Savannah with my wife Radka, our son John, and our two dogs, Jake and Mini.

Why Mike chose Savannah

I've had my eye on this property for the past ten years. It's a beautiful brick building with huge floor to ceiling windows in the perfect location in the center of the Historic District. I was finally able to realize my dream to purchase and completely renovate this property in the Fall of 2012 when I converted it into eight luxury vacation rental condos.

What makes this condo unique

The combination of a parking garage in the building, cement - steel - brick construction, and a huge roof top deck makes this building unlike any other vacation rental in Savannah! This really is the best VRBO property in all of Savannah.

Perfect for Girl Scouts!

We took our Girl Scouts to Savannah this past weekend and stayed at the York Street Condos. What a PERFECT location! We were able to eat all of our breakfasts there and prepare our lunches, plus we grilled burgers on the roof top deck one night for dinner. The savings of not having to eat out plus the added bonus of garage parking made this a very affordable option. We were right around the corner from the Birthplace and a very short walk to everything we wanted to do in downtown Savannah. Having our vehicle right downstairs in the garage made heading out to Tybee and Laurel Grove a cinch as well. Oh, not to be forgotten, having a washer/dryer was perfect for us. We were able to pack less and throw in a load overnight so packing was much easier and lighter.

Rita is VERY helpful and was great to work with. I HIGHLY recommend staying at York Street Condos.

We loved it!!!!

My family and I rented two adjoining condos to attend a wedding in Savannah. We loved it. It was beautiful, clean, spacious and within walking distance City Market and River Street. We would definitely rent these condos again. Rita was very accommodating and extremely helpful. Stay here!

great first Savannah experience!

As soon as I walked into the condos I noticed how clean they were. Everything was spotless. The condos come with full kitchens and private baths which is perfect for traveling with large groups. The two condos we rented had adjoining doors so we could all hang out when we wanted to but close them for privacy if needed. The location was perfect. Since I had never been to Savannah I loved being able to walk out of the condo and walk all around downtown. I will be staying here again for any future trips.

Great for Weekend or Extended Stay

Stayed here for a weekend with friends, and this was by far the best Savannah trip I've ever made. Beats the hotels any day of the week! Amenities are excellent, and everything is clean and well-maintained. Full home theater setup in each living room is awesome for getting your Marked For Death fix, and gigantic tv's in each bedroom for your late night programs. The units open up to each other to form an awesome communal space, while the private bed/bath combos give everyone some personal space when staying with a large group. Anyone who has driven around Savannah will appreciate the convenience of this location. Literally just a few blocks from anywhere you want to go; shopping, restaurants, River St. There is secure parking, which is nice for extended stays - especially since we didn't use the car. And most importantly the A/C never failed us, which I find extremely important when visiting Savannah in the summer. Each unit has a full kitchen with appliances and utensils, making it ideal for extended stays or families.

I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Savannah.

Couldn't be happier

I spent a three-day weekend with friends in two of the condos that were connected to make it feel like one huge living space for all of us to share. Each bedroom had a large bed, giant TV, and private bath. The kitchen was full of state-of-the-art appliances. The common area of each condo was enormous which made the connection of two common areas feel incredibly large and comfortable. I can't say enough about the location. It was very nice to stay in a place with such close proximity to all of the sites, restaurants, and adult beverage venues. No need for waiting on cabs or horse drawn carriage (unless that's just really your thing). Free parking on-site is a much bigger deal than one could imagine. I feel for the people I saw driving around all night looking for a parking spot that they wouldn't get towed from. I would recommend this place to anyone for any kind of stay, no matter how big of a group you're with. And I can't wait to go back.

Amazing Value

I will never stay in another overpriced hotel on my visits to Savannah. The furnishings were incredible. All the appliances and A/V equipment are top notch, but the icing on the cake was the washer and dryer. The proximity to the local restaurants, shops, and nightlife is also a big plus. I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a nice place to stay on their visit to Savannah.
