Place to stay in Annapolis area

  • 5 of 5

This property was the perfect fit for our group. We celebrated our daughter's Sweet 16 at this house with her and 5 of her friends and it exceeded our expectations. The view is breathtaking and the house is spacious and very well equipped. We initially chose this area because the girls and I were attending a concert in Columbia Maryland. It was an easy drive to Columbia and it was like an oasis after a long day at an outdoor concert. Annapolis is minutes away and there are many restaurants in the area. John was very easy to work with and give us great tips about the area. I would highly recommend this property and would stay there again.

Outstanding spot!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay on the Severn River property could not have been better. The home was beautiful, spacious, and equipped for everything we needed. We kayaked, crabbed, swam and had a feast right on the shore. Thank you John for the memorable time in your home.

Breathtaking Waterfront Gem!

  • 5 of 5

Our family could not have been happier in this welcoming home. First off is the breathtaking view. It changes constantly and we didn't want to take our eyes off of it! Upon arrival, the home was immaculate, comfy, and incredibly spacious. Our group of ten (5 adults & 5 children) had every amenity we could wish for. From a well stocked kitchen --including everything you need for an authentic crab feast, -- to fresh towels, books & cozy bed linens....this home has it all! We enjoyed catching Maryland's famous blue crabs, fishing, kayaking, swimming, & local eateries. Downtown Annapolis and Baltimore are just a short drive away. We spent memorable relaxing hours on the cozy porch watching boats pass by, abundant wildlife & spectacular sunrises & sunsets. The owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Having rented dozens of houses on VRBO over the years, this house moves to the top of our "favorites" list!! We miss the view already & can't wait to go back to this restful retreat!

Everything was just wonderful! The house was perfect -- just as advertised.

We will stay here again! Loved being on the water -- beautiful sunsets, sunrises and God blessed us with a double rainbow, horizon to horizon! We enjoyed the kayaks and fishing from the dock. We enjoyed local dining at The Point -- our first experience with eating crabs! This home was a perfect home away from home as we handed off our youngest son to the Naval Academy for Plebe summer. Very blessed! Thank you!

Beautiful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the house for 5 days this summer. It was very roomy and comfortable for all 7 of us. We could all come together in the mornings and evening and still have quiet time at night. The porch facing the bay is quiet and perfect for reflection and morning coffee! The house had everything we needed in the kitchen and games for the kids. The kids also enjoyed Kayaking in the bay. It was a short drive to Annapolis where we enjoyed taking in the local scenery and food!

The perfect graduation house

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our St John's College graduation. The downstairs is open and spacious with a great kitchen and wonderful view to the bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the back porch with the varying views of the water, boats and wildlife.

Approximately 10 minute drive to downtown Annapolis with the U.S. Naval Academy, Maryland state capital, shops, historic homes, tours, fantastic restaurants, historical sites, sailing, and boat rentals. Even a Pirate Ship cruise for the kids in summer/fall!

Sandy Point State Park is definitely worth a visit - less than 10 minutes away. and

Within minutes to other shopping, restaurants, activities (public golf courses, miniature/putt putt golf, golf driving range, executive par 3 course, boating, sailing, fishing trips, etc.)

Approximately an hour drive to either Washington, DC for the Smithsonian (19 museums, 9 research centers, and the National Zoo), theaters including the recently renovated Ford's Theater, restaurants, White House, U.S. Capitol, Georgetown, and more in our nation's capital or a half hour drive to visit Baltimore, MD for the upscale Harborplace and the Gallery with shopping and restaurants, and the National Aquarium for the kids.(

Finally, a visit to Ft. McHenry near Baltimore, Maryland is not to be forgotten. Still, if you long for a more relaxed approach to the area, drive across the Bay Bridge to Kent Island and then on to the Eastern Shore with dozens of small waterfront or resort towns for antiquing, historical sites, shopping (discount outlets), exploring, eating, etc.
