About Lori Gard

We are retired and enjoy this cabin immensely. We would like to share it with you when we are traveling.

Lori Gard purchased this cabin in 1985

Why Lori Gard chose Mount Rainier

We love hiking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. This is truly a four-season getaway. It is spectacular here whether the sun shines or the rain or snow falls.

What makes this cabin unique

Nisqually Chalet is 5 miles from Mt. Rainier - a year-round location and destination dream for world travelers and locals alike. With mountaineering year round; hiking, climbing and backpacking in summer; and showshoeing, cross country skiing and snow camping in winter; Mt. Rainier and the surrounding Ashford area offer a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.

Relaxing and inviting.

As soon as you walk in, you feel instantly at home. The hot tub was amazing and the house clean and well stocked. Loved the wood stove, was nice relaxing and playing the board games provided. Very nice how the hot tub is right outside the bathroom door and it is secluded from view of road. We would definitely stay again.

Great way to start our holiday season!

  • 5 of 5

I was very impressed with this little cabin. It had everything one could need and then some. This was a great weekend for our family to relax and enjoy Mt. Rainier. The hot tub was amazing. I loved the fact that the fire was all ready all we had to do is light it. Great experience! Can't wait to go back.

Lovely Pacific Northwest Getaway Location!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nisqually Chalet. Its proximity to Mt Rainier was fantastic even for our early morning hikes! The home was quiet and had all the amenities that completed our home away from home experience. Lori was wonderful and easy to reach even though we called late with a changes of plans.
