The Pippin House is a beautiful neighboring property to Manzano Mountain Retreat and because of this, it can be used by many of the over 200 organizations that utilize MMR.
After extensive renovation of this log cabin, we have fallen in love with staying there on our visits to MMR. It is treated now as our second home.
It was a beautiful place with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. It had everything you needed to feel at home as well as all of the beauty of nature, something for everyone.
Everything the property owners claim about this welcoming cabin is true. Beyond that, you'll awaken senses long forgotten when you spend a night, or many, in this magical place: The dark night sky makes the planets and stars seem close enough to touch. Your reprieve from daily-city noise makes the quiet deafening. But if you listen carefully, you'll hear the breezes singing back through the pines and pinions in harmony with the variety of birds and wild life passing by. You'll be surrounded by clean, sweet air and beautiful vistas. Unlike most mountain cabins, this one is located in gentle, wooded foothills. It's interior provides comfort with upscale furniture (Lazy-boy leather recliners and sofa) comfortable beds, and, naturally, a dishwasher. The property managers keep it spotless and everything in working order. I've spent many, many hours in many different seasons enjoying my stay in this cabin. Although this cabin is tucked away in the foothills and woods from other residences, you'll discover a piece of New Mexico that is safe and quite friendly.
