The house was great! It fit 16 people comfortable - the trail was about a 5 to 10 minute walk but if it's snowing it's a great way to start your day off on the mountain. If there's limited amount of snow then the ski on ski off feature is challenging as the trail (Home Stretch) is most likely closed. Aside from that the Kitchen is super modern. (2) fireplaces so it makes the common area super comfy. (3) full bathrooms that are a bit small but still full baths and 4 rooms (3 rooms with two bunk beds and one room with a bunk and a queen). I brought my firestick to watch movies but you can certainly bring and connect your gaming systems (just bring the wires). The driveway is steep and can fit 4-5 cars comfortable, it got a little icy at night so be sure to put the salt down when the sun is out so you don't slide. There was plenty of firewood and newspaper so you don't need to bring any fire starters.
The checkin process was super easy! I would certainly stay here again and rent from Bryan again.
My group of friends really enjoyed staying in this house. With so many single beds, there is a great deal of flexibility for sleeping arrangements. The common area has ample seating on couches and around the main table, and the three bathrooms allow for flexibility with showers, etc. (with almost a full house, we didn't run out of hot water). There were also plenty of folding chairs, extra blankets and pillows, etc., which is a very nice bonus. The house sits at the base of a steep driveway and a considerable stairway, so an AWD vehicle is best in the winter (although there is a parking option at the top), and a good set of legs helps with the stairs. The large windows offer a great view of the surrounding area, and on a clear morning, the sunrise is spectacular. The kitchen is not too large, but nicely appointed and recently updated with stainless appliances. It served our purpose very well. There are plenty of dishes and silverware (but BYO wine glasses). Although you can theoretically walk to the Home Stretch Trail for skiing, it is a bit of a haul, especially in ski boots, and that is dependent on the trail being open. Otherwise it is just a short drive to the Bear Mtn. or Skyeship bases. We had the opportunity to meet the caretaker when he stopped by to shovel the stairs, and he was very helpful in answering some initial questions we had about the house. Very friendly guy. There was a full stock of firewood, and we enjoyed the use of both the fireplace and wood stove for our entire stay. The place is built for enjoying the company of your friends/family - I would definitely return!
The house was perfect for a big group, we stayed the first week of December. It was very close to Killington mountain for a bunch of us snowboarders & skiers. It was an ideal set up for the common area and PLENTY of room for sleeping. We definitely enjoyed the house and plan on staying again!
We had a group of 16 and we fit comfortably in the house. You could take a short walk down the road and ski right down to skyeship which was convenient. House had all necessities and was clean. We would definetly stay again in the future!!
We rented this house for a ski trip for a large group of friends and the place was perfect. A little walk to the nearest trail, but you're right by the Skyeship gondola, so easy to get to. It was the perfect house to enjoy some after ski relaxation time too with a cozy fireplace and open living room area to socialize. We all had a great time and the rooms were very comfortable and easily accomodated our large group.
This is house a great place for a large group. It has plenty of beds. The common area is large and comfortable. The renovated kitchen is very nice. It's convenient to Killington.
