The apartment is a converted wine cellar and is in an upscale and quiet residential neighborhood just steps from Florence's main attractions (10 min walk to Santa Croce, 15 to Duomo). We are located right in front of a park filled with wonderful trees and are close to Via Gioberti and Piazza Beccaria, which feature many fabulous shops, restaurants and cafes where the locals go! We'll give you a list of our favorites!
The apartment has been recently renovated and much of the furniture has been custom-made for optimal use of space. We used a mix of contemporary design woven in with the more classical features: marble floors and brick archways, which makes the apartment very romantic!
The apartment is located on lower-street level so just one small flight of steps down. An independent entrance means that you'll enjoy complete privacy. The bedroom features a double size bed.
Wifi is included as well as a few surprises for guests upon arrival.

I am an American who has been living and working in Florence for the past 12 years. I work in the travel industry and know Italy like the back of my hand! My husband, a proud Florentine, and I love to help our guests get the most out of their stay in our beautiful city!
Courtney Mundy purchased this apartment in 2008
Florence is a city that is beloved by many, and with reason!! We absolutely love this part of town, an elegant and quiet neighborhood which allows you to feel like a local while at the same time exploring all of the major sights which are just steps from the apartment.
We are experts in the travel industry and we can help you with anything you'd like; from the inside scoop on the best 'undiscovered' restaurant in town to booking museum tickets so you don't waste time in line, to suggestions on how to organize your vacation throughout Italy.
Getting the inside scoop from Courtney and Tommaso, two 'locals' who are proud of their city and eager to share their insider knowledge with visitors. We stock the apartment with breakfast supplies and a few extra surprises which are always greatly appreciated...
Getting to know Courtney and staying at her charming apt (proudly referred by her as PD10) is one of the highlights of our recent trip to Tuscany. The place is ideally located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to everything. Interior deco is simple yet tasty, equipped with nice furniture, easy to use appliances and good quality accessories that made our stay cozy and comfortable. Natural cool air breezes through the entire apt during days and nights, making it a cool sanctuary away from the 90F heat outside. One thing we under expected before arriving Florence is what a great resource Courtney is for not only our stay in Florence but also our trip to Tuscany countryside. A friendly and thoughtful lady from the US, she has been doing tour planning in the area for years, and knows all the cool places for staying, sightseeing, shopping and of course eating/drinking. She made herself available during the course of our trip and answered our many questions way beyond what a host is obligated to. We are so fortunate to find Courtney and PD10 on airbnb, and will definitely go back to them.
If you're looking for a great apartment in the middle of Florence, this is IT!!!! Beautiful place with all the amenities - lovely, knowledgeable, and helpful owner - fantastic location. My husband and I (retired and semi-retired) stayed there in late September and really enjoyed the apartment (and adored Florence).
We stayed here for six nights in September. At first glance on VRBO, I thought it would be a very small apartment to stay in for this time period but when we finally arrived we were greeted by Courtney who showed us in. Upon entering, my initial impression was that it was a very nice cozy place to stay. It is nicely furnished. There are windows in each room. Each window remained open to provide nice breezes throughout the apartment. The bed was comfortable and big enough for two people. You can tell that she pays attention to detail by the art work on the walls, the tableware, glasses etc. and by all the necessary items needed to enjoy our stay. With that being said, it is a nice apartment so when we wanted asked about storing a place to store our rental road bikes, she was able to accommodate us by allowing us to use a garage nearby. We really appreciated the groceries like fruit, cereal, yogurt, milk and coffee available when we checked in. We really really appreciated the wine and the prosecco too! Thanks Courtney for buying a blender too as we enjoyed making smoothies in the morning. Unsure of where to eat in Florence, Courtney provided a listing of coffee shops, restaurants and phrases all of which was most helpful. My favorite is Serafini's....best cream puffs and customer service! The Carrefour Express grocery store was just a couple of blocks away but had a lot of what we needed. The only thing is the store closes earlier than you might expect. The CONAD grocery store is my preferred store as it had a larger selection of produce and baked goods and stays open later. I think that if you stay here you should certainly check out Courtney's restaurant choices as they are reliable and valuable when it comes to looking for places to eat and drink. PD10 is a nice place, and as others have mentioned it is in a quiet neighborhood that is not very far at all from the main touristy areas. A bonus was that it is very close to the bike lanes that lead around the city.
My wife and I stayed in Courtny's apartment for a week using it as a base to visit Pisa, Lucca and Misano. Firstly the apartment is beautiful and Courtny did everything to make sure we enjoyed our stay. She met us as arranged, had taken the time to buy fruit, wine and other essentials and even arranged taxi rides for us to the train station. The location can't be beat, 15 minutes walk to the main attractions but far enough out so you feel you really live there. Nice cafe just round the corner where we could get breakfast in the morning for two for less than 10 euros there are also very good and reasonably priced restaurants within 5 mins walk. If you want to stay in Florence you can't beat this apartment. Thanks so much for helping make our vacation one we will never forget.
Enjoyed our stay immensely, in front of a big park, quite a tranquil place for being so close to the historical centre. Parking relatively easy, perhaps because it was August and many Florentines are out of town. Also used as a base to go to Tuscan towns of Siena, Arezzo, Cortona and Assisi. Memorable holiday, thanks Courtney.
We had a great 4-night stay at this apartment. Not only are the owners awesome, the location is close to everything! I can not recommend Courtney and Tomaso's apartment enough. They will be our first call when we return to Florence!
We found the apartment very accommodating with all of the amenities you would need while away.
The wine cellar atmosphere added to the romantic feel of this unique apartment.
The location was convenient which made navigating through the town like we locals instead of tourists.
