This third-floor end-unit in the well-desired Seascape condominiums offers views that are beyond belief. Wake up to the sounds of ocean waves and soak up the morning sun while watching fishing boats out on the horizon.
The balcony now has a white-tile floor, making one feel a sense of luxury as if visiting a pristine Grecian villa high above the sea and soft, sandy beach below.
Walk along the shore or simply rest your mind and body while watching waves lap rhythmically forward. Chat with fisherman along Freeman Park and the pier about the day's catch. Or rent bikes to ride around the colorful Island.
In the evening, enjoy watching surfers who dance across the ocean landscape year-round. Look close and you might spot some dolphins swimming by. At night, snuggle up with a book or loved one while overlooking the moon as it glides over the ocean skyline.
Sleep well at night in the king-size bed in the master bedroom. You'll melt right into your dreams on the luxury plush pillowtop mattress (bought 5/9/14) by Stearns & Foster, an American-made manufacturer located in North Carolina. In the morning, you can gaze out over the ocean without getting up. You can often spot an early-morning fishing boat out at sea.
*The bathroom is plain and simple. Photos are available upon request.
**Improvements in 2016 include a new couch with a queen-size mattress, a garbage disposal, fresh paint in the bedroom and a new light fixture. New windows, sliding glass door and wood blinds (November, 2013)
***For an ocean-view rental option, see my other listing:
Carolina Beach, on Pleasure Island, offers plenty of fun for families, singles and couples. Year-Round: Take surfing or stand-up paddle-board lessons year-round. Rent a kayak on the Cape Fear River. Or visit Wilmington's River Walk for a little history and culture.
Just a block away is North Fishing Pier. Try its crab-cake sandwich. A mile away is the marina, where you'll find plenty of fishing charters that extend into the off-season. Steps beyond that are beach shops, restaurants, and boardwalk rides and entertainment.
If you are looking to simply relax by the pool, you can use the private pool in the Seascape complex. It's as refreshing as a tall glass of lemonade on a hot summer day.

LOVE OUR BEACH! This condo is compliant with sales tax requirements of New Hanover County. Half of sales taxes go toward beach restoration about every three years.
I've always wanted a place by the beach. I love the North Carolina shoreline, especially Cape Fear. It's clean and natural. I enjoy sharing my place with vacationers. Everyone who has stayed at my place has been
so nice. They've treated the condo like the special place it is. And that feels good.
VRBO makes it possible for me to take care of vacation home.
Patti Mohr purchased this condo in 2012
I looked at a lot of places on the island with my real estate agent. Once I saw this oceanfront Seascape place, all the rest faded quickly into the background. I set my heart on this place and feel so fortunate it all came together.
Life is short and precious. It makes sense to spend as much time at the beach as much as possible and let contentment sink in.
Cozy quarters and the view. It feels pretty private.
Second time here and we absolutely love it! Great views and deck right on the ocean.
We had a great time at this condo! Patti was also great to work with and very helpful whenever we had questions. The view had to be our favorite. The bedroom window looked right out to the beach and was amazing to wake up to the sunrise. The patio was also amazing and we spent a lot of time just watching the waves. I would recommend this condo to any of my friends or family that want a relaxing vacation.
Our host was very polite and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our stay. There were a total of four adults for part of the week-long stay, and our host bought an air mattress and dropped it off for us to use, because she said she had recently learned the sofa was uncomfortable. My husband and I slept on the air mattress in the living room, because the sofa sleeper was a joke and there's no way we could sleep on it. I appreciated the host's attempts to make sure we were pleased, and she did ask us to let her know if we had any issues. I did not contact her during our stay because there were so many issues---I was just disappointed overall with the cleanliness and lack of upkeep on the place, and I knew there was no way she could remedy everything while we were there, so we decided to make the most of the time there without contacting her. That being said, some of the biggest issues were the noticeable dirt on the ceiling where the a/c blows out, dirty baseboards, scratched/dirty front door, outdated bathroom with very slow drain, and very old/worn pots/pans--really not even in good enough shape to use without everything sticking and making a mess. Kitchen was very sparsely appointed, with no sharp knife at all and melted plastic utensils for food prep. Just a few dishes, but they got EXTREMELY hot when we put them in the microwave to heat up food/drinks. I loved being oceanfront, but this place was no where near as nice as the photos report it to be. I'm sorry to have to leave a negative review, and I hope the owner is able to make some small changes that will greatly improve this property. Positives: owner is very concerned that we enjoy our stay and was very pleasant to speak to. Negatives: place needs a thorough cleaning and the cleaning crew needs to be fired--kitchen utensils, pots/pans, dishes need to be replaced.
This was our first visit to Carolina Beach. We are already planning on returning next summer. The condo was spotless and very comfortable. The location was very quiet and the view was breathtaking. We spent the days at the dog beach with our 10 year old black lab, Brody. He loved playing in the waves and chasing sea gulls. We took Brody to breakfast for scrambled eggs every morning to Gibby's. There are 9 dog friendly restaurants in Carolina Beach. We loved the little local restaurants (Hang 10 Grille, the seafood buffet at Finns, A & G BBQ and Michaelangelos Pizza). If you are looking for a nice quiet place to stay with a beautiful view this is the place to stay!
This year was our second stay in Patti's oceanfront Seascape rental. We love to stay near the pier because the view is spectacular. Patti's place was perfect for us last year and so we knew where to go again.
I stumbled upon this place when I was looking for vacation rentals near the beach and was lucky enough to find one at an affordable price right on the beach! Patti's place was a perfect size for a small getaway and had everything we needed. Patti responded quickly to questions we had and was an email/phone call away if we needed her throughout the week. We will definitely be recommending this place to others!
