Charming and spacious with lovely garden and pool
We were a family of 9 and had an amazing stay at Nikki and Daryl's lovely property. Starting with the welcome basket to Nikki being available to answer our questions, we couldn't have asked for more. Plenty of things to do for kids and extra bonus, a friendly kittycat to greet you when you arrive back home from your daily adventures! The house is beautiful, outside and in, and the gardens well cared for. Our kids enjoyed the pool, the ping pong table and we rented bikes to get around. Highly recommend. Also, very close to many prehistoric caves, if you are interested in that.
Thank you very much. We enjoyed your visit to us at Les Girouteaux.
Stunning house and Gardens, lots to do!!
Our 4th year of returning to the beautiful house and gardens of La Maison Bleu and yet again no disappointments!
We arrived to find Nikki and Daryl had managed to improve on what we already felt was a perfect place to holiday whether you wanted lots to do or just rest and relaxation, but the changes they have made have just further enhanced the house and gardens perfectly!
Although our 4th year and about our 10 time in visits during the last 4 years we still found new places to visit and new restaurants to try although we do still like to visit the favourites - Julian's at Paunet a short drive away and Mentalo which is just a nice gentle stroll down the road.
Nikki and Daryl as ever the perfect hosts, around for any queries and only a phone call away if needed but also leave you to it so this place really does feel like a home from home.
Fantastic week enjoyed and looking forward to returning yet again shortly in August 2017 and have also booked for 2018!
Stunning house and gardens! great region of France to explore loads to do! great restaurants locally or a short drive! simply perfect!!
Julie (mum), Aidan (son and grandson 7 yrs) and Roy (amazing father and grandpa) - quality family time always enjoyed with 3 generations kept happy! x
Charming property, perfect location
Four of us spent a wonderful ten days in La Maison Bleue. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the kitchen well-furnished. The welcome package of bread, butter, coffee and tea was much appreciated. The location was perfect for us to use as a base from which to explore Perigord. Font des Gaumes, just across the road (about five minutes on foot) is not to be missed! As the October nights cooled, the central heating was welcome. Nikki and Daryl were good hosts - available if needed and always ready to help or make suggestions.
Great property in a beautiful part of France
We were three families with ages ranging from 11-75 and the three gites accommodated us all comfortably. Nikki was extremely helpful before our arrival responding to lots of questions and setting up extra beds where we needed them. During the week Nikki and Daryl were around most days and helped us with any issues we had as well as giving us great advice on places to visit. The pool was great and well used by all. We appreciated all the various sit out areas around the garden and property. The large grounds were great for playing frisbee and other games. All in all it was a great holiday. Thanks Daryl and Nikki.
Arguably, the most relaxing place I know.
We have stayed here a few times now and returned to celebrate my big 50 birthday. Once again it was such a relaxing stay with fantastic weather and we are still discovering new places to visit and enjoy that made the week fly by. The house is really comfortable and the large, sunny patio area was perfect for the birthday barbecue.
This is my second time here at La Maison Bleue and i can't wait for the next. It along with the 2 other gites here are beautiful and set in a stunning landscape as well. They are all well maintained, spotlessly clean and have all the facilities you could need for a comfortable stay. The location is ideal as it is set in a quiet area yet is surrounded with places and activities to go to, do or see.
Daryl and Nikki are brilliant and will do everything they can to make your stay the best it can be and i would highly recommend a stay here to anyone that was interested in taking a holiday in France, I really can't praise it enough.
