Tatiara is an aboriginal word meaning beautiful country. This spacious property, with its orchard and gardens, in-ground heated pool, and large spa, set in the idyllic surrounds of Kangaroo Valley, provides a relaxed life-style getaway for family and friends.

Tatiara is located just a short drive from Kangaroo Valley village. The property has plenty of room for a large family, or two or three smaller families. With four attractively furnished bedrooms with full linen service upstairs, and a large, similarly appointed self-contained flat downstairs, Tatiara can comfortably accommodate up to 14 guests. (Tatiara has 2 rates - Main house up to 10 guests or both main house & flat for 14 guests). There are 2 kitchens, both the upstairs and downstairs kitchens are generously equipped with an ample supply of crockery, cutlery, cookware, and appliances.

Tatiaras ample living space includes a large lounge room upstairs and another downstairs, both with large flat-screen TVs, DVD, and comfortable lounges; allowing for separate entertainment spaces. Upstairs, the large open-plan kitchen, dining, and sitting area, complete with a slow combustion wood fire, leads out to the large, child-secure verandah. The verandah provides a furnished outdoor living area overlooking the pool, spa, and BBQ area; with expansive views across bush and farmland to the escarpment.

With ducted reverse cycle air conditioning and slow combustion wood heater indoors; and large 6-burner hooded BBQ, heated pool, spa, and large furnished entertainment area outdoors, you are assured of a comfortable stay at any time of the year.

Guests are also welcome to enjoy the gardens and orchard, and the large lawn areas in the front and back yards.

This property is approximately 1.5 km from the centre of the Village; an easy stroll to the cafes, bakeries, arts and crafts shops, and markets. The Kangaroo River is just half a kilometer away, and is a popular spot for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. The area is well-known for bush-walking, bird-watching, bike trails, fishing, and horse-riding. The Kangaroo Valley golf course, known as one of the most enjoyable and beautiful golf courses in the southern highlands, is close by.

PLEASE NOTE TATIARA HAS 2 TARIFF RATES DEPENDING ON YOUR GUEST NUMBERS - UP TO 10 GUESTS - MAIN HOUSE ONLY AND 11-14 GUESTS - MAIN HOUSE & FLAT. You can take the flat as well as the main house if you have under 10 guests for more space but extra rate for the flat will apply - If you take the main house only then no one else will be in the flat during your stay.

The Fine Print

This property offers 2 different rates depending on the season - there is non peak season for the months of May to August and a peak season for the months of September to April.
