I almost hesitate to write this review on VRBO--Because I don't want others to discover this treasure (I want it all for myself :))! The pictures definitely don't do Tucked Inn justice!! From the moment you walk in the door, you feel like you are visiting a dear, dear friend's home. There are beautiful quilts draped over the furniture, the kitchen is better stocked than my own (sphere ice molds in the freezer!), the towels were soft and fluffy, chairs are strategically placed for the perfect view (loved morning coffee in the upstairs sunroom), I could go on and on. This cabin is simply immaculate. No corners were cut; no details were spared. You can FEEL the love and care the owners have put into this home. Truly, it is a one-of-a-kind cabin that I doubt I will ever come across again. The porches were to die for---It rained one day, and we sat outside on the covered porch swinging and rocking away with our coffee listening to the storm. It was heavenly. And the grounds---I couldn't believe all that was available for our use: the fire pit, hot tub, grills, "Sunny-Side-Up" cottage house. One evening, we strolled the property with a glass of wine, looked at the beautiful garden, and even found a tree swing to enjoy. It was the perfect weekend getaway, and the proximity to my home is unbeatable. I will definitely be back. Truly, the owners have created an absolute gem.
This is a mountain retreat you don't want to leave..the house is gorgeous..the property is amazing..my family had so much fun!! Between the hiking trails and hot tub and all the amenities..you have all you need for a getaway!! Can't wait to go back!
What a great weekend we just had at Tucked Inn! We wanted a weekend getaway to relax in the woods, and boy, did we pick the right place. The cabin and the grounds were more than we could have expected. The house was so welcoming, and exquisitely decorated. Every room was inviting, and over the course of the weekend, we tools naps in most of them! The wrap-around porch offered so many nooks and crannies for sitting and relaxing, and the swing in the back was the only place I could have my coffee in the morning. Despite the misty weather we had the weekend we were there, we took advantage of the awesome hot tub each night. There was a very inviting fire pit that we hoped to use, but the weather didn't cooperate. Maybe next time… The grounds had beautiful flowers and plants everywhere, and each nook and cranny was inviting. There is a hammock near a sweet little shed that you're welcome to visit, and paths everywhere to try out. Even though the cabin is only 4 or so miles from Monteagle, it seems like you're in your own world. It's so secluded and peaceful. We were able to open all the windows at night and fell asleep listening to the sounds of nature. Everything was well-stocked. The decorating was perfect…there were so many unique items throughout the house that all weekend we kept discovering new ones. Tucked Inn was just what we needed to get away and relax, and it sure did the trick.
Tucked Inn has anything you would want -- hot tub, fire pit, wrap around porch, gas grill, and beautiful landscaping. The kitchen is well-equipped, and there is so much to explore on the property. The porch allows you to watch both sunrise and sunset in a rocker with a ceiling fan whirling above you. I will be back soon, again. Thank you!
The photos on VRBO don't do this cabin justice. The photos are very nice, but the reality is awesome! It's an oasis in a beautiful forest. A cozy retreat with every indoor amenity you could hope for. The outdoor sitting areas are too numerous to count with two areas to fire an outdoor fire. The hot tub is fantastic on cool nights. The kitchen has everything you need to cook big meals and bake. Oh, and the beds are heavenly. I'm going back as soon as I can!
Monteagle is located some 50 minutes from Chattanooga and 1 1/4 hours from Nashville. Enjoy the Cumberland Plateau cool nights and mild winters. Cumberland State Park have numerous hiking trails. Enjoy the Sewanee Campus with vistor friendly activities. Spend a day visting the area parks hiking deep down into the gorge at Stone Door. Plenty of creeks and waterfalls to view. Close to Nickajack and Tims Ford lakes.
