Very nice and clean home. My family and I had a great time during our stay. The downstairs bedrooms are very roomy. we had a single air mattress in each room and still had plenty of floor space. Our kids loved the video game console which had all our old games like ms. pacman, frogger, donkey kong, digdug, etc..... Great place.

Beautiful view and comfy cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin and the view is amazing. The cabin is very well maintained and clean. We only used the hot tub once but to be able to relax in it and take in the mountain view was wonderful. The initial trip up the road to the cabin was a little hairy but after a couple trips it was a breeze. You definitely don't want to meet another car driving on Blue Tick. Overall amazing time and we are already planning to stay here again. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Owner's Response: So glad you got over the initial drive up the mountain. It is well worth the drive. Having all blacktop roads is great. Some guests are a little scary just being in the mountains, but to get the views you have to get up a little high. Especially if you are use to flat land! LOL Once you drive up to the cabin once it is easy and you appreciate that VIEW! I am so glad you got to enjoy our little peace of heaven and make family memories!

Great for ages 7-70!

The kids loved the game room! The adults enjoyed the hottub and the beautiful views. We loved making smores at the fire pit. We loved nearby Pigeon Forge, but could've stayed in the cabin and had just as much fun!

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed your time. My kids and grandkids also just like to stay in the cabin and enjoy the peace. Just looking at the mountains is so peaceful and there is so much to do at the cabin and only 7 minutes away. Please come back and stay again in the future. If you can try to pick different seasons to visit because each season offers different views of the mountains. Our cabin is a wonderful place and we love to share it with others to make memories!

Amazing View

  • 4 of 5

This mountain chalet has the most amazing view! The chalet itself is a great design and accomodates 10 people if needed. We had 4 adults and 2 teens and we were very comfortable. There is plenty of seating in the living room and the kitchen is nice and big to accomodate multiple people trying to fix their coffee. The game loft and hot tub were huge hits with the teens. Washer/dryer was great. Decks were great for enjoying the view. Wonderful new charcoal grill and charcoal was provided.

This chalet would be ideal if there were some minor improvements made: nightlights are a must - it is incredibly dark at night and impossible to get to the bathroom without cracking a shin, luggage racks/stands would be helpful (we had 2 ladies in their 70's and they could not bend over to access suitcases on floor, handicap grip bar in upstairs tub (both grandmas complained that the tub was slippery), bathmats (tile floors were very slippery when wet and there weren't enough towels provided to use one on the floor), dishclothes or dish sponge (most pots and bigger items in the cabinets were dirty - providing something to wash them with may fix that. We had to use a washcloth), and hooks on doors or walls in bedrooms and bathrooms to hang robes, clothes, towels.

Repairs needed include: the downstairs bath door squeaks and woke us up at night, the railing on the stairs is loose, several lamps did not have bulbs, upstairs hall light was not working, and some dishes were cracked.

The chalet was clean, but the placemats and some pillowcases were not. There was supposed to be enough towels for 10 people, but only 2 hand towels and 3 washclothes were provided (caretaker was supposed to drop more off, but it didn't happen so we bought paper towels to use for washing hands). We also had to buy toilet paper and hand soap. We were unable to take trash out to garbage "cage" because both cans in it were full, so we had bags of trash in the cabin with us all week.

I emailed the owners with these concerns twice, but my husband had to call to get a response. Nothing was resolved while we were there for 6 days.

This chalet has loads of potential and hopefully some of these things will be addressed. I don't want to discourage anyone from staying here, it is gorgeous! We would definately stay again if concerns are addressed. I do recommend a new caretaker perhaps...

Rating: 5 stars for view, structure, and game loft/hot tub. 2 stars for maintenance. 3 stars for cleanliness.

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your overall experience at our cabin. I would like to address some of the issues you did have with your stay. Most of which is to personal preference. Most of the guests that stay at our cabin do not like night lights because they like the cabin feel. The cabin is made of wood, so doors will make noise, especially when the temperature changes. The handrail is perfectly fine. I had my contractor go check it out. Also luggage racks are used in hotels where they don't have much closet space. We have ample closets and large dresser and nightstand to store clothing. When in any bathroom you have to be cautious when bathing and having wet floors. We did have the garbage taken care of since both were filled so quickly. As per the rental we provide a starter rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, garbage bag. When you stay for a week you will need to purchase more supplies as our family needs them. Like I explained earlier this is a cabin rental and not a hotel room. I have been having my caretaker since 2010 and she is awesome as do most of the other reviews agree!

Perfect stay.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here with several friends and it ended up being the ideal location for our trip. It's a beautiful, well-furnished home and had all kinds of things to entertain us. It was very close to Pigeon Forge and was a pretty easy drive to and from the city. If I am ever in the area again, I would certainly look to stay at this home again.

Owner's Response: It is really close to all the attractions and makes it easy to meet up with others. The location is always a great thing to have when your visiting an area because you don't want to spend your day driving to and from places. Most attractions are within 7-15 minutes of our cabin. Please come back again in the future!

Blue Mountain Breeze

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so very much for sharing your most STELLAR cabin with us during our stay at Pigeon Forge. I just want to say that we will MOST definately be returning in the future. Our family of 4 found that relaxing in your Hot Tub on the deck to be an absolute High Point after our day of attractions and touring! We all so enjoyed your Gaming Room and several dollars exchanged hands into the Winners!! Your kitchen was well stocked with all of the items that we needed during breakfast and lunch, (I did have to use the Blender Pitcher as I could not find another). The Cabin was decorated simply yet with superb taste. We found it to be well cleaned and maintained. The furniture was well placed and comfortable. I cannot tell you how much time we all rocked on the deck taking in the fabulous view your cabin offered. The beds were very inviting after a long day, and we all slept well every night. Your prompt reply assisting us to light the pilot on the gas fireplace after strong winds the night before allowed us to totally enjoy the warmth and comfy feeling every night!!! We tried lighting a fire with your wood, in the fire pit, but it was too wet and we ended up purchasing a bundle for "Smores" several evenings. I'm taking the time to write this for you as I truely believe you have a beautiful gem of a cabin that you share with others!!! The only downside during the week was that we just could not figure out the TV remote control and had to "Rough It" by manually changing channels on the unit. Thanks you again, and we will be returning!! Denise Erlandson and Family.

Owner's Response: It is so nice to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed your vacation. I like to cook when I'm at the cabin, so I try to have everything that you would need to cook. I also replace often and keep everything up to date. The views are amazing and I am so glad we can share them with so many of our guests. You got to enjoy my favorite part, just rocking outside and enjoying the views and piece and quiet. It is such a comfortable cabin that everyone can enjoy! Please come back and stay again.
