Beartooth Mountains House Rental Photos and Description

Sunny 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Craftsman-style house (sleeps 6)

Sunny 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom Craftsman-style cottage in one of Montana's most popular vacation spots. Our house is just 3 blocks away from Red Lodge's historic main street where you will find great shops, restaurants, galleries, and bars. Enjoy Red Lodge Mountain ski area in winter and the vast Beartooth Mountains in summer. Only 70 miles from Yellowstone National Park.

This 1800 sq.ft house has a fully outfitted kitchen, washer-dryer, dishwasher, microwave, cable TV, and Internet with wifi. Full bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. One bedroom has a queen and one bedroom has a full-size bed. The downstairs bedroom has a daybed which can turn into two single beds. Three large sunny living spaces on the ground floor are great for large family/friend gatherings. Spacious for a couple, perfect for 4, comfortable and private enough for a group of 6.

The house includes off-street parking, pleasant yard with a covered patio. Enjoy the Blaze King wood stove, our vintage upright piano, and the tasteful contemporary decor.

This house has been in my family for generations: We call it 'Gaga's House' in honor of our grandmother. We remodeled it and began accepting guests in 2012, but it isn't just a 'property' – it's our family vacation home and we are often there when it isn't reserved for guests. You will feel at home in Red Lodge when you stay at 'Gaga's House'.

Check in after 3PM, check out by 11AM unless other arrangements have been made.

About Renee Tafoya

I am an artist and designer living in Wyoming.

Why Renee Tafoya chose Beartooth Mountains

My house was built in 1910. It was my grandmother's house, then my mother's, now mine. We remodeled it and began accepting guests in 2012, but it isn't just a 'property' – it's our family vacation home and we are often there when it isn't reserved for guests. The neighborhood is quiet and established. The house is 3 blocks from downtown, close enough to walk, but away from the hustle and bustle of main street. You will feel at home in Red Lodge when you stay at my house.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We liked the old-fashion yet very functional layout. It is easy to walk to the shops downtown and visit the farmer's market, yet off the main road far enough to be quiet at night. Renee is great to work with and accommodated the changes that we made to our dates and responsible party with grace. She answered all questions quickly and was easy to contact. My mother cooked up an Italian meal, lasagne, garlic bread, salad and brownies all in Renee's kitchen that fed 20 people at the rehearsal dinner for the wedding we were attending. There were six of us staying in the house, all adults, and we fit just fine and had no problems with bathrooms or hot water. If we are ever in that area again, we will stay at Renee's place.

Great Location! Good Accommodation for our Son's wedding!

  • 4 of 5

The house suited our needs and was in walking distance to many of Red Lodge's lovely shops and restaurants. Renee and her husband stopped by during the week. She made us feel very welcomed! She is also continuing to make improvements on her grandmother's home.

Warm and welcoming in Red Lodge.

  • 5 of 5

The house was great for us - three teens and two adults - looking for a place to rest after ski days at the mountain. We cooked in the kitchen (sorry to miss Mas Tacos) and enjoyed relaxing in the living room. Very comfortable and well-appointed. Oh and backyard deer!

Excellent, cozy home!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Red Lodge for a family wedding. The home was well equipped, and everything you could want or need was easily found from the minute you walk in the door. We especially liked the little touch of menus for local restaurants. Love Mas Tacos and Cafe Regis. If you like to walk, it was an easy stroll to the downtown shopping and grocery store. Also adequate parking if you need that, too.

Nestled at the base of the Beartooth Mountains, Red Lodge is an historic western town, famous for the Beartooth Pass – a high-elevation road through a million-plus acre wilderness. A gateway community to Yellowstone National Park, Red Lodge is genuinely one of the 'Last Best Places.' The historic downtown features locally owned shops, a local brew pub, and many good restaurants. Red Lodge offers an abundance of recreation options, from mountain biking, hiking, golfing, camping, and fishing in the summer months to Nordic and downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter.
