About Vicki Radtke

We presently live in California. Herman grew up in Wisconsin and Vicki in Michigan. We own a cottage on East Bay and hope one day to make it our permanent home.

Vicki Radtke purchased this condo in 2012

Why Vicki Radtke chose Northern Michigan

We love the Traverse City area. There is always a wide choice of things to do year around. This condo offers access to all the events, sport activities, music and leisure that the area has to offer.

What makes this condo unique

We fell in love with this condo as soon as we saw it. It has the original brickwork, soaring ceilings and windows, tall doorway and transoms. The buildings are a destination in themselves. Exploring all the different areas in and around them takes you back in time.

Loved the location!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from our second stay in this condo in as many summers. The ideal location is just under a mile from the beach, a wonderful winery is steps away, and amazing restaurants on location. The unit is kept clean and neat, with three levels for the family to spread out a bit. We had a minor issue when our children locked the keys in the condo, but Vicki helped us quickly and graciously understood. Thank you for giving us another year of fabulous, fun family memories in TC at your condo, Vicki. We hope to return again and again!

Enjoyed every minute!

Pristine accommodations in a beautiful spot with easy access to all we wanted to see! Perfect for our multi-generational vacation. The 3 levels allowed us all to keep our preferred schedules, staying up late, rising early, etc. I would go back in a heart-beat!

Comforts of Home with a Touch of the Past

  • 5 of 5

This Traverse City condo was picture perfect! A beautiful home in a beautiful part of Michigan. The condo was everything you could want, the bakery across the street a daily stop, the nearby lakes breathtakingly beautiful and lake fishing was spectacular. This vacation was intended to give my family a touch of Michigan, my home town. Hard to say who enjoyed it more!

We have been attending the Horseshows by the Bay for the last several years. As a group of five women, staying in this lovely condo was a much more pleasant experience than trying to share a hotel room! The condo is beautifully appointed and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating. The efforts that are underway to recreate the buildings are well planned and tasteful, and we commend the effort to preserve an important piece of history. Recommend this rental highly!

A Grand Experience at the Grand Traverse Commons

  • 5 of 5

Our daughter is a competitive horse back rider and we were in Traverse City to attend the Horse Shows by the Bay for two weeks. We were a little worried about the distance from this condo to the Flint Horse Park, but it turned out to be no big deal. The condo was perfect for us! There were three of us. We had plenty of room, the place was immaculate and beautifully decorated. We were able to come back from a long day at the horse show and just relax. And the place is very quiet so we always got a good nights sleep. We had fun checking out some of the eateries in the area. The bakery across the street from us is unbelievable .... check out the almond croissants and the artisan pizzas that are available on Saturdays. The Underground Cheesecake has cheesecake that is to die for and the Higher Grounds coffee shop had some of the best coffee we had ever tasted (just be sure to bring your own cup ... very eco conscious!). And the Trattoria Stella restaurant had some of the best Italian food that we had ever had! The only drawback to some of these establishments was their limited hours of operation. As a result, we did end up cooking in the condo more that we had planned. But the condo's kitchen was extremely well stocked which made it easy to do. The owners of the condo were also extremely easy to work with. We would highly recommend this condo to others planning a stay in Traverse City.
