Swallow Cottage

Swallow cottage is comfortably furnished to a high standard, fully double glazed with electric storage heaters and sleeps four persons. Car parking is right beside the cottage and a level, stone flagged path leads to the front door which opens into an entrance porch with cloakroom. This gives access to the main living area comprising open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with doors leading to a patio area with garden furniture. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, both with en suite bathrooms. Most of the accommodation is on the ground floor and is easily accessible by wheelchair. The kitchen is well laid out, with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The lounge has comfortable sofas and log effect electric fire and is set around the patio doors, enjoying the view across the bay. Stairs lead from the lounge to the mezzanine floor, a well lit TV sun lounge with sea views over the bay from the large roof windows.

Bay Farm self catering holiday cottages were built on the site of the old Bay Farm steading in 2001. In quiet, rural surroundings they are situated just above the shore of Munlochy Bay SSSI, in the sheltered south east area of Scotland's Black Isle. The cottages are south facing, with lovely sea views across the bay to the forested hills and farmland on the south shore, with the mountains of Strathconon in the distance. The cottages are constructed to modern building standards, with traditional exteriors, and are comfortably furnished to a high standard and well equipped. The two cottages are built to the same high standard, and offer the same level of accommodation and equipment, the only difference being the colour schemes. Both cottages sleep four and offer good disabled access, complying with modern standards and regulations, making them wheelchair-friendly both inside and out. Weekly bookings are from Saturday to Saturday and weekly rates are from £430 to £625 depending on season.

Bay Farm self catering holiday cottages are situated just above the shore of Munlochy Bay SSSI in the sheltered south east area of Scotland's Black Isle, within three miles of the attractive fishing village of Avoch. As well as being an ideal base for touring the unspoiled beauty spots and attractions of the Black Isle, or the grandeur and wildness of the Northern Highlands, there are many excellent walks in the immediate local area which is rich in bird, animal and plant life, a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Inverness a city of culture is 25 minutes drive away, with its trendy bars, contemporary cafes and excellent restaurants. Visit the famous Loch Ness and Culloden Battlefield or explore Sutherland and Caithness and the rugged west coast. Enjoy the beaches of Moray Firth and watch the dolphins, or visit the many castles, distilleries and museums in the area, or simply relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity that gives Bay Farm its unique character.

Cancellation: The holidaymaker is liable for the total hire charge unless written notice of the intention to cancel the booking is received at least eight weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. The deposit paid to confirm the booking and other monies paid, will only be refunded if the Owner is able to re-let the holiday cottage for the period of the holiday let. In the event of re-letting the Owner will retain the sum of £100 plus VAT to cover administrative costs and (subject to deduction of that sum) refund to the holidaymaker the balance of monies received from the holidaymaker or the sum received from re-letting whichever sum shall be the lower. Every effort will be made to re-let a cancelled booking but the holidaymaker is advised to take out holiday insurance to cover that eventuality.

Nice cottage for trips to highlands

We received a warm weöcom. Butter cake an breaf were there already. Nicely ans quite located. A Bit Top gar away Form an Open Streets.

Magnifique location dans un coin de paradis

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette location trés bien équipée et trés propre avec une superbe vue sur la baie et sur les phoques que nous apercevions à chaque marée basse. Nous avons également apprécié le panier composé offert à l'arrivée.

Les chambres sont trés spacieuses avec beaucoup de rangement et une salle de bain particulière pour chacune. Il y a un grand salon et une cuisine américaine trés bien équipée. C'est vraiment trés spacieux. Il ya également une belle mezzanine avec vue sur la baie. L'environnement est trés calme (adepte de la ville et de ses animations s'abstenir). Nous avons eu le plaisir de voir se promener des chévres autour du gîte. La terrasse est trés agréable mais malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu vraiment en profiter, la météo n'étant pas trés propice.
