We live near San Francisco in California, and have been vacationing in Mexico over the years. Both of us work in the high technology industry in Silicon Valley and love to spend time in our Cabo home when time permits.

My family and I stayed at Casa de Helios from March 12th - 19th 2016. In the months leading up to our visit property owner Partha and property manager Marty were fantastic. They made sure all our questions were answered, provided directions from the airport and helpful information regarding the area to make our trip enjoyable. Marty was at the house waiting when we arrived and provided more local knowledge and contact information if we needed anything.
The home is a paradise. We had 5 adults and 2 kids and there was more than enough room for others if needed. All the amenities were in good working order. Wifi was reliable. The home was well cared for and the property including the entire neighborhood was kept in great shape and secure. We enjoyed the sunrise and whale spotting from the deck/pool. We walked (10min with kids) down to the beach and were able to stroll in the sand until everyone was tired. Swimming was great but watch the waves with smaller kids. The nights were pleasant with lots of stars and big skies to enjoy.
We were very close to all groceries and shopping required. We spent a couple days in San Jose del Cabo. The drive to Cabo San Lucas was easy and we took a day trip to Todos Santos on the Pacific side. Make sure to try and surf in the waves. Well worth it and only about an hours drive.
Overall our time at Casa del Helios was fantastic. When we did leave the house we found many amazing adventures to partake in.
We would come back for sure.

We just spent an amazing week at Casa de Helio. We saw whales from the patio and flying rays at the beach. Watching the full moon rise over the water was georgeous! This was our fourth family trip in 8 years with adult children and grandchildren (8 adults and two children) and we loved the villa, pool and hot tub. The little beach was nice but still a little too much for a couple of three year olds, they did like the sand though. The view was wonderful just wished the beach was a little closer, easy going down but a climb coming back up. The gated community was very secure and we enjoyed walking around and visiting with people as we explored around and Mega was only about 10 mins away. Great memories!
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful time at Casa Helios. The property lived up to the pictures. Every room had an awe inspiring view of the ocean. There was ample room for our big family of seven. The walk to the beach was well worth it. The Mega store had everything we needed. Marty, the property manager, was friendly, responsive, and so helpful. He introduced us to local eateries that were nothing short of amazing. We treated ourselves to a whale watching tour and we weren't disappointed. Two whales put on a show for us for over 1/2 hour. Christmas 2015 at Casa Helios will be a treasured memory.
The view and the whales are all true! We were a family of 3 generations staying over the Christmas period. With three couples each having their own private quarters and bathrooms, it enabled a comfortable 9 day stay. The two 12 year old granddaughters stayed in the casita and felt very grown up. The older granddaughter hoped to sleep on a blow up bed in the palapa outdoors. While it may have worked, she found it too light with the full moon and neighbours lighting. She put the mattress on top of the pull out couch and slept in the living room. It was easy to then dismantle the bed for the day and provided a very comfortable bed. I think the house works best with 8 people max.
We basically lived outside. Since the hurricane, the owner rebuilt the palapa and railing ( as well as windows of course) and provided new deck furniture. There was an issue when we arrived with the heat for the pool. They were waiting for the delivery of a new large propane tank and were fearful of us using too much fuel for the pool that we ran out of propane to use the stove or dryer. We were somewhat doubtful that it would all get done over Christmas as it was a big job. However, with Marty's coordination it all happened as promised and we had a hot tub. The ocean this year is so warm, we spent more time there than in the pool, but it was nice to have an evening hot tub with the full moon.
The Mega grocery is less than 10 minutes away and has everything. We did all our meals in after the first night, which we had fun with. We even perfected the perfect marguerita! Some of the appliances are a bit dated for the quality of the house, but after the expense of repairing the hurricane damage, it is understandable. When we were short of some items, Marty provided them. We did employ the housekeeper one day during the time which worked well. We felt very pampered with the kind gate guards, the gardeners, the pool maintenance person and the housekeeper.
We did go up to La Paz one day to swim with the whale sharks which is highly recommended. You do require a car to stay in that area. We rented from Alamo, and the others used National and Cactus with no problem. Once you get over the fact that you need all the insurance and it will cost more than the car, then all is good. We found the Mexican people we met with very helpful and kind. The beach below the house is beautiful, and even over Christmas we often had it to ourselves.
We highly recommend this house to families
We stayed here with our 2 young children and it was beautiful. The house was very clean, and the beds were more comfortable than the one I have at home :) The view was fantastic and it was great to be able to hang by the pool or in the palapa and take it all in. Marty was just wonderful and welcoming and helped us with our every need. There are lots of fantastic restaurants within a short driving distance (a car is a must) and San Jose is as delightful as ever. The casita is awesome if you are traveling with friends or in-laws.
The kitchen could do with a little updating but it was a minor thing. The rest of the house is extremely well stocked and lots of toys for the pool. Oh - and I wanted to see whales but didn't...........OK, I know, not much that can be done about that :) We will be back!
We had a great time in Cabo. The house was roomy and the layout was perfect for us. Adults got the three bedrooms while the kids were in the casita. The pool and outdoor areas were amazing. The beach near the house was beautiful and very private. The house was close enough to get to the main area of Cabo but far enough away to not be with the crowds. Costco and Megamart are close by. Also being in the gated community made us feel very safe. We left all of our beach stuff at the beach all week and nothing was ever missing. Marty was our local contact and when we needed some extra beach towels he brought some that afternoon. The only minor downside was walking back home from the beach...it is not really far but coming home it is entirely uphill. Also you must eat at 'The Office'.... great location, service and food. I would recommend this house.
Located on the Los Cabos Corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, the property is just a few minutes drive from the best snorkeling areas in Cabo - Chileno beach and Santa Maria. Two of the best golf courses - Cabo del Sol and Cabo Real are about a 5 minute drive/taxi from the property. For deep sea fishing, you can go from from Palmilla beach which is a 3 min drive from the property or from the marinas in San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.
For dining, San Jose del Cabo boasts some of the finest restaurants in the area, which is 7 mins drive from the property. Mega shopping complex for groceries and Walmart are within 5 mins drive from the property as well.
Not to mention, our semi-private beach - Punta Bella is a 3min walk from the property, which is next to the Palmilla beach within walking access.
