The private screened lanai has a panoramic view of San Carlos Bay. You can see no other lanais, just dolphins, pelicans, island birds and boats. Watching all the activity will become one of your favorite pastimes.

The complex has private boat slips for rent with direct access to the gulf. Slip rentals are weekly by contacting the complex manager.
Mariner Pointe is conveniently located just across the Sanibel bridge. The Island offers many activities. The famous Sanibel beach is just a mile away. It is a lovely walk or bike ride. Shells are plentiful year around. Beach chairs, umbrella and beach bag are waiting for you.
The Ding Darling Wildlife Center is fun to explore. There you can choose from guided boat tours to see marine life or either tram, auto or bike rides to see the birds and local wildlife. The white pelicans are usually visible in the late fall and winter. Enjoy island shopping or biking on the extensive bike trails. There are over 20 miles of trails on the island. You can purchase a day, week or monthly fitness pass at the Recreation Center which features an extensive selection of fitness equipment as well as many other sports and activities. Karen H. purchased this condo in 2011
Randy remembers coming to Sanibel on the ferry with his grandparents who had a house on Fort Myers beach. This was before the bridge was built. His Dad also had a house in Fort Myers. Many good memories are here for us.
Mariner Pointe is a quiet complex with private lanais and extraordinary views of the bay. This convenient location is easy on and off the island and yet convenient to everything the island has to offer.
We have just returned from our trip to Sanibel Island staying at this lovely condo. The condo is well appointed just a hop from Periwinkle Way where there are a large number of restaurants and cafes and of course shops. We were close to the beaches, the nearest one being Lighthouse Beach. The condo itself has wonderful views overlooking the Bay with a vast amount of wildlife from dolphins to osprey. The condo was very well equipped with everything you would need to make you trip comfortable and peaceful.
We had a wonderful time here and would have no hesitation recommending this property. Karen is a very nice person to deal with and if you have any queries she would have no problem helping you. We look forward to returning soon.
This was our first visit to Sanibel Island and we really enjoyed our stay. The condo has everything you would need and is a great location on the Island overlooking the bay and causeway. It is very comfortable and clean. Loved the kitchen!!! It was nice having the beach chairs there and not having to take some with us. They also had, books, blankets, beach towels, tennis rackets, beach nets, etc. Really everything you would need. We enjoyed the pool. It was basically right out the door of the unit and watching the boats coming and going, as well as the pelicans, dolphins and manatees from the screened in porch was great. We did enjoy the beaches in Captiva more than on Sanibel Island, the shelling was better on Captiva it seemed and the watered was clearer too.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this condo! From the moment we booked our stay here we couldn't wait to go. Once we got there, we were not disappointed. It was exactly how it was described. Karen was great to work with. Whenever we had a question for her, she always responded within an hour. This was our sixth visit to Sanibel and without a doubt, our best. The property manager at this complex was also awesome. We met him at the pool and he was very cordial. He gave us a lot of great ideas on things to do and where to eat. If you want to see dolphins, be sure to go out on the Sanibel Thriller. I could go on and on about our stay here. I will just say this, if you go to Sanibel and stay here, you will be very happy! We will be booking our next trip soon. Thanks Karen!!
Having recently returned from a three week stay at Mariner Pointe I can say we have not been disappointed. Inside the condo we were treated to a well furbished accommodation with some typical Floridian artwork, a good supply of towels and furniture for picnics or days out, a well laid out kitchen supplied with everything you would want for preparing your own meals , light refreshments and home cooking. Not that we felt in need with such an assortment of dining out options.( Loved the huge freezer and Ice maker - made the Margaritas taste special!)
The condo was in a great location on the waterfront and the access to the pier was very close and the fishing was exciting because you never knew what you would catch. Outside was a lovely pool with good seating if you just wanted to soak up the sun or read a book and BBQ stations a plenty.
You need a few days to adjust to the slower pace of living on the island and lunch time meals became the main course of the day with so many eateries, from late breakfasts at Over Easy to lunchtime snacks at Jerry's supermarket. Many eateries close down around 9.00 to 9.30, having said that, our favourite later eating preference was the Sandbar with pork chops and steaks to die for.
As a golfer I took the opportunity to play both the island courses and was extremely disappointed with the condition and price charged at the Dunes. Sanibel was slightly better and cheaper although lacking in practice facilities. By far the best course was Raptor Bay near Estero which boasted good practice facilities, a sleeve of balls, buggy and a total green fee of just over $50.
The Ding Darling Preserve is a big attraction and I was slightly underwhelmed by the drive through experience as there were not a lot of birds to be observed from the roadside and I suspect that you need the canoe to experience the more secluded areas. Taking a pontoon out on Tarpon Bay was great, though a half day went very quickly.
The Mariner Pointe apartment was a first floor, two bed unit which for a couple was excellent , however for an extended stay with four people may be a bit tight if you stay in for some time. The enclosed balcony had a net surrounding it which, whilst offering protection from the insects ( and there were plenty about) did feel a little claustrophobic.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and a location well worth a visit.
We had a wonderful time at Karen's condo! AS ADVERTISED! It had everything we needed and more, nothing was missing. Very clean, up to date property! Great kitchen appliances and great wash machine and dryer. Beds in both rooms were comfortable. I felt it was a big bonus to have a king in one room and queen in the second room. Made it the perfect place for 2 couples to stay. (Most other units I looked at had twins in the second bedroom.) The lanai was our favorite place! Nice corner unit with great privacy. Watched beautiful sunrises every morning while enjoying coffee and breakfast. Comfortable seating for the four of us. Enjoyed cocktails every evening on the lanai while watching dolphins, manatees, and boats go by.
Convenient location. Quick easy access to bike trails, causeway, and main areas. My husband could not believe you didn't need a fishing license to fish off the pier, but you don't. He brought his rod and reel and he had a great time! There was even a fishing rod in the spare bedroom that our son-in-law used! (Did't I mention it had everything you'd need and more!) Very relaxing for both of them.
Marina is very close and we had a great bonus when we booked a fishing trip with Cast About Charters... Captain Ben picked us up with the boat basically outside the door! Such service! He was a wonderful captain and we had a great time on Cast About Charters and highly recommend it. Beautiful boat, great captain. Fantastic time!
The condo was a great place to come home to after a day of fun in the sun! Can't say enough good things about this unit. Karen was easy to work with and got back to me in record time when ever I had a question. WOW! Never had this quick of response at other VRBO properties that we have rented. Thanks again to Karen and Randy for providing this beautiful home away from home. We definitely needed it after our long cold Wisconsin winter! : )
This beautiful condo had everything we required: fully stocked kitchen, beautiful view of the bay from the screened porch, comfortable beds, and easy access to the wonders of Sanibel Island. We ate all our meals overlooking the bay, where dolphins and sea birds put on a show for us. The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. Thank you, Karen, for providing such a lovely spot for our vacation.
Our unit at Mariner Pointe has the Bay on the back side and the canal on the front side. Just steps from our door you will find the heated pool, tennis courts, and grills. Shelling is fantastic on the Sanibel Beaches, especially on the west end of the island. The beach is about a mile away and and there is a deeded beach entry at the end of Lindgren Blvd. You can bring your boat and rent a slip by the week or fish off the fishing pier. The dolphins have a playground in the waters in front of our building. Just sit back and watch the show. We hope you love it as much as we do and return often.
