Please note: The house is already booked for the HOLIDAYS and then will be owner-occupied with the exception of President's Week (approximately 2/22 - 3/1) and Easter (approximately 4/19 - 4/26). We're somewhat flexible on those dates so if you are interested, please inquire. If you need to sleep more than 6 people or have three bedrooms, add Casita Viliano to your booking. Email for specific pricing.
CASA VILIANO is a very liveable home, where you can lounge by the pool by day, enjoy the sunset in the evening, and gaze at the stars and the water as you sip your nightcap on the terrace off the master bedroom before bed. The house has two bedrooms on the upper level and can be combined with the casita to make a three-bedroom home. The second bedroom is in a separate building from the main house, so everyone has their privacy. We make an adjustment on the rate if you are only going to use the master bedroom in the house.
The house has two and a half baths and an outdoor shower by the pool; a large, well-equipped kitchen; dining room; living room and three terraces. There are two twin-size daybeds in the living room, which can be used to sleep extra people. A/C is available in the master bedroom for an extra fee (to cover electricity) and is usually necessary June through October.
High quality linens and towels. Beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are provided.
CASA VILIANO is located on the north end of town, just a 10-minute walk to the village and the beach. Most visitors will not need a car. There are golf cart rentals available in the village and these have become very popular. We have generous parking spaces.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
We have house managers, Alex Moeller and Roy Serur, who do check in and check out, and are available to assist with any issues that might arise.
We live up the street from a very rustic, traditional Mexican neighborhood. There are three rental home at the top of the hill, all frequently rented as it is a safe, comfortable -- and popular -- location.
Sayulita is a walkable community and you can easily walk to the beach and the village from our house. If you wish to visit other towns, such as San Pancho, there's a bus at the foot of the hill, or taxis.
In 2006 we visited Sayulita for the first time, fell in love with it and bought the lot our house now stands on. We live in Buffalo, NY, and have been spendingJanuary to May of each year at our house. Cal is a retired school administrator and I am a Public Relations Consultant. When we are in Sayulita we rent the casita, and when we're in the States we rent the house and the casita. Over the past 10 years we've thoroughly enjoyed the people we've met through renting, and now count many of them among our friends.
Donna Evans-Deyermond purchased this villa in 2007
We think the location of Casa Viliano is ideal because you can walk to both the village and the beaches from the house. Most renters find Casa Viliano to be more homey and better equipped than the run-of-the-mill rental. We also have a house manager who is readily available to help with any problems that might arise. The village of Sayulita offers lots of restaurants and entertainment, but retains a true Mexican flavor. The north end of the beach is quiet and peaceful, while the village end offers more excitement. If you are reasonably fit, you don't need a car -- and the views from the terraces at night are spectacular!
In addition to location, location, location, at Casa Viliano you can take yoga classes, rent a surf board or a kayak, arrange for surf lessons, or set up a fishing trip. If you are staying at our casita while the house is occupied, you have complete privacy on your own terrace. We also supply beach chairs and beach umbrellas, and -- since we like to cook -- our kitchens are well stocked with Calphalon pots, Fiesta Ware dishes, and sharp knives.
Location, Location, Location.
This beauty of a home will help you unwind as soon as you slide open the doors. Close to the fantastic village of Sayulita, it was an easy jaunt down the hill from the house to the beach, restaurants, and even the bus stop, if you choose to explore neighbouring towns/cities (i.e. Punta Mita, Beucerias, Puerto Vallarta, etc) .
The home had a great layout with a huge living room, with sliding doors onto the Veranda and our own pool overlooking the majestic valley. The pool was a great way to start and end the day. We also enjoyed lovingly curated pieces of local art tastefully spread throughout the house. Basically, it was easy to relax in this place.
Equipped with a large kitchen there was space to cook/socialize as a group and we had everything we needed to cook up your own meals when we decided to do so every now and again...however it was hard to cook with all the great food in town. From hot and spicy no look Al Pastor tacos (from Tacos el Ivan) to cannon burritos from Burrito Revolution, great coffee spots, pizza, to local artisans (I could keep going), this place was amazing!
P.S. - Don't forget to look in the binder that Cal and Donna put together for the "to do's" during your stay. I've been to Sayulita multiple times...but I'm glad I took a peruse, it's a good resource.
Highly encourage anyone thinking of going to Sayulita to book this place.
