Mas Malou offers more than 4300 Sq. ft of living space and a 100% private walled garden of 6500 Sq. ft with a heated secure swimming pool and is located just 1o min away from Uzes.

The old Farm house has the ideal setup when traveling with kids or 2 families as the house offers 2 separate staircases to the bedroom floors. Both upstairs sections have 2 spacious double bedrooms with an on suite bathroom and one on-suite shower room. Mas Malou is more than fully equipped; 3 outdoor covered terraces, one with a lounge seating area, 2 BBQ sets (gas & Oklahoma BBQ), Ground floor playroom with Ping-Pong table, Out-door fat-Boys, upstairs another playroom with Pool table and lounge area, small cozy salon with fire place, Diner area with fire place and a large open fully equiped kitchen. (La Cornue Stove, Microwave, American fridge, Steam oven, dishwasher, etc). On the ground floor you can find a spacious laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

Security gates are installed for the swimming pool and the 1st floor terrace for people traveling with small children. Baby-cott and high-chair are available as well.

In the 2 out of the 4 double bedrooms the beds can be separated into single beds setup. In short, if you are looking for a modern decorated old farmhouse with lots of living space, Mas Malou is the location.

About Karen Verheyden

We are the Regnier family living in Belgium with our 2 kids, Maxime, 10 and Louise, 15 years old. My husband is a real Frenchy and I'm Belgian, natively speaking Flemish.

We both run a busy life working in ICT and have a love for the nice things in life like traveling, gastronomy, art and spending time with friends.

Why Karen Verheyden chose Uzes - Pont du Gard

When we visited Uzes in 2003 we instantly fell in love with the city and the Gard area. As it is just a bit less touristic than the Luberon we found that it is vibrant all year round as maybe one day we might just move there permanently.

The challenge was then to find the right house so we started our long search. During 2 years we visited more than 60 properties. After so many unfruitful screenings we kind of gave up of finding our dream house until... the time we traveled to Uzes only to enjoy a nice vacation just after our youngest son was born. Disappointed by our previous visits we agreed not to spend our vacation seeing more houses. When we ran into the lady of the agency by accident she informed us that there was a house we definitely should visit and that it had not been put publicly on sale yet. And so we did accept her request... The moment we entered the door onto the garden of Mas Malou we we fell in love with the house and put in an offer the day after. Still today we believe we were very lucky to find our little heaven in France and if we hadn't traveled that time to Uzes after my son was born we'd probably still be looking around. And so the name of our House became Mas Malou. Mas means old Farmhouse, as it is actually an old silk farm and Malou comes from the names of our 2 children. Maxime & Louise.

Every year we spend a few weeks at Mas Malou and we are happy to share this great place with other people so that they as well can discover this beautiful part of France.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We love Mas Malou for

- Beautiful private walled garden & swimming pool. No view-ins from neighbors but still on the town square of a very small village. (600 inhabitants)

-Only 10 minutes away from the center of Uzes.

-Very spacious with a clean layout but still cozy even just when occupying with 2 people.

-Just the right level of old elements with a mix of contemporary & provencal styles.

-Quiet village but not isolated

-3 Terraces, one on next to the kitchen on the 1st floor offering a nice view over the village and 2 private terraces in the garden.

very nice vacation

We enjoyed the well equipped house with its nice garden and pool. There is so much space and many bathrooms. We liked that a lot. The village is small and quiet, we slept perfectly! A very good place to relax and calm down.

great family getaway

We booked this fabulous place to celebrate my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary with our family of 4 and my parents-in-law. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the quiet side of Uzes' suburbs. The home is beautifully decorated and equipped, exactly like a home away from home. You have plenty of space to enjoy quiet time for yourself, as well as with the family. Our girls loved the rooms directly above the kitchen, having their own space to play, read, and nap. The kitchen is professionally equipped and we were able to enjoy all of our meals at home. A short drive away is the local boulangerie and Carrefour, where you can buy all you need for your stay.

