About Stanley McIntosh
Rosalinda and I are long time residents of Harlem. In fact, we met at a jazz concert in Grant's Tomb. I was born here Rosalinda has lived in West Africa as well as Harlem. We have a son, Alberto, who is fluent in French and English. We both graduated from schools here. I went to Columbia University undergraduate and graduate school of Architecture and Urban Planning and she went to City College majoring in philosophy. We also lived and taught English language skills at the International University of Grand Bassam in Grand Bassam, Cote d'Ivoire. Rosalinda is fluent in Spanish, French as well as English. I am conversant in French and fluent in English. We renovated a house in Cote d'Ivoire hosting friends from Abidjan as well a housing students. I still serve as president of the block association on 132nd and you will see the efforts of our labor upon visiting us. Rosalinda enjoys decorating and we both enjoy reading and gardening.
Why Stanley McIntosh chose Harlem
The property is a legacy. My father bought the house in 1938. I grew up in the same house. This house as a part of the block has all of the old world charm and the scale makes one feel like one is in a small town despite the fact that we are in New York. I have witnessed the neighborhood changes and am glad that the renaissance now is having such a great effect on the community. It is exceptionally quiet on the block and extremely neighborly
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment has the old world charm with modern updates. The kitchen is open, modern but has exposed brick walls. the living room has the original chair rails and the decorative fireplace is always so comforting. The bedroom with its exposed brick wall and is filled with light. It is hypnotizing and to see the birds and watching the flowers blooming is heavenly.

Cute & Cozy!
Our family of four stayed here and enjoyed the quiet and cozy haven we came home to each evening. It was so quiet...we were surprised to be right in the city and to wake up to no traffic noise...just birds chirping! Stanley is such a great host and was extremely helpful helping us secure an important delivery when we were not there to receive it. He will go above and beyond to give you tourist advice and help you out in any way!
Great brownstone in the heart of Harlem
Stanley was a very gracious and accommodating host. His brownstone was perfect, clean, and very cozy. Our family of 4 really enjoyed the location and Stanley’s suggestions of where to visit and eat. We’ll be back, Stanley!
It was great to host you and the family. I have to do some more researh since new places of interest, event and restaurants open frequently in Harlem these days.
Thank you for choosing us

This Harlem brownstone apartment was cozy, quiet, and very comfortable with good beds, a well stocked kitchen, and everything to make a comfortable stay. The neighborhood is close to transportation, has many nice restaurants, and options for groceries. Most of all, Rosalinda and Stanley are wonderful hosts and now we consider them delightful friends. A place not to be missed!
It was such a pleasure to have you both as guests It was really good to talk about our mutual issues and I am so glad that you were able to attend and enjoy our block association' Holiday celebration.
Stanley and Rosalinda
Stanley was a terrific host, and the apartment was lovely. Located on a quiet street with easy access to the subway, this apartment was very comfortable and spacious, with full kitchen and even an enclosed backyard! We had a great time time, and enjoyed the books he had available on the history of Harlem.
It was our pleasure to host you and your husband and thank you very much for choosing us. I was really happy that after you saw the play Hamilton the books on Harlem helped fill in some more information about his history.
