Both Kevin and Cara Hogan have been a part of Nashville and the music industry most of their lives. Kevin, a bass player and photographer, who toured with artists like Tanya Tucker, Waylon Jennings and Clay Walker, enjoyed a double career also shooting for several publishing houses in the Nashville area while on the road. Kevin began to tour less and shoot more when he settled down and married his wife, Cara Hogan. Cara has been an entertainment relations rep. working with artists for Gibson and Epiphone guitar for over 20 years. About 7 years ago, they combined their talents and purchased Spring Haven Mansion, a historic plantation circa 1825, which is one of Nashville's top wedding venues. The perfect combination of event planning and photography, plus a love of people, and a deep respect for history has landed them exactly in the perfect spot. Cara reciently found out that her roots go back to the Revelutionary War, her ancestor actually signed the Cumberland Compact and ironically also owned property touching Spring Haven.
Kevin & Cara Hogan purchased this cabin in 2005
Kevin and I looked for a property for years before finding Spring Haven. We would say, I want a property with a creek, with a cabin, private, close enough to Nashville, with a great history, on beautiful grounds. When we found Spring Haven, all our dreams and wishes were answered and we knew it was the perfect place to share with others.
As you travel down the road to Spring Haven, you think 'Where am I going' then as you enter the gates you drop back into a time gone by, and your soul says 'Ahhhh'. Guests are always shocked to know this special 3 acre estate is hidden away in the middle of everything.
We enjoyed our week at the cabin. Quiet, calming and absolutely beautiful property. The history was fascinating and the swings made enjoying the property priceless.
I absolutely loved this property. It was everything I thought it would be. I loved the history behind the building, along with the other buildings on the property. I could not believe it was in the middle of the city.. You would never know it when you are walking on the property because it is so secluded. I wanted to experience something other than a hotel during my vacation and this cabin more than exceeded my expectations... If I ever go back to Hendersonville I will make sure I stay there again. Beautiful!!!
We really only used the cabin for sleeping as most of our time was spent with family who have a home in town. The cabin was wonderful and had everything we needed - we just wish it had been colder so we could have used the charming fireplace in the master bedroom!!! We would stay again when visiting in town.
I brought two of my team leaders out for a conference in Hendersonville. While we were not at the cabin very long each day - it was the perfect place to begin and end our days. We arrived in the evening to find a handsome deer buck in the meadow - as if to welcome us back! Thank you for the history on the home and your hospitality.
Kevin and Carla are awesome!!!!! Stayed a week for a fishing tournament on Old Hickory. Had access to the lake the next street over for practice and plenty of room for the boat. Was very impressed with the property's history and layout. Was close to Nashville and plenty of things to do. Was a nice quiet little oasis tucked away in Hendersonville. Will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Thanks so much.
My fiance and I wanted a romantic place to stay on our wedding night, with honeymoon later in the week. This place is beautiful. Wish we could have stayed longer. You can see the history. Very nice "rustic" touches.
Located just 25 min outside of Nashville, TN.
