Florida House Rental Photos and Description

3br/2ba home with expansive and serene waterview

House, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 living areas, screened in pool area, screened in porch, garage, 2066 sq ft under air, 280 feet of waterfront. Enjoy the peaceful, serene setting offered by this lovely home overlooking the Peace River, voted for eight years the most scenic river in Florida. This home sits on a half acre of waterfront, creating a beautiful and private getaway. Soak up the tranquil surroundings while lounging in the screened in pool area or relaxing inside. The sunset views are breath taking regardless of your vantage point. The open house plan offers expansive water views from most every room.

The full kitchen has all the appliances needed to create the best of home cooked meals or if you prefer, cook up some steaks on the gas grill by the pool while watching for dolphins, manatees, and even an occasional shark. Prefer to eat out? There are quaint restaurants as well as other attractions in nearby Fisherman’s Village in Punta Gorda. If you are bringing your toys, there is plenty of space on the spacious lot to park your boat or RV. Whether you are a fan of fishing, skiing, boating, kayaking, fossil hunting, or bird watching, Peace River will fit the bill. You can fish from the 280 feet of banks surrounding the house. There is both a community fishing pier and a public pier nearby as well as a public boat launch. Bringing young children? There are neighborhood parks close by.

Our home is just 3 miles off of I-75 and 4 miles from Walmart and other shopping centers. It is extremely convenient to just jump on I-75 and go anywhere in Florida from the theme parks of Orlando or the Florida keys. Disney, SeaWorld and Universal are only 2 1/2 hours away, and it’s just 15 minutes to miniature golf as well as several outstanding golf courses. Fisherman's Wharf, a complex of shops and restaurants overlooking Charlotte Harbor, is nearby. Sanabel Island ,Venice, Boca Grande Beach or Manasota Key beaches are just a short drive away where shelling and sharks teeth are plentiful. Boat rentals or charters are available nearby for deep sea fishing, and Arcadia (just 30 min. north) has great antique shops in the downtown area. There is a host of fun activities in the Punta Gorda area.

With beautiful beaches, golf courses, shopping malls, and wonderful restaurants all nearby, you are destined to have a perfect vacation or, even better, a long term retreat.

We accept checks and PayPal. You can pay with credit card via PayPal also.

About Jacquelyn Imhoff

We purchased our Peace a River place near our daughter and grandchildren. Our plans were to retire to our lovely waterfront place but our daughter moved a bit further north. We decided to live closer to her. We then chose to share our waterfront paradise with travelers looking for a beautiful location where they could find peace and relaxation so ENJOY!

Why Jacquelyn Imhoff chose Florida

This property had such a gorgeous view that we fell in love with it at first site. It is the perfect place to relax, kayak in the mangroves, fish off our banks, swim in our pool, or boat to downtown Punta Gorda. You will reluctantly leave yet feel totally refreshed and ready to return to work.

What makes this house unique

We purchased this home because of its beautiful serene setting, spacious open floor plan with expansive water views, lovely pool area overlooking the river, and its total privacy. Because the water is brackish, you can watch fresh and salt water marine life depending on the tides, including dolphins and manatees right from the house or pool area. The home feels like it is on a private island, yet it is so convenient to everything!

This House Just Envelopes You!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed a week with my pet dachshund. I knew I was going to like the house judging from the pictures, but the pictures don't do it justice until you go in the house. It was immaculate, well stocked, the pool was great, and I had a nice time just enjoying the house. Accommodations are important to me, and I loved the house so much I stayed one more day. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, shopping, and of course, Fisherman's Village. Do yourself a favor and rent the place. Jackie and Bob were available if I had questions.

Peace River home was exactly what it promised!

  • 5 of 5

This home offered us the perfect place to relax, fish, and explore the region. We found it to be perfectly located for kayaking, fishing, and meeting great local people at the local pubs and hangouts. We had to extend our stay one extra day just because we didn't want to leave!! We plan to book this home again for next years trip to Florida!!

