This property was unspoiled, all forested, and offered opportunity to nestle the house among native trees and wildlife where nobody had cleared before. Maximum trees and native plants have been retained. Wildlife is appreciated and views are natural.
Architect designed and built this home to maximize the spectacular forest setting, using major glass areas to frame vistas from every room. Featured is a great room with ceiling slope matching the roof, bedrooms/baths on opposite sides of the living area. In this house you can experience the Florida wilderness in comfort and style.
We stayed four nights and it was perfect. Went Kayaking during the day. The Millennium Cabin is located just a few minutes from anything you need but is very quiet and private. The house is beautiful. We will return in a few weeks.
Great stay! Love the design of the house . . . lots of counter space in the kitchen and liked functionality of the corner sink. Big windows all around and lots to see outside. An interesting architectural experience was also clean, quite, comfortable, and private.
Lots of fenced space outside with provision for most any kind of pets and horses complete with water, electric, and security lighting. We found a lot to explore and enjoy. There is a trail that goes into the woods around the sand lake . . .
Good central location if you plan to explore in all directions as we did.
Owners were considerate and very helpful. Nice people . . .
We had a long weekend off and decided to go explore Springs in the area. This property is beautiful clean and comfortable. The property is huge and if you are a nature lover you will be happy here. Can't wait to go back soon and relax once more in this amazing place. Thank you again to the owners!!
This is an extremely attractive property in absolutely pristine condition.Everything you need in the household is there and then some. The decorating is very attractive and the furniture most comfortable. We have owned and rented vacation properties all over the country and this one is not only unique but a true value. Thanks for sharing it. Dr. Richard and Mary Kobetz, Venice, Florida
We stayed here for 2 weeks in January and found the house very comfortable. We loved watching the Sand Hill Cranes and herons from the living room picture Windows. Our dogs enjoyed walking the trails with us. Be prepared for ticks. We visited the springs and parks nearby. We thought Shalom Park in Ocala was special. We enjoyed eating at Gator Joe's and Big Bob's Italian Restaurant.
The property was huge, excellently priced, and very nicely decorated. The doggy door is a great addition when you want to lay on the couch and watch the dogs sprinting all around the yard and letting themselves back in.
The only negative thing we experienced was that you can barely go outside without being absolutely demolished by mosquitoes. That's nothing wrong with the house though. Blame it on it being Florida and not having brought repellant!
We're absolutely going to be staying again!
Adjacent to Ocala National Forest hiking and horseback trails, natural springs and streams with canoeing and swimming. Spectacular Florida Carriage Museum and equestrian resort. Florida Horse Park (Equestrian Events and trail rides) 45 minutes away. Cross Florida Greenway (horse, bike, hiking trails).
