The house was completely renovated in 2015. The apartment is light and sunny. Sit in the yard and watch the sun set on the handsome, crenellated 1900s Armory. There are two bedrooms, one with a full bed, and one with a king/double twin bed.

historic home with clean, bright updates
I would have given this wonderful apartment a five, but my husband missed having a sports station on the t.v. during the basketball quarter finals, and so he gave it a four. I would love to stay here again.
In addition, the landscaping in back was beautiful. However, one concern: with no handrail, the steps outside the front door were almost little too steep for me.
very attractive apartment in interesting neighborhood
We enjoyed our visit very much. The apartment is nicely furnished with very pleasant natural light. Our landlady Helen was extremely helpful and attentive. We would certainly go back.
A wonderful stay in Providence
This "stay" provided three women a wonderful respite and retreat from a demanding professional training program. The Blue Cottage was well appointed, comfortable, spacious, and suitable for all of our needs. Muffins, fruit, coffee and other tasty treats welcomed us in the kitchen. - thank you, Helen! We had wonderful light and views of the surrounding neighborhood and its architecture as the snow fell around us. The Cottage is within walking distance of parks, restaurants, shoppes, other interesting neighborhoods, and downtown Providence. Providence is a great city, and we would return to the Blue Cottage without hesitation.
Beautiful place, Helen was great! Thanks for a wonderful stay. Can’t wait to come back.
All of the hotels in Providence were sold out during Parents' weekend.
Because I prefer to stay downtown, as apposed to driving in each day, I checked out HomeAway.
After reviewing the photos and reading the reviews from previous guests, I decided to give Blue Cottage a try.
It is a little slice of perfection! From the moment you open the door you are flooded with a clean fresh scent and sunlight pours through the beautiful windows.
I am supper fussy when it comes to cleanliness whenever I stay overnight. Blue cottage is immaculate with special attention to details.
The neighborhood is very quiet unlike a hotel on a busy street.
Thank you Helen, For being the perfect hostess. You were always available if I needed anything.
We visited a few of your restaurant suggestions you gave us and they were wonderful. Thank you for the list.
My neighbors were delighted with the Tiramisu I brought them from Pastiche!
Thank you for making my trip to providence a special one this time.
I will see you again!
A wonderful apartment tastefully furnished. Within 5 minute drive of town centre, 1 hour drive to Boston. Helen was welcoming and informative. Only stayed for 3 nights but would love the opportunity to further explore the area, would not hesitate to re book.
