Beautifully appointed and maintained, large 5,000 square foot elegant home in Oahu's most prestigious neighborhood. Open floor plan, beautiful Koa wood floors, large upstairs deck with oceanviews for sunbathing and entertaining. Private swimming pool and outdoor dining areas. This lovely home offers privacy with 3 floors of living space and 4 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms. A short 1 block walk to the ocean (Cromwells beach) and about 1.5 miles to Waikiki Beach. Walk to Diamond Head Park, hike Diamond Head Mountain and walk to biweekly Farmers Markets with local vendors. Secluded swimming pool is adjacent to lovely outdoor dining and entertaining area with gas grill and outdoor kitchen. Bikes available for riding into Waikiki or to the Kahala Hotel, both less than 2 miles away. Villa features 2 entertaining decks, one off the Master bedroom with Ocean views and views of Diamond Head that is perfect for sunbathing or to watch the sunset, and the other off the main floor that is perfect for alfresco breakfast or for a comfortable reading area. Amenities include designer cotton robes in each bathroom, organic cotton linens, stocked kitchen for entertaining, beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beach towels, 2 bicycles and a welcome basket of local fruit, gourmet foods and fresh tropical flowers. Upon arrival, our local house manager will meet you to welcome you. She is available throughout your stay for any questions or needs to ensure that you have a wonderful stay.

Amazing in every way!!!

The home is in a beautiful neighborhood and has breathtaking views. From the moment you walk in, you feel like your in a seven star hotel. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. I loved that they provided shampoo, conditioner and soap in all showers. I was able to do laundry in the full size appliances and that was a must after a day at the beach. They provided plenty of beach chairs, towels and boogie boards. The location is perfect. Diamond Head is a few minutes away, as is Waikiki. We used uber to get around when we didn't want to use our rental car. The air conditioning was a must for me and it kept us cool the entire trip. The swimming pool and BBQ came in very handy and we used them both often. The beach is in walking distance, but not much sand, so we would drive into Waikiki. You are 20 minutes to Pearl Harbor, the airport or the bay for great snorkeling. North Shore was a little over an hour to get to and an easy drive. Any water sport you can think of is a short drive from the home. The shopping in Waikiki is amazing and a five minute drive. We would definitely stay in Karen's place again. I had five teanagers and two adults and we had plenty of room to spread out. Thank you for sharing your beautiful oasis with us.

Luxurious house near Waikiki

Our group of seven family members spent the month of December at Karen's Kahala mansion. We were all in awe of its grandness. The outlook from the living room was lush and green - you certainly knew you were in Hawaii! Each bedroom was connected to an elaborate bathroom, one even had an ocean view. The house came well equipped with every imaginable kitchen item as well as towels (including beach towels) and beach gear (boards, chairs, floats). We did not use the parking space allotted for guests in the garage, but chose to park on the street, where there was ample parking. The house is situated 5 minutes to Waikiki by car or a 40 minute walk along the Diamond Head road from which you can watch surfers at all times of the day. It was always nice to return to the residential neighbourhood of Kahala, where the house is located. We spent most of our time in the beautiful living room - dining area, which, unusually, did not have a TV. We spent a lot more time interacting with one another as a result. And for those who wanted to watch TV, there was one in the rec room on the bottom level. The onsite team of property managers weas exceptionally responsive to our needs.We should of asked how to turn off the AC altogether as it consumed a lot of electricity even though it was set in the 70s.Two things to note were that the kitchen doors were loud and could be heard throughout the house and that the pool, at that time of year, was mostly in the shade of the beautiful garden trees. Because the water was cold, and it was an unusually cold December, we did not use it. Living in this mansion though was without hesitation a five-star experience!

Spectacular Vacation Home to Celebrate a Lifetime of Love

As the younger sibling I was tasked with finding a home to celebrate my parents' once-in-a-lifetime Golden (50th) Wedding Anniversary. The home would need to be spectacular but also very comfortable to accommodate two mid-70 year olds (my folks), my single sister and me, my husband and three children (ages 9-15). Well this property fit the bill and then some. I have never booked a home this way and was quite skeptical that the home and the process would not disappoint. There was no need to worry. Everything worked out beautifully and seamlessly. It is clear that an architect built this home as every detail is considered to maximize comfort, relaxation and serenity. The back views from the house are breathtaking. The various patios and decks allowed us to take many meals outside while the kids played in the pool. We greeted our parents with love songs played throughout the home using their in-home sound system. We road bikes, cooked family-style meals, played games and just really enjoyed each other's company. And when it was time to retire for the night, we could do so easily without disrupting the fun still going on in other parts of the house. Oh, and the property is so well located that we could get to Waikiki Beach in minutes as well as several museums, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and good shopping in no time. Kudos to Karen and her team for delivering a home beyond our expectations! We will always treasure the time spent with 3 generations celebrating a love that has stood the test of time. Mahalo!

My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here and brought our extended family to celebrate.

We were worried about bringing the smallest of items because we were afraid nothing would be available in the house for us to use during our stay. We were wrong.

Bottle-opener for wine, check...utensils for cooking out, check...olive oil, pans and basic spices for cooking, check. Floats for the pool, check.

You get the idea...Just about everything you need to enjoy your stay was in the house for your use. The manager of the property (Eva) was extremely responsive and helped insure we had a great stay. The house is minutes from Diamond Head Park and just far enough from downtown Honolulu to avoid the traffic and bustle. A great place to get-away, and we'd highly recommend the house.
