Laurel House was clean and well maintained, a perfect second home throughout our time there. Furnishings, decor and interior design were as advertised, delightful and practible. Additionally owner Barbara was straightforward and welcoming. She helpfully let us know rules of the house use and amenities of the local community. She was also pleasant and friendly when we found and shared common interests in conversation.
Anyone would always enjoy a good stay in Laurel House.

We loved our stay at Laurel cottage. It's close proximity to Putney Bridge underground and the Putney train station made all of our adventures into London quick and easy. And when we didn't venture into London and felt like taking a road trip, we could just hop into our car which had it's own parking space just in front of the cottage. Our girls loved having their own room and the twin beds. My husband and I loved the convenience of the kitchen to prepare our own meals and all the appliances; especially, the washer and dryer. Our only suggestion would be to add a pizza cutter and a good chopping knife; otherwise, there were things we didn't expect which really added to the welcome feeling and quality of this rental. Like the nice spice rack, a loaf of bread, cereal, milk, butter cookies so we didn't have to food shop our first night. Laurel cottage felt like home. We enjoyed relaxing in the cottage when we weren't running around and were very happy with the TV and channel selections. Simon was always prompt in answering our emails and questions and Barbara was lovely and welcomed us warmly in addition to giving us a few good suggestions on places to visit. We'd love to come back again if we get the opportunity to return to the UK. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We travelled from Australia and stayed in Laurel House for 10 days. Always a risk choosing from the internet but fantastic place to base ourselves and three adult children. We hopped on the tube after a 10-15 min walk (depending on the state of our blisters) for our exploration of London Town and all it had to offer. Beautiful cottage with good amenities. Fantastic high street for supplies with good supermarkets and the Coat and Badge Pub a stand out. We ate in and the kitchen was perfect. We had warm weather with rain which did not dampen our enthusiasm. Only suggestion would be a fan for the crazy humidity you guys seemed to have when we were there. Thanks to Simon for fantastic response to emails and Barbara for umbrellas!
We stayed in Laurel Cottage for a week with our two children and it was perfect for our needs. It is a charming and comfortable self-catering cottage in a quiet part of Putney yet only a 5 minute walk to the High St shops and restaurants. There are a number of public transport options nearby - tube, train and buses so it is quick and easy to get around London from the cottage. It is worth noting that as this is a self-catering cottage you really do need to supply all consumables (dish washing supplies etc) which can be difficult for overseas visitors. Perhaps these types of consumables could be supplied for a small charge. This aside we would happily stay at Laurel Cottage again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Clean and well presented property, very comfortable for an extended stay in London. Conveniently located and friendly hosts.
Quiet and peaceful yet still so close to Putney High Street and to the tube/rail links to anywhere else. Place is spacious, clean and beautiful. Everything that we needed was there. They provided a camp-cot for our infant daughter without us asking and as owners are nearby, they are very quick to respond to any questions/problem.
It is a home away from home :) Will definitely be back.
