Mas Malou offers more than 4300 Sq. ft of living space and a 100% private walled garden of 6500 Sq. ft with a heated secure swimming pool and is located just 1o min away from Uzes.

The old Farm house has the ideal setup when traveling with kids or 2 families as the house offers 2 separate staircases to the bedroom floors. Both upstairs sections have 2 spacious double bedrooms with an on suite bathroom and one on-suite shower room. Mas Malou is more than fully equipped; 3 outdoor covered terraces, one with a lounge seating area, 2 BBQ sets (gas & Oklahoma BBQ), Ground floor playroom with Ping-Pong table, Out-door fat-Boys, upstairs another playroom with Pool table and lounge area, small cozy salon with fire place, Diner area with fire place and a large open fully equiped kitchen. (La Cornue Stove, Microwave, American fridge, Steam oven, dishwasher, etc). On the ground floor you can find a spacious laundry room with a washing machine and dryer.

Security gates are installed for the swimming pool and the 1st floor terrace for people traveling with small children. Baby-cott and high-chair are available as well.

In the 2 out of the 4 double bedrooms the beds can be separated into single beds setup. In short, if you are looking for a modern decorated old farmhouse with lots of living space, Mas Malou is the location.

About Karen Verheyden

We are the Regnier family living in Belgium with our 2 kids, Maxime, 10 and Louise, 15 years old. My husband is a real Frenchy and I'm Belgian, natively speaking Flemish.

We both run a busy life working in ICT and have a love for the nice things in life like traveling, gastronomy, art and spending time with friends.

Why Karen Verheyden chose La Bruguière

When we visited Uzes in 2003 we instantly fell in love with the city and the Gard area. As it is just a bit less touristic than the Luberon we found that it is vibrant all year round as maybe one day we might just move there permanently.

The challenge was then to find the right house so we started our long search. During 2 years we visited more than 60 properties. After so many unfruitful screenings we kind of gave up of finding our dream house until... the time we traveled to Uzes only to enjoy a nice vacation just after our youngest son was born. Disappointed by our previous visits we agreed not to spend our vacation seeing more houses. When we ran into the lady of the agency by accident she informed us that there was a house we definitely should visit and that it had not been put publicly on sale yet. And so we did accept her request... The moment we entered the door onto the garden of Mas Malou we we fell in love with the house and put in an offer the day after. Still today we believe we were very lucky to find our little heaven in France and if we hadn't traveled that time to Uzes after my son was born we'd probably still be looking around. And so the name of our House became Mas Malou. Mas means old Farmhouse, as it is actually an old silk farm and Malou comes from the names of our 2 children. Maxime & Louise.

Every year we spend a few weeks at Mas Malou and we are happy to share this great place with other people so that they as well can discover this beautiful part of France.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We love Mas Malou for

- Beautiful private walled garden & swimming pool. No view-ins from neighbors but still on the town square of a very small village. (600 inhabitants)

-Only 10 minutes away from the center of Uzes.

-Very spacious with a clean layout but still cozy even just when occupying with 2 people.

-Just the right level of old elements with a mix of contemporary & provencal styles.

-Quiet village but not isolated

-3 Terraces, one on next to the kitchen on the 1st floor offering a nice view over the village and 2 private terraces in the garden.

Beautifully equipped and appointed property.

The property lived up to its billing - lovely walled garden and pool, and very well equipped. You are spoilt for choice with entertainment and there is too much for just one week. You could easily not leave the property (except for food) and still have a fantastic holiday.

One of the most beautiful and well kept properties we have ever stayed in!

Lovely vacation spent in quiet town close to all the sites in Provence! Truly a paradise on earth for those needing a break from the fast pace of the modern world and quality time with family. Nice pool, games, large rooms, fully stocked kitchen, and lavender field close by. Don't miss visit to Uzes and Lussan which are lovely towns close to the house! Thank you, Karen!

A beautiful property very well appointed and equipped.

This property is situated on an elevated site and the second floor terrace affords fabulous views while dining or just relaxing with a coffee. It is located 12 km outside the beautiful village of Uzes.

The house is large and superbly well equipped with high end goods catering for all exacting needs. It was spotless and the layout was perfect for a large family or two families of four.

The outdoor facilities were also very high end and presented as such. The pool was warm and clean. These facilities included table tennis, a pool table, badminton, board games, etc which kept our children happily entertained at all times.

The garden area is very private and not overlooked. It can be illuminated at night time with subtle outdoor lighting creating a fabulous atmosphere.

Good food and wine is in abundance locally.

Karen Verheyden is the owner and a superb lady to deal with, she responds quickly and is incredibly helpful.

The location is perfect for touring the very many places of interest.

Would I go back? Yes, and thank you Karen.

Wonderful stay at Mas Malou!

We had a family get-together here for two weeks in April and had a great time. The house is very spacious with lots of room to spread out, the garden and pool are very nice and private given the location along the road, the high way makes you feel like you're in your own paradise! Kitchen was wonderful - all equipment that we might need for a family of cooks! Would definitely stay again if we return to this area. Proximity to the nice town of Uzes was also a plus.

very nice vacation

We enjoyed the well equipped house with its nice garden and pool. There is so much space and many bathrooms. We liked that a lot. The village is small and quiet, we slept perfectly! A very good place to relax and calm down.

The Uzes region is the ideal starting point to discover the Provence. From the green Cevennes National Park up north, The city of Avignon, Montpellier & Nimes all less than 1 hour away. To the touristic Luberon east and the South coast with places like the camargue and st-Marie de la Mer all within 1 hour drive.