Homeowner, Jackie was great in responding to inquiries and just made the experience very pleasant.

Best Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

There is not much I can say that would begin to describe how perfect this home was that others haven't already said. I traveled from upstate NY with my brother, his wife, and their two boys ages 16 and 12. Our 21 hour drive turned into 27.5 hours because of many traffic accidents on the way down that led to us sitting on highways for hours. We drove straight through. Everyone should have been cranky and miserable, but when we stepped into this home, no one could wipe the smiles off their faces.

The home was immaculate. The views were absolutely breathtaking. It was so incredibly peaceful and quiet. I always make itineraries for vacations, just fun things for us to see and do. Well, this is the first vacation where we had to force ourselves to go sightseeing. No one wanted to leave the house, and you don't need to!

My sister lives in North Port with her fiance and their blended family of four children. The house accommodated 11 of us quite comfortably for the two evenings they came to see us. I cooked a dinner for everyone very easily with the well equipped kitchen. They didn't want to leave the home either!

When we did force ourselves to leave the house we enjoyed the area immensely. Peace River Seafood was delicious!! The staff was so friendly and funny and nothing will ever compare to the experience. Fisherman's Village was so much fun. We bought souvenirs for everyone and enjoyed a sunset cruise from King Fisher Fleet. Highly recommend them! We enjoyed Englewood beach and Venice. Took the kids to Sun Splash Water Park in Cape Coral and they had a blast while the adults enjoyed the lazy river.

This home made this vacation simply the best. We were so sad to leave, but we left with wonderful memories. Thank you Jacquelyn and Bob for sharing this paradise with others. We cannot stress to you enough how thankful and happy we all are. Book this home! You won't be sorry.

Amazing family vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

I traveled from Pennsylvania to Punta Gorda Florida with my boyfriend, son and grandson to visit my niece and her family and was so happy that I found this home away from home. The pictures just do not begin to show just how amazing this home is and how we just felt like we were home as soon as we stepped inside. My younger sister and her fiancé came down a day later and they didn't want to leave just like us. We could not thank Bob and Jacquelyn more for sharing their amazing home with us and making it feel like home. The scenery was just so relaxing that we chose to spend most of our vacation right there at the home. We spent a lot of time fishing off the sea wall, swimming and relaxing by the pool and cooking out with family. I was not fortunate enough to see a manatee but we did however see alligators and armadillos.

If you are looking for the perfect vacation spot I strongly recommend this home.

Thank you again Bob and Jacquelyn!!!!

Most relaxing vacation

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent 8 nights in this beautiful home on Peace River. We wanted to visit Punta Gorda to check it out as a possible retirement destination. We were also in need of a relaxing place for vacation and to celebrate our 27th anniversary. I had looked at a lot of different homes on VRBO and I could not have made a better choice. The views from the home are spectacular. My husband loves to fish and really enjoyed being able to walk outside whenever he wanted to and fish right from the yard. I loved having my morning coffee out by the pool and a glass of wine in the same spot in the evening! We felt "tucked away" in a quiet community but were close enough to everything we needed. Our best meal by far was at Peace River Seafood but don't expect anything fancy - it is a good old fashioned crab shack. We went to Venice Beach which was absolutely breathtaking! The house provided everything we needed and more. We ate most of our breakfast and dinners in the house and felt perfectly at home. Cant wait to visit again. Thank you Jackie and Bob.

Very Impressed

  • 5 of 5

I was impressed with the listing, but when I actually arrived it far exceeded even those expectations. The very first morning there, we watched two mantees in the canal right beside the house. They were close enough to almost touch. Then later that day, fishing off the seawall, I hooked the largest snook I have ever seen. Unfortunately he broke my line just 2 feet from shore. We also caught a variety of fish from the seawall, including mangrove snapper, catfish, jacks, etc. The house was close to everything. I would highly recommend this house to anyone who loves the water.
