We really enjoyed our stay at this home. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful setting and the feeling of being out and away from other houses. This provided privacy we appreciated and we often sat out on the patio for family conversation and enjoying the view of the valley and the Tetons. Our grandsons spent hours exploring the wetlands at the back of the house and we could keep track of them from the patio. The house was perfect and we especially enjoyed the bid family room where all of the kids watched TV and a number slept there in their sleeping bags. The house was clean and fit our family to a tee. The boys also enjoyed the basketball court. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place on the Teton Valley.
We stayed in July with intentions to explore Jackson Hole. We had 5 teenagers, a toddler and 3 adults. Each room was so extremely spacious. Plenty of blankets and pillows. Fully stocked kitchenware, towels and all appliances worked great. As parents, we enjoyed the 2 separate living rooms with satellite. I also enjoyed having 2 separate sleeping quarters since the teens stay up later than we do. The home was exactly as pictured inside and out. Very well kept. The wifi works beautifully on the master bedroom side of the home, but the teens couldn't get signal from beyond the kitchen. However, they didn't complain at all since they explored outdoors and we toured Jackson Hole during the daytime. I was personally glad they couldn't be on their devices. Sunsets were beyond gorgeous as kids roasted marshmallows in the fire pit. My kids loved the property so much they wanted to move in! I would stay here again and again.
We generally enjoyed the stay. A few of the things that we were not happy about: the second bedroom had no dresser or night stand; there was no pantry in the kitchen so everything was on the counter; the water really smelled like sulpher although drinking water was provided and that was appreciated. It was pet friendly and that was appreciated.
The house had plenty of room for our group of seven. The mountain views were beautiful. There was multiple bugs in the window areas due to large holes in the window screens. New screens would fix most of the problem.
The upstairs would be cooler if we had been able to leave the windows open, but with holes in the screens that was not possible.
We enjoyed our stay. The house is great for large groups, as the bedrooms are scattered on two ends of the house, providing privacy. The back patio and view of the Tetons in the distance was a great way to end the day. We saw deer, fox and cranes in the yard. We also saw a bull moose down the road near the Teton River. It is about a 10 minute drive to town and without A/C the upstairs bedrooms were a little warm mid day. It was unusually hot weather during our stay and after sun down they cooled off. Overall, I would def. rent this houser again.
The property itself is beautiful! We had a few glitches during our stay but nothing to ruin our time. Everything worked out and we were sorry to see our trip end.
This place was adequate, that's about all we can sway. The pictures are not representative of the property. The area around the house was not well maintained and grass was tall and not mowed. The ponds were scum filled and not very welcoming. Landscape had clearly not been maintained all summer with very tall weeds and over grown bushes. Patio was weed filled also. A bit of TLC and Round up would have made a huge difference with the place and made it more inviting. When we showed up we were like: What did we get ourselves into? The inside was fine, not dirty but not clean either, lots of bugs…lots!!! The home was added onto some time ago so many of the beds are above the new garage and away (very far away) from the mater bedroom. This may be an issue for people that have children. The home had a security issue also, The door leading to the garage does NOT have a lock on it. A person can easily gain access to the home through a large pet door in the garage and then into the house. I crawled through it without a problem. That needs to be addressed. The hot tube, well lets not even talk about that. The beds slept well and all kitchen appliances where adequate. Again, this home is not a disaster, it just needs some attention.
Teton Valley Idaho is just to the west of Jackson Hole Wyoming. It is surrounded by the Teton Mountain Range and Big Hole Mountains. The Teton River offers prime fly fishing as well as just floating it on a tube. There are plenty of golf courses in the area that offer beauty at every hole. You wont want to miss the farmers market in Driggs every Friday in the summer months. There is excellent big game hunting with elk, deer, moose, mountain lions, bear and wolf. There is plenty of opportunities for seeing game big and small. Yellowstone National Park is just a beautiful hours drive away. There are numerous mountain bike trails and hiking trails. You can even climb the Grand if you are ambitious enough. Jackson Hole Wyoming is just a short 20 minute drive away. The winter time offers prime skiing with Grand Targhee where the motto is, 'snow from heaven not hoses!' There is also plenty of back country skiing and cross country skiing. There is prime spots for snowmobiles to roam as well. This is truly an outdoor playground.
