Overview

Pollensa Region Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Four bedroom villa for 8 people located very close to the town of Pollensa.

This attractive villa is located near the peaceful area of la Font and comfortably furnished in modern style, with a flare of traditional Mallorca. The main entrance leads directly to a spacious yet inviting living/dining room.

Across from it is the kitchen, fully equipped: oven, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator/freezer. The kitchen is provided with lots of natural lighting, and it has direct access to the swimming pool and barbecue area.

The villa has a spacious terrace that was recently modified with wooden beams which create a nice area to get away from the midday sun.

The pool is located after the lawn and the garden; it is a perfect area for children to play, under the shade and with no dangers around.

The bedrooms are located on the first floor. Each one has a great mountain view from their respective windows.

Sooooo relaxing!

  • 4 of 5

Our party of 5 adults have just returned from a really relaxing week in C'an Baster. The photos do not do this villa justice and Antonia and Pepe were great hosts. The villa is a super size with more than enough room to give everyone their privacy but a lovely setting for chatting over a leisurely lunch or a bottle or two over an evening meal. No complaints over cleanliness and an obviously well loved and looked after property. Our call to Antonia over a problem with the airconditioner had both her and Pepe attending in person within 30 minutes and soon had the problem solved.

We tended to just relax on this holiday but did visit Deia, Cala St Vicente (try Marina's Bar for lunch... omelettes and sardines a speciality at a very reasonable price) as well as Alcudia and Pollenca itself. Our favourite restaurant in Puerto Pollenca is Tango set back a couple of streets back from the Pine Walk. Best for value! We did walk to the restaurant on the corner of our road, handy... but our most expensive meal!

So, a lovely holiday and our only small complaint (I would have given 5 stars!) was no water or milk to make a welcome cup of tea after a long day travelling. They would have been much appreciated! But I would still recommend this lovely villa to anyone for a really relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings, it's magical on an evening with all the lights on!

The Canadian Rossland Roadies

  • 5 of 5

This is truly a wonderful, convenient home to stay in. The owners Antonia and Pepe were so hospitable, efficient and their comfortable villa was a delight to stay in. The guest book they provided was well written with lots of helpful information to help guests enjoy their stay. All 8 of us rented bikes as we were on a cycling holiday and the shops for groceries, markets, restaurants in Pollensa were easy to get to either walking or biking. Also very easy and reasonable to get a taxi to further destinations. It was very peaceful and quiet for sleeping. Beautiful views of the Puig de Maria and I loved stepping out the door to pick a fresh lemon.

I truly enjoyed the comfort of this villa and the different rooms provided quiet places for a group of 8 to enjoy or spread out in. Never felt crowded. There was a cooler spell of weather when we were there so the heat made it very comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as well with lots of cozy blankets and pillows. Definitely very happy with it for a group our size with ages from 57-81 years of age. Lots of bathrooms and warm water.

We cooked in a lot as we enjoy doing that and used the charcoal barbeque for legs of lamb, pork, burgers and paella. I was in the pool every day for a swim. We had friends in the area so the house had lots of extra space for dinner guests.

A new restaurant La Braseria had opened up on the corner before town April 22nd, 10 minutes walk and we stopped there for drinks often and had a delightful dinner our last night. In fact 17 of us from Canada. Very delicious food and wonderful service from the international waitresses, Russia, Ecuador and Brazil . The Chef is young and from Venezuela. Highly recommend it.

We needed to lock our bikes up at night so upon asking a key was provided pronto for the laundry room where we stored them. Once I sent an email about the remote for the gate and Pepe was over within an hour with a replacement. Such fast service.

The grounds were well kept and house immaculate. Only suggestion a new coffee maker. Having 8 people cycling we were sometimes coming and going at different times so a code for the gate or doors would have been convenient.

Over all this is definitely a 5 star Villa, well maintained and delightful owners. Upon my return to Mallorca I will definitely be booking this exceptional property.

