Lovely relaxing week. Great villa and only a short walk from the centre. Would recommend.
The villa was beautiful, spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. We were there with our daughters, son in law and 8 month baby granddaughter. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return to that property. It was approximately a 40 minute walk to the Rubicon Centre/ marina but there were a few restaurants only 10 minutes from the villa. These included an excellent Chinese called "Asia" and "Casa Joquain" where the food and service were fantastic.
We (2 adults and a 12 year old) spent a fantastic two weeks in Casa Telescopio. This was our first holiday to Lanzarote although have stayed in lots of villas previously. This has to rate right up there as one of the best villas we have ever stayed in. Everything was exactly as described on the website, and we wanted for nothing - outside and inside. The outside areas and garden were well thought out; kitchen and living areas were all really well catered for. The heated pool was a nice touch, even in July. The villa is close enough to the centre of town to be walkable (about 15 mins) but also far enough away to be quieter and avoiding the hussle-bussle of town at night time. We would recommend a car to get out and about. Noise and traffic from the nearby water-park was a slight concern before we arrived but its such a small park to have never been an issue. Would definitely recommend the villa to others.
Highly recommend this villa. The location is good and the villa contains everything you could possibly need for a family holiday. The kitchen is particularly well equipped with modern equipment and every possible cooking utensil ever needed. We cooked more than expected as a result.
We were al so pleased with the modern Apple TV, the amount of books, games and DVDs and the guidebooks of the Island.
Outside the villa is beautiful with plenty of areas to relax, read and sunbathe and its own little bar area (my husband's particular favourite being the beer fridge). There are gorgeous little artistic touches everywhere and the owner clearly had a great eye for detail, and we enjoyed finding the hidden pieces of art and craft all over the garden. A great villa with beautiful sunsets and we would return without hesitation.
We have just returned from this wonderful villa. The villa had everything you needed, for 6 people. And more things we never thought we would need! The kitchen was very well equipped. And not to small at all as someone had put in earlier review. It was spotless clean, pool was great, outside area was well thought out. The bar area was a real bonus as well as the "outside" toilet and shower.
Location was good, think perhaps in summer holidays the music from the water park may be a tad annoying.
Only observation, not complaint was it needed mosquito nets up at bedroom windows.
We would definately use this villa again.
I enjoyed a very relaxing five night stay at Casa Telescopio with my partner last month. We found the villa immaculate, clean and well-equipped, and it served as the perfect place for the two of us to unwind. Most days we lazed by the heated pool (always warm) or on the summer bed and we also took advantage of the DVD collection, and played many of the games kept there, in particular the darts and boules.
We did have a car to explore the island and did visit Cesar Manrique's house, the vineyards and Timanfaya National Park, but a car is not essential with so much on offer within Playa Blanca. You are a short walking distance from a beach and the seafront, where there are a great selection of restaurants and bars. The port is also central to Playa Blanca so it is easy to arrange a day trip to Corralejo on Fuerteventura.
I certainly recommend this villa, and I would definitely come back here. You feel relaxed as soon as you step through the front door.
Playa Blanca is the most southerly town on Lanzarote. There is a good and varied selection of restaurants along the sea front. Some have a Flamenco night which is held on Saturdays. Just 5 mins drive away is the uber trendy Marina Rubicon which also has a market on Wednesdays & Saturdays. There are many beaches here; Flamingo, the town beach, Dorada where all water sports can be found, and also the natural beaches of Papagayo. The promenade which goes the complete length of Playa Blanca is ideal for walking and to view the sea across to the next island of Fuertaventura, which you can take the fast ferry to for a great day out. For the more adventurous and keen walkers, there are many good routes all over the island, with some fantastic walks starting in the neighbouring town of Femes. Road cycling is well catered for with many cycle paths around Playa Blanca and for that off road adventure look no further than Montaña Roja, which is the mountain you view from the terrace.
