3 double bedroom villa in stunning rural location, 40 mins from central Varna

The Rustic Bulgarian Villa is set in the rural village of PetrovDol. A unique landscape overlooking canyons, valleys & sunflower fields. This idyllic setting is only 35 minutes from Varna Airport & 40 minutes from Varna.

Remaining largely untouched by the 21st century, shepherds tend their flocks & many locals still travel by donkey & cart. Rustic Bulgaria offers all the conveniences of modern life to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is a fully equipped modern fitted kitchen and each of the 3 double bedrooms affords either an en suite bathroom or an en suite shower room with wash basin & WC. Within the grounds there is a 12 X 4m swimming pool and plenty of room for relaxation under the grape vines which can produce 100 ltrs. of wine per year. There is a basic shop & two bars in the village of PetrovDol. For meals out, a supermarket, cash point or day trip to the ancient hill top fortress of Ovech, a 5 min trip to the nearby town of Provadia is highly recommended. The beaches of Varna and Kamchia are only 40 minutes away by car.

Why Joel House chose Bulgaria

Hi, I bought this property in 2007 because of it's rustic charm and character. It's hard to believe that one can be in such a beautiful and different setting, just 3 hrs. from the UK. I've holidayed here in Petrovdol, with my family every year since I bought the property and still love it dearly. Over the years we've come to know and love the locals and Bulgaria for it's unique charm and beauty.

What makes this villa unique

It's great having our Property Managers, Anne and Stoyan a couple of minutes up the lane in Petrovdol as they are living here full time and so are able to answer any queries about the house or provide information on the area and local amenities. Children absolutely love it here, as well as tortoises living within the property, as soon as they step out the front gate there are geese, chickens, turkeys, goats and donkeys, to name but a few of the animals kept in and around the local smallholdings nearby. There is also an abundance of natural wildlife including Golden Eagles and Storks. The swimming pool too is great and means that one really need not leave the property for something to do, especially when it's hot. Installing it has completely transformed the dynamics of this property. It's important to mention too that the property is walled, all the way round so if you have children they can wander and explore freely, without being able to wander off.

Beautiful house and garden. All very clean. Nice and clean swimmingpool. Car can be parked on the grounds. Kitchen provides all the things you need. In Provadiya there is a very good Liddl for your shoppings. Varna, which we loved, is just within half an hour drive.

The only thing we can think of that can be better are the matrasses. Real Bulgarian beds....we are used to a bit softer matrasses. But.....that is the only thing we can think of. Real good property to spend your holiday!

Rustic Blgarian getaway

If your looking for a rural retreat to get away from it all then look no further, very high standard living accomodation, lovely pool and loads of countryside on your doorstep to explore. Ideal place for families who want to "re connect" with each other and just spend some quality time. Varna lovely too.

Perfect holiday at Rustic Bulgarian Villa

On a visit to Bulgaria from New Zealand I found the Rustic Villa the perfect holiday location, The quiet rural setting is conveniently close to Pravadia's shops and restaurants and is an easy 40 minute drive into Varna - a delightfully vibrant city offering many interesting and enjoyable attractions to explore.

The villa's surroundings and first-class facilities provided a relaxing comfortable holiday which far exceeded my expectations. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending the Villa for a special holiday experience in Bulgaria.

Bulgarian Holiday

Wonderful holiday with my sister, visiting from New Zeland. The villa was perfect for our needs and enjoyment, containing as it does every modern convenience, as well as a beautiful pool for swimming and lounging in the warmth of the Bulgarian sunshine. Pravadia is the nearest town ten minutes away by car and offers shops and restaurants and ancient hilltop fortress site. Varna is the nearest city being situated forty minutes away by car and offers a fabulous beach and first class shops, a beautiful cathedral and museum. I highly recommend the villa for family holiday use.
