The Living area is clean and open with a comfortable queen size pull out couch, indoor dining, and a kitchen that boasts everything you need to cook almost anything!
This condo has a king size bed and a brand spanking new bathroom, with step-in shower.
We are Irwin and Daphne Culver. We have been married for 43 years, and live and work in Apache Junction, AZ. Irwin is a licensed plumber and works as a maintenance technician, for Banner Health AZ, but his real calling is remodeling cars and looking after his Koi pond. Daphne works as a part-time Administration Assistant for Banner Health. She rescues Yorkies for YTNR and Mill Dog Rescue.

We purchased this condo after staying on the property several times. We wanted a special place that we can truly call our second home, somewhere we can settle into and just enjoy!
Maui Sands is a Peaceful and Friendly place with good neighbors. It invites you to be calm and serene, and be happy!
My husband and I enjoyed ourselves so much! The condo was great, well stocked and clean and the location was perfect.
Heather was such a pleasure to work with, so responsive and helpful. Thank you for the great place to stay on our annual vacation. We hope to be back and will definitely refer friends and family here!
Spent a week with my wife and our 11 month daughter. Lover the access to the beach, the condo had all it needed. Loved the spice rack. Great sunsets right off the observation deck. Would definitely come back!
We stayed there 6 nights and found this place to be very convenient. Location is great, close to various beaches. If you want surfing there are 2-3 beaches with consisting surf up north 5-10 min away. If you want calm and snorkeling ones there are few places south 5-10 min away(plus cliff jumping at black stone beach:)). Very close to shops and eating places. Also, would recommend 'Duke' restaurant which is just few minutes away by walk.
Definitely would consider staying there again.
We couldn't have been happier with this condo. The location was perfect for us. The price was very reasonable. The local Kapalua airport is virtually within walking distance! The condo and grounds are clean and well maintained. There is virtually everything you need supplied in the condo...just add some food. The neighbors were all friendly and quiet. Several new Weber grills are available for use. A small "observation deck" was a great place to watch the sunset by the ocean. Everything you need is within walking distance. Across the street is a farmers market, bike rental, restaurants. About 3 blocks away is another larger strip mall with Times Supermarket (my son's the pharmacist there....) more places to eat, walk in doctor's office etc. I don't remember the name, but next to the "ABC" store just 1 block south of the condo is an outdoor eatery that opens in the afternoon, cooks the food outside, is excellent!!
Unfortunately the condo was not cleaned when we arrived, but after calling Heather it was done immediately. In addition we got a little gift as an excuse. The absolutely highlights of this condo are the beautiful sunsets and swimming with turtles! A little disadvantage were disturbances by some neighbors very noisy in the nights.
The kitchen is well stuffed and you can enjoy your meals on your own terrace.
My family and I stayed here for 1 week and we had an amazing time. The condo was stocked with all the items we needed; Heather was even kind enough to include a play pen and a high chair for our little one. The condo is within 1 minute's walk to the beach. The beach is great for snorkeling and simply having a more private/secluded space in the water than say resorts. Neighbors are quiet and there are several places one can eat from within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone; we have great memories.
It is no secret, Maui can be quite expensive if you are not careful. This condo affords you the opportunity to save money at every turn, and allows you to be ocean-side at the same time.
The condo is equipped with everything you need to from a home comfort stand point. This allows you to take one hit on the wallet from the grocery store, instead of multiple hits eating out.
Use the travel guide that is located under the in-table. This bible will allow you to see all Maui has to offer, without being sold by a event bookie. Because of this guide we took over 500 pictures, and seriously thought we only took maybe 100.
If you stay here you will be serenaded by the ocean when you fall asleep, and when you wake up.
My wife was 6 months pregnant when we stayed here and comfortable the whole time.
We will be staying here again.
Honokawai is located on the Northwest shore of Maui, with views of the islands of Molokai and Lanai across the channel. Maui Sands epitomizes old school Hawaii ambiance. This is a low density property, with beautiful grounds, including mango and banana trees. We are a very easy short walk from some lovely beaches and a Honokawai park. There are many good local restaurants, a large grocery store, two farmers markets, a health food store, a coffee shop and some great spa facilities, all within a 3-5 minute walk. One of the favorite things about this location is the Farmers Market that is a short walk away across from the Honokawai Beach Park. They hold a special outdoor produce market on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, but they offer fresh organic produce and a deli from 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.
A short drive south to Whalers Village, and further on to Lahaina brings you to great Front Street shopping and historic sights.
North towards Kapalua there are 3 more championship golf courses, as well as fabulous beach walks and mountainside hiking! Nothing like a sunset view from the side of a volcano!