The owners and their cleaning lady, Amandine, ensured that our needs and comfort were attended to. We arrived to find cute packets of Haribo for our girls and two bottles of wine from the local winery. The pool and garden are perfect for privacy and summer enjoyment. The playroom (with ping pong table and other games) was great for our girls. The billiard table was great for family entertainment. Very comfortable rooms, linens were fresh, and the place is very clean. The owners truly understand the art of luxury rental pleasure.

I highly recommend this place for a family getaway!

Brilliant place to spend a holiday!

Mas Malou was a brilliant place to stay for 6 adults, 2 children and a toddler. It made us go 'wow' on walking around. There was everything and more we needed. All bedrooms were different and mixed original with new fittings which were fantastic. Kitchen had everything you'd possibly need, even a steam oven! Very well equipped for children and toddlers. Lots of toys for indoor/outdoor, a large pool table in a room with lots of relaxing seating, a table tennis table in another room with access to the outdoor pool. As our visit was October, the pool could have been warmer, even though the weather was great. Plenty of outdoor seating and bbq,s. There was washing and drying facilities available. La Bruguiere is a good base for visiting lots of historical sites. 1 week was not long enough to do all we would have liked. Uzes is a lovely town, and great market day on a Saturday, with lots of really good eating places and is only a ten minute drive from La Bruguiere. Just thinking about Mas Malou, I wish I was back there, we all had a great time!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Etwa 15 Minuten entfernt von Uzès mit allen Supermärkten, Tankstellen liegt das Haus in einem kleinen Ort (leider ohne Einkaufsmöglichkeiten). Also ruhige Lage aber trotzdem nicht isoliert - volle Privatsphäre durch die schönen alten Steinmauern rings um das Grundstück herum


- 4 große Schlafzimmer mit en suite Badezimmer - sehr individuell und gemütlich

- große komplett (!!) ausgestattete Küche, die wir nicht nur zum Kochen sondern auch zum Essen genutzt haben

- separates Esszimmer mit allem Geschirr das man sich nur vorstellen kann

- WLAN auf dem ganzen Gelände, Lautsprecherabdeckung in Küche und Speisezimmer und Terassen und Garten, leicht mit SONOS System aussteuerbar

- Wohnzimmer mit bequemen Sofas, großem Flatscreen, großer Zahl von TV-Kanälen, Apple TV etc.

- weiteres Wohnzimmer mit TV und DVD für ein eventuelles Alternativprogramm zu Spielen, Schwimmen, Billiardtisch und Tischtennisplatte

- Kleine Auswahl von Gesellschaftsspielen, Literatur, DVDs und CDs ist auch vorhanden

- Garten und Pool: gepflegter Garten mit Sonnenliegen, Loungemöbel in einer schattigen Pergola, beheizter Pool, der hinreichend groß ist.


Sehr guter Zustand, sauber & gepflegt, tw. nagelneues Equipment, man hat den Eindruck, bei guten Bekannten zu Gast zu sein; Hausverwalterin Amandine vor Ort sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit


gut ausgebaute Straßen führen rasch zu vielen Highlights Südfrankreichs (Pont Du Gard, Nimes, Avignon, etc. etc.)


Die Deckenhöhen im OG mit den Schlafzimmern sind tw. niedrig - das hat man aber schnell raus :-)


Das Haus ist mindestens so gut wie es auf den Fotos schon erscheint und bringt alles mit was man für einen guten Urlaub braucht, Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin sehr gut.

Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder hinfahren und können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

The Uzes region is the ideal starting point to discover the Provence. From the green Cevennes National Park up north, The city of Avignon, Montpellier & Nimes all less than 1 hour away. To the touristic Luberon east and the South coast with places like the camargue and st-Marie de la Mer all within 1 hour drive. Not to forget the charming medieval city Uzes. host to one of the most colorful Saturday markets in the south of France; site of the source for the water that flowed through the Pont du Gard on its way to Nîmes in Roman times; a cathedral boasting a beautiful organ on the inside and an Italianate fenestrelle tower on the outside; a region full of beautiful villages and all sorts of goodies for food and wine lovers; annual festivals of dance, music, pottery, truffles, gardening, and antiques; the arcade-lined Place aux Herbes, where the weekly market takes place, and where you can sit outside for a tasty lunch or a drink on a sunny day.
