Super convenient! It worked well for our family of five. It was close to tube and shops etc. It was also very nice to have parking.

Highly Recommended!

Beautiful property. Can't wait to go back. It's everything you could ask for, lovely quiet neighbourhood with the High St just around the corner. Plenty of great restaurants, pubs & shops. Buses, Tube & Train Station also a few minutes walk away. Thank you Simon & Barbara for your hospitality!

Fabulous Stay

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in a similar property here - Laurel House, which we loved, and The Gatehouse this time was also lovely. The properties are in an excellent location, very quiet yet very close to shops and amenities. The properties are furnished to a high standard and are in great condition. We have been very happy here each time we stayed and Barbara was very helpful. We definitely hope to return again, it was a gorgeous haven. Thank you, Barbara and family and Home Away.

Kathy and John.

Great place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Great place to stay in a neighbourhood with a busy high street. Lots of grocery stores and great restaurants & coffee shops close by. Not far from tube station (zone 2) or above ground rail. Would recommend this place my friends.

Spacious and comfortable holiday home in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We were a family of four with two kids and an au pair using our Putney holiday house as a base to explore London. Barbara's directions to get to the property were concise and she was able to meet us at the property and give us great advice about best restaurants for families (Rocket was perfect!), food shopping, transport options etc. We were impressed with the space in the holiday house - enough room for 5 even with the sofa bed open. The holiday house is well equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, full oven, washing machine, pots and pans, coffee plunger, etc. The only disappointment was the supply of basic amenities was poor and very disappointing. Coffee and tea provided consisted of two very small jars with a small amount of an unidentified and old looking instant coffee and 3 jasmine tea bags. Barbara did provide a small loaf of bread, some milk and cereal boxes which was nice. Other basic amenities were also in low supply with 1 roll of toilet paper (for a 4 night stay for 5 people), hand soap and shampoo were almost finished so we had to buy our own.

Overall it was a fabulous holiday home in a great location with a few hiccups with basic amenities that can be easily rectified by management.

Loved the location - easy walk to all transport options and great to have flexibility to use bus, tube or ferry.