Couldn't ask for more. Cal and Donna went out of their way to make our three week stay all that we could ask for and more. They are both VERY active in the local community with fund raising for the local schools, producing local theater, golfing :-), and yet found time to take us out to several of their favorite restaurants and to hook us up with a golf cart rental. The Casita was very clean and comfy. The bed was great although by nite we were so exhausted we could have slept on a rock or the beach. The Casita has everything you need to cook all your meals at home, however we found we could eat out for the same or LESS that what it cost to buy and prepare meals at home. Mamma Mia's was our favorite Italian restaurant and Ruben's has awesome sandwich's and salads large enough to feed 2 people for less that $6.00 us or 110 pesos. Pacifico Beer on the beach with and awning and 2 beach chairs is 30 pesos.( $1.50us ) Bus travel is VERY easy and inexpensive. Buses run all day every 20 minutes or so and it cost $4.00us round trip to Puerto Vallarta. Friday's farmers market was very interesting with a lot of homegrown fruits and veggies and also many handcrafted original items. The farmers market, downtown, and the beach's are all within a short walking distance however coming home there are some hills you may have to stop and catch your breath!! I will recommend Casa/Casita Viliano to my friends and family and hope to return again soon. Thanks again to Cal and Donna for a wonderful three weeks in Paradise !! Pete & Sue
Everything is exactly how they advertise. Plenty of everything, great beds, towels(including beach), dishes and all the extras that show the owners live there when not renting to us lucky people. We really appreciated the beach umbrella and chairs. This is a perfect place for people who don't mind a short steep walk on rutted road to the various activities. You can always rent a golf cart from Roy and problem solved.
Perfect!...from start to finish...Donna and Cal were a pleasure to deal with and arrangements were effortless...I stayed in the Casita which has everything one needs and then some...property manager Ramon and his son were extremely helpful and pleasant...Casita Viliano is in a great location with just a short walk to either the beach or to town...surfing is amazing for all levels and Patricia and gang at Captain Pablo's were the best for surf rental and lessons...food in town was absolutely delicious!...I would highly recommend Casa/Casita Viliano to anybody anytime...I'm sure I'll be back...thanks so much Donna & Cal.....cheers! :-)
We just returned from a three week stay in Sayulita and I have to say that this home was one of our favorite parts of our vacation. Having two small children who weren't always up for spending all day at the beach or out doing other activities, we found that the pool (which was mere steps away from the open family room) was a savior. The home itself is gorgeous and so much bigger than it appeared in the photos. The kitchen was stocked with all the comforts of home…tons of cookware/glassware/cutlery. There was a nice sized desk in the main living area that opened up to the pool and terrace, which was wonderful since I had to work on-and-off during our time there. A big concern of mine before we got there was how nice the bed and pillows would be (who wants to spend a vacation on a crappy mattress). Well, they were AWESOME. I slept like a baby in a 5 star hotel. The air conditioning in the bedroom saved us. It was June, and much hotter than I thought it would feel. We actually stayed in a different rental on our first night in town, which didn't have A/C, and the night was so miserable that the next day I asked Donna, who we had originally booked our last week in town with, if we could move into her place early. Thank goodness Casa Viliano wasn't booked. She got us in there immediately and was so kind in our back-and-forth texts, even though she was on vacation herself. Our kids had a ball in the house. There are lots of fun nooks to play in, and they loved the outdoor shower. We got to see several small bright green parrots playing in a tree one near us one afternoon while we were in the pool. Chickens, iguanas, frogs and brightly colored birds also made guest appearances at the casa during our stay. The hill to the house is VERY steep. We rented a golf cart, and I honestly give props to the reviewers who said they didn't need it. Maybe it seemed harder to walk because of the hot June heat? Anyway, we loved having the golf cart. It just made everything more fun. Thank you Casa Viliano and Donna, for providing the backdrop to so many great family memories!!!
My family just returned from a week staying in Sayulita. We rented both Casa Viliano and the Casita below the casa. The casa provided two large bedrooms, living, dining, kitchen and deck - all very ample spaces! The casita was a perfect addition as we needed three bedrooms. We rented a golf cart for exploring the town, but you really did not need it as the town and beaches were only a 10 minute walk from the property (but the golf cart was fun!). The casa and casita both are very beautiful, and Ramon (the manager) was easily accessible and very helpful with taxis, tours, etc. I would highly recommend Casa Viliano and the Casita for a large family or multiple couples.
Sayulita is a fishing/surfing village with numerous restaurants and lovely beaches. Visitors will enjoy the many attractions for tourists -- including jungle tours and zip-lining, yoga, a Film Festival and surf competitions -- mixed with the culture of a traditional Mexican town. Nearby San Pancho and Nuevo Vallarta offer golf, there are Petroglyphs to be seen in San Marco, and a number of authentic Mexican markets to visit. You can take yoga classes; or rent a surf board or kayak and take surf lessons or go off on a fishing trip.
