Why Peter Geiger chose Edinburgh

The well-regarded New Town location is close to the shops and restaurants of Broughton Street. The raised Ground Floor contains the principal rooms of the Georgian house under 13 foot ceilings. The past few years have seen a renewed interest in times gone by and I have chosen a 'Downton Abbey' theme to the furnishings and decoration using reclaimed fixtures, antique furniture and period colors.

What makes this apartment unique

The sunny eat-in kitchen, large dining hall, sunny studio bedroom and substantial drawing room with its two vast windows make this flat a very comfortable and versatile home. The kitchen, bath and laundry have all new appliances. Two period marble fireplaces (decorative only, not working), working window shutters and an eclectic collection of objects combine to create a unique feeling of serenity.

A really spacious apartment that is lovely to come home to after exploring Edinburgh.

This apartment in 5 Great King Street is in a brilliant location. A very short walk to great beer & wine shops, organic fruit veg store, pubs and restaurants, hairdressers, gift and flower shops, anything you'd like! Then an easy walk from there to the bus/coach station, the main city & up to Edinburgh castle and surrounds.

I stayed for a week in May and it was lovely; comfortable and quiet, safe and secure.

Enchanting Apartment

We absolutely loved staying in this cozy large apartment. Everything was clean and exactly as described. The bed was very comfortable. The apartment is bigger than what it looks like in the photos. The neighbourhood was very quiet and safe. Close to Princes St. and a short bus ride or taxi to Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Bus is conveniently located right at the end of the street. Large grocery store close by and a smaller one right around the corner. Lots of cafes in the neighbourhood. Joanne was there when we arrived. She was very nice and helpful. We loved our stay and would definately recommend it to anyone.

Lovely flat, well situated, with beautiful antique decor

Rented this flat for 5 days, whilst visiting the Edinburgh area. It was really well situated, with just a 10-15 minute walk away from many popular tourist areas (Scottish gallery, Portrait gallery, Princes Street, Old Town, etc.) and just off the main roads to have some real peace and quiet. There were also a ton of great places to eat within just a few paces from our door!

As for the flat itself, it was very clean and well maintained. The antiques were incredible!

The owner communicated very well and was pleasant to deal with. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Choice

My wife and I stayed the Edinburgh flat for a week in April while we travelled around Scotland. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The 1-bedroom flat was within an easy walk to the Royal Mile, several fine eating establishments and the train station. The neighborhood was off the tourist path and very quiet.

The flat was well appointed with antiques galore and the kitchen had everything you would need to cook a full meal. The bed, along with the linen, was extremely comfortable causing us to sleep like babies.

Peter, the owner, was very helpful during the booking process, answering all our questions promptly. He was an excellent host.

We would highly recommend this flat for any couple wanting a beautiful, quiet and convenient place to stay while enjoying the sites around Edinburgh.

Great King Street is the central avenue of Edinburgh's New Town World Heritage Site, dating from the early part of the 19th Century. The private gardens of Drummond Place lie to the eastern end and those of Royal Circus at the western end. It is particularly well suited for access to all the amenities of the city centre with George Street and Princes Street just 1/4 mile away. Waverley Train Station, with regular train services to London, is less than half a mile and there is good road access westwards towards the bypass, Edinburgh airport and Central Scotland Motorway Network. Shopping is just a short walk away is Broughton Street—with one of the best butchers and one of the best fishmongers in town.
