Spectacular in every way!
Felt so lucky to stay at this paradise on a cliff. We enjoyed every minute there and the staff is fantastic. Our 8yo even got to play with a girl his age named Bianca; he’d wait for her to get out of school just to play hide in seek, even though they spoke different languages. Truly good vibes and beyond beautiful.
Words cannot express our experience except absolutely spectacular and will cherish the memories forever.
The staff were so hospitable and lovely
Amazing experience !
There really are no words to describe this wonderful place. We stayed at Villa Palapa at El Paraiso for 2 weeks and were amazed every day at how lucky we were...morning coffee in a hammock over looking the Pacific Ocean, watching whales, birds and the local fishermen. Accommodation was so comfortable and well laid out for privacy. We were 4 friends, experienced travellers looking for some quiet time in new areas of Mexico. We were so well looked after everyday by Angela, Nino, Mario and the staff...Angela always had time for us, with recommendations of beaches, snorkeling spots, restaurants and community tips. El Paraiso is a very private location in an area with an array of small towns and beaches to discover- a short cab ride to Zipolite, San Augustinillo and Mazunte, or walk (hills!) to Playa Panteon. We were happy just to chill in our palace on the ocean, with the occasional adventure out in the world. Edgar and Hugo are wonderful hosts, we were happy to meet them as well. The entire experience from booking, travel information to our visit was professionally and helpfully handled. We are very much looking forward to our next stay...and are just happy to know we have El Paraiso and it’s wonderful staff to visit with again. Thank you for welcoming us !
Incredible views. Beautiful house. Wonderful support staff.
The property is even better than the photos. Specifically, we were concerned that the deck around the pool might be too narrow, but it is generous and comfortable for a group of six to socialize around the pool. Additionally, the pool is completely private - so naked swimming and sun bathing was a breeze. Angela, Lino and the rest of the support staff were very nice and attentive when we needed it, and were otherwise unobtrusive. Rocky (Angela’s dog) is a sweetheart and consider yourself lucky if he happens to hang out with you. We were fortunate to have him sneak over and spend an afternoon with us (he’s not supposed to hang out at the house) and he was a highlight of our stay.
Edgar was great at providing needed information prior to our arrival and very easy to deal with. The house is so wonderfully relaxing you will find yourself having to force yourself out to go to the beach.
We don’t usually repeat vacation destinations, but if we returned to Zipolite we would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Edgar!
Off the beaten path, didn't want to leave
We had a wonderful stay at Paraiso de Los Angeles! If you really want to get away from it all, take in the extraordinary and breathtaking ocean views and sounds, this is the perfect place. After almost a week in Oaxaca City exploring the city, Monte Alban, Mitla, Hierve El Agua, and the various artisan villages (for mezcal, rugs, alebrijes, black pottery, etc), my husband, two teenagers (19 and 16) and I spent five days here. We explored Zipolite, Mazunte and other nearby hidden beaches (per owner recommendations). We were unable to partake in any snorkeling or boating due to restrictions that week (too dangerous due to recent storms and high waves), but it didn't matter. We were happy just waking up in paradise every day, reading in the hammocks, making meals with the fresh produce from the local markets, and hanging on the mellow area beaches. Warning -- the roads up to Paraiso are challenging, but it is totally worth the effort. Although we had a car, you can also manage with local taxis. make sure to pick up food for cooking before going up the hill too! Thank you Edgar for sharing your lovely home!
