This is a very nice log home with everything you need and very nicely furnished too. I grew up in Sterling Heights MI but moved to Bellaire Michigan in 1998 and absolutely love it here! I love this log home and would live in it but I am now living with my 87 yr old father and caring for him. I am looking for people who can enjoy and care for my home and help cover my costs while I can not.
Sandra Tuttle purchased this cabin in 2012
I bought this place because I always wanted a log home with knotty pine interior and this one had everything I could need with no repairs needed. It is like brand new and modern but cozy.
I have always wanted a log cabin and this one was just too cute to pass up. I love the loft and knotty pine interior. The gas fireplace is so nice on a cool evening or winter night. And with all of the modern appliances, you are never in need of anything.
We had a wonderful time at the Cabin Home. The pictures and description posted are completely accurate. It was spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities we wanted for a vacation home. We loved it and really enjoyed our stay in Bellaire and the surrounding areas of Michigan.
Sandy provided excellent service. We had a bit of a confusion on the address and when I called her, she quickly assisted us to the correct location. Sandy wanted to be sure our stay was free of any problems and we have NO complaints.
We were very pleased with our decision and wish we could have stayed longer.
We did day trips to Mackinaw Island, Elk Rapids, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dune Park, Leland and Petosky. We made sure to eat at Short's Brewery after reading all the other recommendations and it was outstanding. The location of the cabin in relation to grocery stores, gas stations, etc. was perfect. We were away from the hustle and bustle of city noise but just 10-15 minutes to the nearest city.
Thank you for sharing your home with us Sandy! We loved it!!
Sandy was very nice to deal with and her place was very nice!
The cabin was impeccably clean and cozy warm upon our arrival. Each bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping in each day of our stay. The cabin is very close to Shanty Creek where we skied and tubed. I also recommend taking a trip in to Short's Brewery during your stay.
Great cabin. We slept 6 comfortably - you could fit 8 in a pinch. It's just outside the entrance to Schuss Village in the woods. It has everything you need.
While we were there, a wind storm took out the power across the whole area. Sandy came by on short notice with flashlights, water, candles, and extra propane for the grill. We had a true candle-light Christmas Eve! The gas fireplace kept it about 60 deg. inside. (It was 40 outside).
Beautiful place to stay to view fall colours and close to great hiking trails. Pinney Bridge Trail (Jordan River Valley), Bayview Trail (at Sleeping Bear Dunes) and Grass River provided a nice mix of landscape to enjoy while hiking. Cabin is well maintained and had all the comforts of home. Loved it!
We spent a couple of wonderful days at this cabin. Easy and quick access to Torch lake where we spent a our days on the lake. The cabin itself is clean, cozy, and comfortable. Just enough room for our group of 6! The lot is quiet, wooded, and has a nice fire pit. Sandy was very easy to work with, I would highly recommend this cabin!
This is a secluded log cabin home nestled in the woods yet 15 minutes or less travel to Golfing, Fishing, Boating, Skiing, Snowmobiling, Schuss Mountain Resort, Shanty Creek Resort, Cedar River Village, Hawks Eye, Chief Golf Course, Lake Bellaire, Intermediate Lake, Torch Lake, Chain of Lakes ...lets just say it is close to everything you might want to do! And a couple of casinos within 45 min. drive too. Just 8 Minutes from the beautiful town of Bellaire that has lots to offer. Lots of great restaurants and shops and downtown strolling. Check out the Bellaire Chamber of Commerce website to see what our great town has to offer. If you love BBQ ribs then check out Toonies, they are awesome! If you like elegant dinning then go to Lulu's Bistro. Mokas is a great coffee house and has a great selection of wines. Or for some good home cooking for breakfast or lunch then go to Mrs Petes. Traverse City, Petosky and Charlevoix are less than 1 hour away. For a nice fall tour go to Traverse City on the peninsula for a wine tasting tour. You will love it up here and have a great place to rest after your fun filled day.
