Tennessee Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Mountain Shadows Resort #432421

Located across the street from the Resort Pool and Waterfall with your own private driveway. This studio log home offers a wonderful place to spend your vacation or honeymoon getaway. Your private deck and hot tub are surrounded by mountain laurel, rhododendron, and hemlocks. Inside is a luxury studio cabin you will call "A Smoky Mountain Dream". It features a gas fireplace with stone to the ceiling, king size bed with memory foam top, flat screen TV with DVD, indoor Jacuzzi, gas grill, and a well equipped kitchen. Your cabin can accommodate 4 with 2 twin roll away beds.

This beautiful cabin is located in Mountain Shadows Resort. You are less than 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg and 4 miles from the main entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. A few of the area attractions are Dollywood, Gatlinburg Aquarium, Ober Gatlinburg, and the Arts & Crafts Community. So convenient to Downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge attractions. The mountains offer you the opportunity to hike, camp, picnic, and go horseback riding while enjoying the waterfalls, mountain streams, and trails. Did I mention the great food, outlet shopping malls, and music and comedy shows? If you need more to do, our nearby community center offers indoor swimming, bowling, racket ball, aerobic and weight lifting equipment for a very nominal fee. Mountain Shadows also has a Pavilion and Playground area for all guests. The Pavilion may be reserved for weddings, reunions, and large groups (free) on an availability basis. You will love this cabin.

A beautiful place to stay while you visit the Smoky Mountains. It is just as advertised and named “A Smoky Mountain Dream”. All the room Ralph and I needed and everything was just perfect. I give this place an A+. Nancy, Madison In

Very Disappointing

  • 1 of 5

The cabin was extremely nasty and I wouldn't consider it a 1 star. When I saw the condition it was in and called the office I was informed that since I had rented it for a week and housekeeping did not come while it was rented out that she didn't see anyway they could do anything about it. The manager didn't seem concerned when I spoke in person with her. It is the worst managed place I've ever encountered and a horrible experience overall

Owner's Response: After receiving this horrible review, we met with our rental company team. We hope that this guest will accept our sincere apology. A guest should never have to stay in a cabin that is not thoroughly clean. Our management company was wrong in not making sure the cabin was ready. They informed us that after the guest checked in she called the office at about 5:30 PM and told them the cabin was “nasty.” They informed her that housekeeping had already left for the day but would be there early the next morning. In an effort to make sure that the customer was happy, one of the managers quickly drove to the cabin to find our about any problems the guest was having. He changed the air filter. He again assured the guest that housekeeping would be there the following morning. The guest asked that the housekeeper be there from 11:00 to 11:30. After the housekeeper took care of the customer’s complaints, she told our guest to call the office if she needed any additional cleaning services and that she would be glad to come back. This is company policy. A housekeeper is always on call during business hours. The guest stayed for a week and never called the office again about anything else. A manager met with the guest when she was checking out and listened to her describe what had happened when she checked in. It does appear that after the fact the rental company did everything possible to make this guest comfortable. Nevertheless, as owners we are saddened and embarrassed by this incident and we will personally check the cabin prior all guest arrivals. When the Summer rush is over, we are planning to renovate (new hardwood floors and furnishings).

Quaint and clean log cabin. The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were lumpy. Some of the burners on the stove were not working. The skillet would not sit flat on the burner. The other kitchen utensils were sparse. The towels were not soft. The lighting in the cabin was very poor. Overall it was quiet and peaceful area. The pool was nice.

Simple Cabin

  • 3 of 5

My husband & I booked this for a 5 day stay in the area for May. The cabin seemed in much better condition looking at the pictures. For the price it wasn't bad & it is cute but....the appliances were very old. The bathroom did not have much room & the closet was in their was packed with the 2 twin roll away beds & blankets. The hot tub worked but it did not have lights that worked on the inside so if you want to sit in it & have the porch light on expect to be attacked by bugs. The bed was super comfy, a king bed, but pillows super flat. There were also barely any kitchen utensils, cups, plates, or anything. Be expected to see a few bugs in the cabin. If you need to empty the trash you have to drive down the road to the main office to take it. The cabin is pet friendly but the neighborhood has no where to walk dogs. We had to let ours do their business (which we cleaned up after) at the top of the steep hill in another yard. But again, for the price & us not being there much it was ok.

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was very comfortable for two people. The bed was amazing! I'd go back again in a heart beat. I really hated to leave! It's close to all the action, but while you're there, you can't tell. You feel very secluded and peaceful.

Cozy place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was a small but very comfy cabin that we spent three nights in. We liked it because it gave us the space and freedom of a cabin but was also near Gatlinburg and not way out in the mountains. Having the stove, fridge, etc. was really nice. We took our little dog with us, and she liked it too! There was plenty of room nearby for her to go to the bathroom. The hot tub on the porch and whirlpool in the living room are nice touches.

We spent 2 nights in this wonderful little getaway. A studio cabin, everything we needed was within arms reach. The gas fireplace added that extra "special" effect to an enchanting room. All furniture was very comfortable, but the bed was extraordinary. We had the best night's sleep in weeks, and we were truly rested when we left Gatlinburg. A deck housed a fantastic hot tub and an outdoor table and chairs. The only downside for us were the stairs leading into the cabin, since we both have knee issues. Even so, we will definitely return to this wonderful spot!
