The inside of this villa is spacious, the lounge having a rich dark leather suite and satellite TV and DVD player. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom and bathroom with shower cubicle, together with a fully fitted modern kitchen. Climb the stairs to a spacious master bedroom with king size bed (memory foam mattress) and patio doors leading to a lovely south facing sheltered terrace with mountain and sea views. Another family bathroom is located upstairs next to the second twin bedroom. A safe and fans are available at the villa.
The villa has a large garden and terrace surrounding the good size, solar and electrically heated swimming pool (small additional fee), the pool has a shallow section ideal for those with younger children, the main pool has roman steps. There is also an outside Canarian style seating area along with a Canarian BBQ, ideal for those al-fresco evenings. Casa Blanca is ideal if you do not wish to hire a car as it is only a 20 minute walk to the resort centre and beach. There is a small supermarket just 3 minutes walk away.
Further information: Playa Blanca is located at the southern tip of Lanzarote, around a forty minute drive from the sole island airport at Arrecife. The resort is the newest on the island, built some time after Costa Teguise and Puerto del Carmen to the north in the 1990s. But it has rapidly emerged to become the second most popular destination on Lanzarote after the livelier Puerto del Carmen. Thanks to the fact that it enjoys a wonderful micro-climate which delivers the best weather on the island. Although Playa Blanca is a tourist town it still retains the peaceful village atmosphere and most week days in the village centre you can watch the local fishermen bring in their catch and sell it on to restaurants and the fishmonger in the port area.
The resort could perhaps be best described as comprising three bays, within one much larger bay. And at the heart of each of these bays is a delightful beach. So walking along the seafront promenade from west to east visitors first encounter Playa Dorada, the largest of the resorts golden sandy beaches. Which is backed by a decent selection of bars and shops. A further five to ten minutes stroll brings you to the small beach of Playa Blanca – White Beach – from which the resort takes its name. This is where tourism first took off here and the beach is very close to a wide selection of restaurants and the main shopping precinct in Calles Limones. Which is also where the official Tourist Information Office is located.

We Stayed at the villa casa Blanca from 13-20th October, and had a wonderful time. Villa was more spacious than expected, and the pool and terrace area was fantastic. The villa is in a great location-we hired a car,but it's easy enough to walk into playa Blanca from the villa,in around 20 mins, and is Only 5 mins away in car. Playa Blanca has lovely beach and plenty of restaurants and little shops. There is a small supermarket just over the road to the rear of the villa, and a kids play park-much to the delight of our 2 and 4 year olds. We really enjoyed our stay, and are already looking into returning next year.
We'd originally booked with another company (really well known brand) who let us down a few weeks before our holiday despite it being booked for over 7 months!
Really glad they did now. From the initial contact with David to receiving our damage deposit back the experience has been perfect!
The villa is lovely and just like the photos. Plenty of room and in a nice quiet location. The maintenance of the pool and gardens is superb and help was only a quick phone call away. A taxi into Playa Blanca less than €5 which was ideal - far enough to be away from any noise but close enough to enjoy the facilities the resort has to offer.
Nothing negative to say and the hire car company that David recommended was cheap too.
A really relaxing holiday from start to finish - many thanks to David and his team!!!
We stayed at the villa to celebrate my partners 50th birthday. Having never done a villa holiday before didn't know what to expect! We couldn't have be more pleasantly surprised.
On arrival on Sunday evening we were greeted with a few essentials - tea coffee biscuits bread & wine, what a lovely touch.
The villa itself was kept to a very high standard inside & out. It was spotless and all appliances in full working order.
There was no air conditioning but it was quiet breezy during our stay so having the windows open kept the villa fairly cool.
The outside pool area and gardens were well kept and spacious.
I don't think a car is essential as only a 20 minute walk to the centre of playa blanca or only €3 in a taxi.
All in all a vey good holiday and we will be defiantly returning to this villa.
The villa was lovely, spacious and very clean. The only real problem was the pillows were a little flat and the white bed linen kept falling off the beds, it made it a bit
uncomfortable for sleeping. We all felt it could do with better pillows and bedding.
There was no air con so we had to have the fans on all night which do make a noise.
Everything else inside worked well. It is a very nice villa.
Outside the pool area is fantastic. We did feel that there wasn't enough area if you wanted shade and the eating area outside could be positioned better.
Our biggest problem was that it stated that we would not need a car but I am afraid one does need a car as it is too far for anyone to walk to the beach and back. If you do walk, it is on what I call a plot of land that hasn't been built on yet which is not easy walking at all. If you do decide to stay then hire a car.
Overall we did enjoy our stay in this villa.
Casa Blanca is situated in the idyllic town of Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. Playa Blanca is known for its glorious white sandy beaches, there are three such beaches within easy reach of the villa and just a little further out of town are the famous Papagayo beaches with their crystal clear waters, white sand and coves. Playa Blanca town itself has lots to offer, there are plenty of good quality restaurants with a wide range of different cuisines from traditional Canarian through to Indian and Mexican. Also we have several bars offering live music or sport – whichever you prefer. The villa is also a great base if you wish to see more of the island, the renown Timanfaya Volcanic Mountains are only a short drive away, also the Cesar Manrique house and museum is a great visit. Water sports are readily available on Dorada beach or for the more discerning sports enthusiasts visit Famara beach – great for surfing, body boarding and even kite-surfing.
Golf: The island now offers 2 golf courses.
The closest is just outside Puerto del Carmen, approximately a 25 minute drive from Playa Blanca. It is an 18 hole, 72 par course designed by the American course designer Ron Kirby and is 6133 metres in length.
The oldest and most established course is in Costa Teguise. An 18 hole, 72 par course approximately a 45 minute drive from Playa Blanca. Situated at the base of a volcano, this course was designed by a Brit, John Harris and built in 1978. Its between 4938 and 6041 metres in length at its longest.
