About Daniel

I've always been a sun worshiper by nature, so it's not a huge leap to have made it to Maui. Oddly enough, I have spent a lot of years in Alaska, and now seem to have the perfect combination of places I love. Maui will always be my favorite though, and sharing it with others is just a lot of fun. It's great to hear the great reviews and to have people echo my sentiments, almost to the tee; about all the great things Maui has to offer and the accommodations I try to provide while they are here.

Daniel purchased this condo in 2012

Why Daniel chose Maui

After vacationing on Maui several years ago, I knew right then that I had to buy a slice of this island for myself. Some way, some how. Through a series of incredible circumstances that fell into place, almost miraculously. . . . . THAT led to turning my first condo into a vacation rental. This brought me great joy and afforded a sweet place to stay when I vacationed here again. Then a 2nd studio, led to a third studio, and the rest is fate.

What makes this condo unique

I think I love the awesome view of Mt Haleakala the best. Going to the top is the pinnacle, but it's a stunning view from the lanai, any time of day. If you get too much sun, this studio is the ultimate in luxury and extravagance. From the Granite and Cherry Wood Cabinets, to the full array of new appliances in the Kitchen, this place invites you to stay in and entertain. Of course the pools are a few steps away, and the ocean about a minutes walk, just across the street, but chilling indoors, has never been more pleasant. Being a corner unit, it also affords less adjacent neighbors and twice the sunlight and windows. A great breeze always blows thru, if you want Mother Nature's own cooling system. If not, there's a new AC unit too.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Thanks for your prompt responses! I submitted inquiries to a few condos, but as your condo was the one we were most excited about and you responded first - it was a very easy decision. Your attention to detail and complete disclosure of information has given us a lot of peace of mind leading up to our vacation."

"Thank you for a wonderful first impression".

Cute Condo with Great Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the condo. We had everything we needed and it was within a very short walking distance of many awesome restaurants and beautiful beaches. Daniel provided an abundance of information regarding the area and went out of his way to provide recommendations for activities of interest. The condo provided everything as promised, even a supply of coffee so we could enjoy it while watching the sunrise from the lanai. The second half of our trip we stayed in Lahaina for business which consisted of a lot of resorts and seemed touristy in comparison to Kihei. Hands down this condo/location provided so much more in comparison and we would definitely stay here again if we ever have the opportunity to visit Maui again. Great experience, Thanks Daniel!!

Owner's Response: Aloha Juli, Thanks for the wonderful review. So pleased that you found the value to be high. I feel the same about some of the other areas on the island. Why pay two or three times as much for virtually the same thing. Guests find that Kihei is a centrally located spot to branch out and see the rest of the island, yet if you want to stay local, there are more than enough things to do and see. The restaurants and watering holes are top-notch too and within walking distance, as is the beach. Good point about not having to load up the car and go FIND a beach. Thanks for the time you spent writing this, and do come back again in the future. Mahalo . . . Daniel

Amazing Experiences with a Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

This Kihei Maui Studio Condo was spectacular. It is conveniently near many activities that you can experience such as a nice relaxing day at the beach, snorkeling with Redline Rafting at Molokini Crater, viewing an astonishing sunrise at Haleakalā National Park, and so much more! The condo has a beautiful layout, very clean, and also has a washer and dryer! Fully loaded kitchen, nice view from the patio with exotic birds singing. Daniel made sure the condo was fully equipped with any necessity you may need! This sums it up that the experience we had was overall great!

Cute condo so close to the beaches!

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying at the condo! It was expertly decorated and stocked with all the supplies we needed to make our stay great. We loved making breakfast in the morning and eating on the lanai (overlooking Haleakala) before heading off to the nearby beaches. The beach gear (towels, umbrella, mats) were a great help when we went snorkeling, catching sight of numerous turtles and fish. This is definitely a prime spot to stay to visit all the great south shore beaches and anywhere else in Maui.

Dan's condo was great. Good location, right near the beautiful Kam 2 beach in Kihei. He had everything you will need for the beach, including snorkel gear and boogie boards.

Beautiful view of mount Haleakalā from the lanai.

First Time in Maui

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I came from the East Coast and so we really wanted to make the most of our trip, as it was a rare treat for us to come this far for a vacation. Daniel got back to us right away and was very communicative, so we felt like we'd picked a great spot.

The studio was very clean, had a welcoming vibe and was well-decorated. We wanted a place with a kitchen so we didn't have to go out for every meal. The full sized fridge and fully stocked cabinets made it easy to cook there. Also the condiments and coffee were a nice touch, as we didn't have to buy a bunch of extra stuff we wouldn't use again. And there were plenty of towels for bath, beach, and pool so you didn't have to mix them up and get sand in the bathroom!

The complex itself was very quiet and pleasant. The two swimming pools were lovely and open until 9pm, so we did some swimming and star gazing. Our first night there, we took the beach chairs out (also a great addition!) and walked down to the beach to watch the entire sunset, which was one of the best we've ever seen! It was also great to wake up and make breakfast, and eat on the balcony watching the sun come up over the volcano.

After driving around to many other beaches and towns on the island, we were really happy we'd picked this place for its convenience, and accessibility to lots of other beaches. Also the general area is much less crowded and touristy compared to Lahaina and the northern places. Kam II beach is super mellow, and if you go south, you find other smaller beaches within a 10-20 minute drives that are all beautiful, with clear waters.

Our favorite adventure was taking a snorkeling trip on a boat out to Molokini- highly recommend! It was pretty hot and humid during the afternoons when we were there, so coming back to the condo with the curtains and AC was always a good break from outdoor activities. We were also grateful to find a full bottle of Aloe Vera gel, as us city slickers aren't used to so much sun.

In short we felt like we were staying at a cool friends' place- we had everything we needed. We could do laundry, walk to restaurants and shopping, take an uber to the TIki bar, and be on the beach in just a short walk across the street. This part of Kihei was just as beautiful as the beaches near all the golf courses and expensive resorts, and often less crowded. It made a great and easy home base for a wonderful trip. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Maui !

Owner's Response: Aloha Meredith, Wow! What a great review! Couldn't ask for a better one. You sure took a lot of time and covered everything. Even things I haven't thought of, haha. So glad you enjoyed everything. I am with you about the value. Why pay twice or three times as much to be in Lahaina or Wailea, when everything is just as beautiful here or a close drive if you want to see the rest of the island. Do come back again, and thanks for writing a travel brochure for me. Well done! Daniel

Car: recommended

This is just an amazing location. It is centrally located to everything you need. You really wouldn't NEED a car, but I recommend getting out and seeing the island. There are so many great things to see on Maui. You could spend a year, and not see everything, but do check out the top of Haleakala (over 10,000 ft) and the Road to Hana, are a must do.
