Enjoy the cozy comfort of a wood burning fireplace during the fall and winter months while watching the new HDTV in the inviting first floor living room. Free WiFi is included for your convenience as well.
Our guests are within walking distance (1/2 mile) to Cedar Ridge Community Lake, which features a playground and bbq area. There is no additional fee to access the lake, the water is clear and there is parking and clean restrooms too!
When you arrive at the house, you will walk into a galley style kitchen which opens into the downstairs living room and dining area for 6.
Down the hall is the master bedroom, with a Cal king bed, dresser, blanket chest, and rocking chair.
The first floor also has a brightly lit full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. Just behind the bathroom is the laundry room with a washer and dryer and secondary entrance to the home.
Returning to the main living room, there is a sliding door leading to the deck which seats 8-10 guests, and has a gas bbq. During snow season, enjoy the snow flurries and watch the snow cover the trees outside the house! It is truly beautiful to watch!
On the second floor is a loft area and a HUGE bedroom. The loft area has a futon, two recliners, a t.v., and an alcove with an incredibly comfortable queen bed.
The upstairs bedroom sleeps 6 guests! Twin, twin bunk beds, a twin trundle and a queen sleigh bed with a pillow-top mattress as well as a table and four chairs are in here. There is a cedar chest with additional blankets for guest use. Even with all these furnishings, there is still ample open space.
The large, bright upstairs bathroom features hand-scraped hardwood floors, ample counter space, and a shower.
This home has a wonderful balance of warm and cozy mountain charm while providing the comforts that our guests deserve.

'THIS IS A NICE HOUSE!' said one recent guest, and that's exactly what you will say too.
Growing up and living in the Bay Area, both of us have visited the Twain Harte area since our teen years.
We introduced our own children many years ago and have loved going to places only this area can offer. Whether it's Columbia State Park, Pinecrest Lake, horseback riding, snow play or skiing at Dodge Ridge and Leland Park, the options are endless and ever changing.
We have tailored our property to those who work hard and want to relax while away.
Jim and Jill purchased this house in 2012

Overall we loved it.
When you first walk in the smell reminds me of my grandma's house, sorta like a musty smell, I assume from not having the windows open much. Its a bit overwhelming at first but you kind of get used to it. We went during a heat wave and the swamp coolers really did help and quite honestly I don't know if we could've stayed the entire time had there been no cooling system. My husband had a hard time sleeping with the noise from the swamp coolers but we couldn't turn them off either since we were hot. We went to the lake twice, the first time the passcode left for us was incorrect but luckily another family who had the same problem the day before let us in. I recall another review had something about the code being a problem and I don't know how often they change it but you first might want to make sure the code is up to date. Kids enjoyed the rope swing, my husband and I floated around on tubes. The bathrooms were clean, especially the one upstairs. I missed it in the details so didn't realize there was no dishwasher, I re-washed everything I used since I knew all of it had been hand washed by others and I wasn't sure how well someone would clean the dishes at the end of their stay when trying to pack up and leave. It would've been nice to have a new sponge. The deck was peaceful, we did BBQ both nights we were there. We tried to eat outside but there were a lot of flies so gave up. I have pet allergies and surprised to see an actual dog crate in the bedroom upstairs, I was worried but it was cleaned pretty well as it did not bother me at all and I slept in that room being that it was also the coolest room at night.
The owners were really good with communicating with me considering they were on a vacation themselves, which I totally appreciated. I did inform them of a couple of items that I noticed needing some TLC and they responded back thanking me for bringing it to their attention and would take care of it.
The cabin was great very clean and had the full kitchen set up. Jim was very helpful and informative regarding our stay. Will definitely be going back.
The property was just great. We saw lots of deer and bats. The deer were two different Bucks seen at two different times along with two does and twin babies.
Lots of fun.
found lot of dog hairs. bathrooms are really tough to have bath. No bodywash or soap provided as a basic requirement
We had a most enjoyable week. The house was very nice and well stocked. We were here during a very hot week, but the swamp coolers kept things nice and cool. We enjoyed our evening meals out on the deck, under the stars. There are many things to do in the area, something for everyone. The owners were very accessible and provide the best for their guests. Definitely hope to stay here again.
