Newly renovated house & private heated pool with jacuzzi.

Pie Pasquie is a 16th Century house surrounded by 6 acres - perfect for a family looking for peace and quiet. The property is situated in the outskirts of a small village called Vares just north of Tonneins (accessible by Bordeaux and Bergerac airports) in the heart of the French countryside. A fishing enthusiasts paradise. Recently refurbished. Whilst retaining a number of its original features including its original stone staircase has been lovingly brought into the 21st century.

Pie Pasquie has huge grounds .....as well as the fenced & gated garden & pool area for safety....masses of space for football,cricket and any other games you can think of. There is a lovely lake at Casteljaloux

You are 15 mins drive from this historic spa centre, with its lovely lake which has pedalos & waterslides & an assault course in trees, trampoline with harnesses for somersaults; there is a bar & refreshments & there are picnic tables & benches.

There is another beautiful quiet lake at 5 mins drive for fishing , appreciated by lads large & small !

The nearest tennis court is

In Tonneins,which is the nearest market town, 10-15 mins drive,

on the banks of the river Garonne -very pretty town with supermarket,shops restaurants & bars

PIE PASQUIE

Formidable endroit. Beaucoup de cachet. Rénovation effectuée avec beaucoup de soin. Hôtes charmants. Un endroit magique où il est bon de se ressourcer.

Région agréable à visiter pour se vider la tête et déstresser.

Patricia et Brian ont aménagé cette demeure avec un soin particulier. Nous y retrouvons le savoir-faire du maître de maison, expert en bricolage et en aménagement intérieur. Patricia a une philosophie de la vie selon laquelle nous devons rester 'zen', quelles que soient les circonstances et les évènements extérieurs.

Je vous recommande fortement ce lieu, point de départ d'une réelle pause face au monde moderne dans lequel nous vivons.

Fantastique

Nous avons passé un sejour très agreable dans cette belle maison historique. Le gîte est situé dans la campagne d’Aquitaine; il est très confortable, bien equipé et propre partout, avec tout le confort moderne. Les proprietaires sont très aimable et cordiale. Certainement, je suis ravie de notre choix et je n’hesiterai pas à recommander ce gîte à ma famille et des amis. Merci beaucoup!

Séjour réussi - Pie Pasquie

Malgré le mauvais temps nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour dans ce gîte qui a beaucoup de charme et caractère. Mon mari était ravi de recevoir tous les conseils des propriétaires sur la pêche de la région. C'est en faite une des raisons que nous avons choisi ce gîte en cette saison. Mon mari adore la pêche.

La maison était très confortable et nous avons pu apprécier le poêle qui nous aidait à nous réchauffer après nos balades de l'après-midi dans la campagne. J'adore faire la cuisine et la cuisine est très bien équipée. J'ai bien profiter des produits du terroir que j'ai trouvé sur les marchés.

L'emplacement est idéal pour découvrir cette région et pour se reposer en pleine campagne.

Le gîte est propre, bien équipé, les propriétaires sont chaleureux et très souple. Une des raisons que nous avions choisi cette maison est parce qu'elle est une des seules qu'on a pu trouver qui nous donnait le choix de faire une location de mi-semaine en basse saison. Nous avons pu profiter de petites vacances de 5 jours où on s'est bien de-stressé et repris le souffle pour reprendre notre vie de ville chaotique!

Je reviendrai sûrement et je l'ai déjà recommandé à des amis. Je suis ravie de notre choix.

A fishing enthusiasts region ! The lake in Vares, where Pie Pasquie is situated has sizeable Carp, Tench, Perch, Roach, Rudd & Pike. A 2 -3 minute drive, or can be walked.The river Garonne & river Lot, within 10 & 20 minutes respectively,  have large Carp, Black Bass, Pike & Catfish. In Fact the river Lot holds lots of records....more info can be found on internet. You can buy a holiday fishing permit locally for approx.  20 Euros

Holidaymakers have said that they really enjoy the pretty Vares fishing lake.

Aside from the plentiful vineyards in the region, the area is well known for is productivity of plums and prunes. Nature lovers can enjoy the wildflowers and birds as well as the undulating countryside which is perfect for walking

There is golf at Villeneuve Sur Lot Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole championship course, and at Tombeboeuf there is a 9-hole golf course with practice area and a pro shop. Both golf courses have clubs, trolleys and buggies for hire.

Agen, apart from its renowned art museum, has Park Walibi, a big amusement park that is always fun for the children. At Clariac there is the Magic Forest, again great fun for the children. The Magique Chaudron is a must for the children. This is an angora goat farm where the children can help to bottle feed the kids at certain times of the year and even help with the milking and cheese making.

Further local activities – boat trips, microlight flying, canoeing, kayaking, leisure lakes, vibrant markets etc. etc..

This centrally heated property is available for letting all the year. When the central heating is necessary, the first £50 of metered oil will not be charged.
