Admire the countryside while you soak in your own hot tub. Plenty of car parking. All linen, towels, gas and electricity included. Wood burner in 3 of our properties. Wifi available in all properties. Private hot tub with each property.

Shared heated outdoor pool, seasonal open May to September.

We ask that there should be no loud noise be it from voices or music outside after 10pm, so as not to disturb other residents who wish to be quiet. If you are using the hot tub, be aware that noise travels in the still of the night, so please respect other guests who are here for a peaceful break away from it all!

This is not a party site, it is for persons wishing to enjoy the stillness and beauty of the countryside.

About Caroline Ladd

Tor Farm is owned and managed by Brian and Caroline, both Somerset born and bred, who met when they were 16 and are still together after 41 years of marriage. Caroline concentrates mainly on the marketing and admin along with some cleaning and Brian maintains all the gardens, hot tubs, swimming pool and is the general handyman along with our son Ben, who deals with all the technically difficult things.

Tor Farm was originally a Dairy, Beef and Sheep farm, situated down a very quiet, peaceful country lane, with fantastic open views of the surrounding countryside, but owing to the economic climate we had to find another form of income as well as farming, so we started offering B & B in the main farm house in 1978 and continued to do so for 24years. This,as well as our farming has now ceased and we have diversified into offering 5 holiday properties for rental.

The most important thing in our lives are our family comprising of 1 Daughter and three Sons, all raised on the farm, who have now fled the nest and have produced 7 Grandchildren and still counting…….all of which live within one hour of Tor Farm, so will still enjoy close knit family ties.

Our hobbies are gardening, caravanning, walking, travelling, quilting and playing Bridge.

Although not a working farm any more we still have a few rare breed sheep, and we have converted the main house into a large holiday cottage, and where the farm yard once was has been landscaped into a fruit orchard and four luxury Eco log cabins erected, which we had architecturally designed, and were built by our Son Ben, and Son-in-Law Mathew, plus a few extra helpers, including ourselves.

We still live on site, so if there are every any problems we can sort them out immediately.

Our aim has always been to offer the highest quality, clean accommodation that we ourselves would feel comfortable to stay in and hopefully this is what we have achieved