Superb, Spacious Villa

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Ca'n Baster with our family and it never fails to delight.

Down a country lane outside Pollensa, set in open land surrounded by trees and hedges, with access through electric gates, your peace and privacy are assured.

It is possible to walk into Pollensa, it takes about 25 minutes (at night take a torch!) or is 5 minute drive to the edge of town and a ten minute walk to the centre where there is an abundance of restaurants, La Font del Gall and Cantonet were among our favourites. Cafeteria La Volta has now opened near the beginning of the lane which is handy if you don't want to go all the way to the centre. At night the Plaza Major is the place to be - try the ice cream if nothing else. On a Sunday this is the site of the market, just right for stocking up with Mallorcan delicacies. For the basics there is a Lidl a little way down the Puerto Pollensa road.

The villa could not be better suited to outside living, it has an enormous covered patio with a large dining table, smaller table with comfy chairs and a table tennis table. There is even room for a small gecko! If that were not enough, at the end of the building is another covered area with a built in barbeque, a big table with benches and an antique bread oven. This ensures you can eat outside whatever the weather, not that it's much of a problem in Mallorca. There is almost as much living space inside the villa as out, but with the good weather we didn't really do it justice.

The pool is another big plus, whether it is just for cooling off or keeping junior family members entertained, ours grew gills during their stay.

Ca'n Baster now benefits from air conditioning which is very agreeable at night in the height of summer.

If we had any minor problems Pepe and Antonia were always quickly on hand to sort them out.

All in all this is certainly our favourite holiday venue.

Great Place!

  • 5 of 5

We visited Can Baster for the third time. It is a really great place to spend your holidays. The house is very well equipped, very tidy and clean, and the pool is great fun. A good place for children as well as elder people.

Thanks to Antonia and Pepe for your hospitality!

Fantastic villa in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The description on the website does not do this property justice. It is a superb villa with character but with tasteful modern elements e.g, air conditioned rooms, large fridge, cooker etc. it boasts a large terrace with a rustic table and benches that easily sits 8 people with all their food. A comfy seating area plus a smaller breakfast table. There is also a raised outside terrace area where the outside built in barbecue and outside bread oven is located. A medium sized swimming pool and lovely garden. It also boasted a table tennis table outside that was used with a number of family tournaments being held. There was also a mid week maid service who changed all the towels and gave the villa a quick once over. It also had an outside washroom with washing machine, iron and ironing board. The villa itself is totally private with no other villa overlooking it and a large field in front of it and to one side. The villa was spotlessly clean and in great condition. It is sited around 1 kilometre from the town of Pollenca which in itself is virtually unspoilt by tourism. Pollenca itself had plenty of good quality restaurants and we took advantage of La Fonda, a real gem of a place. We had tried Il Gardino last year and that also excellent but would recommend making a reservation as all the restaurants filled up pretty quickly especially if you want to eat outside. here are quality patisserie and delicatessens in Pollenca to take advantage of to get your local pastries, meat and veg from with a market held on a Sunday morning. If you want a more tourist slanted area then Puerto Pollenca is the place to go but it is still not in the Magalluf league of tackiness! It has a classy marina with a number of good eating places. Would recommend the Stay restaurant. it also has a large beach area. A really nice cove within 10 mins of Pollenca to go to was Cala San Vincent. A small cosy, sandy/some pebbles beach that was safe to swim and snorkel in with lifeguards in attendance as well. Pollenca benefits from not having any British themed pubs (hooray!!) but Puerto Pollenca has a couple with karaoke etc. ok if you like that sort of thing. Our family age range ran from 54 to 21 but the younger elements (the majority) were more than happy to spend the evenings in the peace and tranquillity of the villa or Pollenca (I think they've had their fill of partying in university!!). Finally, the owners were brilliant to us - muchas gracias.

Notes:
Can Baster is the ideal place to rest and spend a peaceful vacation. Perfect to disconnect from work. Since it is located at the entrance of La Font, there aren't many neighbours around, this endows it great tranquillity.
