Beautiful property. Brian was great to work with.

  • 4 of 5

The property and setting were perfect. The home was a lovely place to use as both a base spot between hikes, trips into town or to Mercers :) and as a relaxing socializing and sleeping spot. We didn't do a white water trip this time, but the location would have been perfect. We really enjoyed sitting on the outdoor screened porch during a short, but intense rainstorm. The rain on the metal roof was so relaxing to listen to ..... as long as you didn't want to talk to each other. Our dog loved playing fetch in the creek. Just know that the creek is accessed by using a rope which is conveniently tied to a porch post, not steps. It is not for everyone. The outdoor shower, since it was warm, was a nice place to rinse off after being in the creek or the hot tub. The back deck was also amazing - if only the mosquito's didn't know about it. The only reason I did not give the property 5 stars is that there are a few home repairs that need to be made and the hot tub jets are not working as well as they could (although thanks to Brian, when we called to report the problem, a repairs person came and made improvements to the jet action). We are very aware that it is difficult to keep such things in great running order when it is a rental property. Unfortunately, we ran out of time and never got a chance to enjoy the fire pit or the hammock, but they looked really nice as well. We would definitely stay again.

Great cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin! It was in a great location, just a few minutes drive from Mercier Orchards and Downtown Blue Ridge. We enjoyed the Hot tub, and the creek was at a nice level where we could bask in the sun and wade in the water. Our dog also loved the property. We are a family of 5 (along with the dog) and although we had to use the pull out couch, the cabin wasn't too small for us. There is only one bathroom, though, so it might be a little tight for some families or couples. Otherwise, everything about this cabin was wonderful and we would stay there again should we ever return to Blue Ridge.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. The fact that the backyard and front yard were fenced in was such a blessing. Our dog lazily sniffed around the yard while we relaxed. Would definitely stay here again!
