We (4 ladies) traveled here for our yearly extended girls weekend. Were completely amazed at the beauty Vermont holds and then to stay here was superb! Marie-Michelle was so great and had great recommendations of where we should go. We ate at the Starry Night Cafe (excellent duck), Bar Antidote in Vergennes, traveled to the area wineries, ben and Jerry's, oktoberfest in Stowe (take a walk on the rec trail, beautiful), went to Chuch st twice in Burlington which was ok but we preferred staying in the rural areas cause it was so beautiful and tranquil. We will be back again and would highly recommend this location. We walked up to the country store every morning for an organic cup of coffee and the most delicious scones and muffins! And how could we forget about the wine...LOVE East Shore Vineyard and Shelburne. Charlotte Vineyard has awesome Blueberry Semi Dry.
I could not believe my luck in finding this incredible home for our family vacation to Vermont. We were fortunate to stay at this beautiful renovated barn for 1.5 weeks in September. The owners, Marie and George, could not have been more friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The home is well-appointed and we had everything we needed. Our two young children enjoyed the toys, crayons, and paper, and especially the abundance of outdoor space. Upstairs there are 2 sleeping spaces, but not actual rooms with doors. The spaces are far enough apart that privacy was not a concern, and it was fine for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the open floor plan and huge fireplace for getting together with local friends (all of whom remarked: "This place is amazing. How did you find it?"). We will definitely be back.
The house is located in a lush valley know as the Banana Belt of Vermont near some of the most scenic views of Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains and the Adirondacks. In addition to some of the best cycling route in Vermont, they are Orchards, breweries and wineries within minutes drive. A perfect place for embarking on all the best that Vermont has to offer including beach fun, fall foliage and amazing restaurants. A short walk to West Charlotte village which has two country stores and deli. All this, 20 minutes from Burlington and Burlington airport.
