The fully renovated cottage sits on our 105 acre farm and is filled with country charm. Cottage was built circa 1840 but is equipped with a fully equipped modern kitchen, spacious living area, bath with tub/shower combo and two upstairs bedrooms. Amenities include central heat and a/c, satellite tv and free wifi access. The cottage sits approx 150 yards from the beautiful Juniata river which boasts some of central Pa's best bass fishing. Train lovers will enjoy watching trains as they travel through the upper farm fields as they make their way to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Great location for folks that love the outdoors or to cozy up in the comfort of the cottage. Burnt Timbers Winery is located approx. 75 yards from the cottage.

Our party of four adults stayed here for two nights while attending graduation weekend activities at Juniata College. We all wished we could have stayed longer and relaxed more! The setting was so peaceful and lovely, and the cottage was the perfect size and well appointed. The only thing we added from our "just in case" supplies was an extension cord in the master bedroom for charging multiple devices.
Sadly, we had too much to do with the graduation that we did not even get to visit the tasting room. We did, however, patronize the newly opened Shy Bear Brewery in Lewistown (twice!), and we highly recommend it.
It is clear that a lot of love, attention to detail, and a good amount of cash has gone into the renovation and upkeep of this place. As owners of old houses, we really appreciated the work that has been done here. However, even with the new appliances, the beautiful bathroom, and the lovely, comfortable furnishings, my favorite thing about this cottage was that I could watch the train go by from my bed! That was the best!!
The cottage was beautiful and a winery next door!
Updated beautifully. Only concern was due to my age and eyesight, I opted to remain downstairs. The sofa is very comfortable and I slept fine. I would recommend this lovely cottage. The owners were friendly and always made sure we were satisfied with our stay. Be sure to plan a vacation here.
We appreciate you kind words and hope you will consider staying again. Enjoy the summer and many blessings to you and your family

Mark was wonderful with communicating and meeting us on the day of the arrival. Josh from the winery was beyond words of hospitable. My husband could have and wanted to chat with him for hours.we loved it all.... and we will be back.
Thanks for the kind words. We will welcome you back any time. Great game too! Go PSU
We truly enjoyed this cute little cozy place! The owner Mark was very nice and gave us a tour and explained the history of this little place which was very interesting. We didn't have time to visit the Burnt Timbers winery which is very close but that just gives us another reason to come back again!
