"Lovely place, host and area" 5/5 stars Published 14 Apr 2019 Benedicte C. We are just back from a 5 days stay there and had a great time and would surely recommend. The house is lovely and comfortable, and equipped with all needed. The pool is very nice with an awesome view of the country side around. Daniele has been a lovely and attentive host. The location of the house is great, easy to go in day trip to Pisa, Florence, etc. And also provides quietness and privacy. Would definetely stay there again. "Fantastic week end!!" 5/5 Stars Published 7 Mar 2017 Carlo d. This is beautiful, spacious, well maintained old farmhouse with fantastic views over Corsagna ( the small village ) and the Serchio's river valley. The singing of birds and the rustle of the trees will accompany you during the days.Ideal place if you are going to take a break away from all. The restaurant in the village is great with typical dishes. Top price. Thanks Daniel for everything especially for the top breakfast offered the day after our arrival :)) Cornetti were super!!!!

Quiet family holiday
Overall we had a great week. The house looks over the wooded hills of Tuscany and the views are wonderful - found a lovely shady spot for morning yoga with a view! The house itself is full of character if a little quirky, arranged as two self-contained apartments (we only used one as a family of 4) while the main cooking and social areas are downstairs on the ground floor, accessible from the exterior.
The local supermarket has everything you need, and we stayed fairly local with great day trips to Lucca, Barga, Pisa and Corfino.
We did appreciate the pool on hot, sunny afternoons (although I think a larger group would find the pool area rather small).
We all got bitten so bring lots of insect repellent during summer months!
A few small additions would really benefit future guests:
- a corkscrew is an essential item for many holidaymakers in this part of the world!
- need to replace the kettle and fix the ignition on the cooker, or provide a lighter (we left some behind for the next guests)
- we would have expected extra towels to use by the pool, especially with the 40 Eur surcharge
- a decent barbecue or outside cooking area would be a great addition

Wonderful home base for our Italy trip
I visited with a group of 4 couples in March 2016. We really appreciated that each floor had its own kitchen areas, but really enjoyed the common area downstairs. The beds/showers were all quite adequate and the area was clean and ready to go.
One small issue, which likely will have been corrected, was that one of the couches in the common area was broken so that the back kept falling off making it unusable.
The views here were amazing, even though we were present before the spring really came into bloom. We did not get to use the pool because of the time of year, but it looked like it would have been great.
The wifi worked fine, but is located on the top floor and sometimes doesn't reach the bottom floor...it would be a good idea to move the wifi router to the middle floor if possible.
In addition to the great views and history, it was cool to stay in the quaint little town of Corsagna. It was also a great location as we were able to visit Pisa, Lucca, Montecantini, Florence and Rome from this location (although Rome was a long day because of the drive to/from).
We would definitely stay here again as we enjoyed it tremendously and the price was great.
We stayed at the house for two weeks during the second half of June 2015. The house is as described. We were a group of six adults and two children. The house fit as perfectly. Two of our couples stayed in the top level of the house, which had two bedrooms, full bath and a kitchen. The family with kids stayed on the second level that also had two bedrooms, bath and kitchen. The lower level is a huge hall where we could all have dinners together and just hang out. There is a kitchen and bath on that level, as well. All levels have separate entrances so you could have your privacy when needed.
The property provides utmost privacy as it sits on a hill with no neighbours around. The views of the mountains are beyond phenomenal. We were also lucky to see a firefly show every night in our garden.
There is a bit of drive up the hill (winding) but you’ll get used to it plus without that drive you wouldn’t get the amazing views and the air must be unique there as we all slept like babies.
The location is great for nice day trips. We did Pisa, Marina Di Vecchiano (beach), Florence, Lucca, Barga, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, San Miniato (truffles), Montacatini Terme and Montecatini Alti, Bagni Di Lucca and Grotta del Vento. All within a short driving distance and well worth a visit.
We had two dinners at the house (outdoor) made by our hosts Daniele and Diana. One was with meat and the other with seafood. They are so worth a try. We still look at the pictures and can taste the food. They are really great chefs and we have amazing memories from those nights.
Now for our host Daniele. He was always available. Met us in Lucca just off the highway and guided us to the house. Thank you so much Daniele and Diana. It was a pleasure meeting you and spending some time with you during our dinners.
Lovely scenery in between the mountains
I was in Daniele's house, located in Corsagna, Borgo a Mozzano, Lucca, last summer with my family and with some friends of us. The idea was staying for 1 week, but in the end we stayed 2 weeks because we all liked the place: lovely scenery in between the montains, easy to reach and not far from the main town, Lucca (30 minutes maximum). The house is really confortable, very typical, built in local stone and wood, with a nice swimming pool where our children could safely swim and play all around, without us getting so stressed about.
Daniele and his crew are really nice people, they really cared about our staying showing us all their availability.
Twice we asked them to cook something local and typical for us and both dinner were really delicious.
I really hope to be able to take my family again soon and I'd suggest to everyone to spend some days over there, with family or with friends.
Nothing less than amazing
We had the pleasure of spending one week at the house this summer, which was a fantastic opportunity to experience toscany. The house more than met out expectations, and Daniele was a terrific host - easy to stay in touch with and helpful will our questions. We have already recommended this place to friends!
