Our cottage is easy to find and backs up to the Dixie National Forest. Freeway entrance and exit is close by for a quick trip to Cedar City for a visit to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Zion, Bryce, Tuacahn, Kolob and many more things to do. Quail Lake is (5) minutes away.
The cottage offers one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen/sitting area. It offers a queen-sized bed, entertainment center with TV, Dish Network, DVD player, WIFI, AC, desk ,two chairs, night stands, lamps, nice size shower, stove top, convection microwave oven, refrigerator, ceiling fan, table and two more chairs. Your home away from home is supplied with linens, bedding, pillows, dish cloths and towels, dish soap, dishes, pans, utensils, and special toiletry items. The area lends itself to lots of peace and tranquility, where you may get visited by our friendly little friends, the peacock, quail, rabbits, squirrels, and wake up to the wonderful sounds of the birds singing. Located just out side the cottage, for your comfort and enjoyment, we have added a swing for two, lawn furniture, table, and a BBQ. There is also a hammock and picnic table under the pine tree. Lots of trees for shade, wonderful views.
We have a small grocery market within a couple minutes away by car. There is one cafe in town that is open (7) days a week.
The cottage sits on our property with our home that sits on an acre and a half. We do have a few homes around us that are quite spread out due to the land surrounding us.
My husband and I met in Glendora, Cailifornia and went to Charter Oak High School. Been married 40 years, have two adult, married daughters and seven grand children. We currently live on the property where the cottage is located, in a home on the acre and a half. We enjoy sight seeing, traveling, fishing, camping, light hiking, live theatre and many wonderful things to do in Beautiful Southern Utah. Most of all, we enjoy being with our family and friends who enrich our lives.
We chose to buy in this area for the peace and tranquility. Love to hear the birds singing, listening to the quail with their little ones following, our friendly visit from the Peacock, watching the deer, the squirrels (not when they are eating our rose bushes), love the sunsets, the trees, views and enjoy being not in the center of town, but close.
What a serene feeling to be able to have such wonderful views from just about every window or angle you are standing in. Nice to be in touch with nature, but still be close enough to all the things you need and want to do. We are surrounded by National Parks and Live Theatre here in St. George or in Cedar City. Zion National Park is just a hop, skip and jump away, Kolob, Bryce or maybe you want to go to the Grand Canyon. Wonderful being in the surroundings of such great beauty.
The cabin is nice and comfortable. From the pictures we expected it to be in a more wild setting but it was very quiet and nature is fabulous out there. Magnificent surrounding. Couldn’t stop taking pictures. Handy location for visiting local state parks, Red Rock Mountain, Dixie National Forest, Cedar Breaks and last but not least: Zion.

If you are looking for a simple setup that almost resembles camping in that it is so very quiet and secluded, with a trail to hike right outside the door, but has the conveniences of modern life, this is a good fit. It is is small, so no more than 2 (one bed) in my opinion. The price was very reasonable for what it is. Its convenient to both St. George and Zion. Very peaceful and relaxing, esp. if the weather is good and you can hang out outside. If you want extremely high end pampering with the best of everything , probably not a fit for you. I'd call this simple and functional. The location is excellent if you want to really get away from things.
We stayed at this property after leaving St. George and wanted a place close to Zion for sightseeing. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded place to relax in peace, this is your place. It's out by itself and doesn't have any resturants or markets nearby, but if you come prepared with food and a book, it's the perfect little hideaway. The view is beautiful and the condo was very clean, and adequately supplied. It is a small cottage w/1 bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen; so I would recommend this property for a single person or for a couple sharing a bed. My husband and I came with our 2 small children, and it was tight. If we had come just the 2 of us, it would've been perfect. The owner's were very accomodating and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay.
Great place to stay for visiting National Parks. Gives you that serene peace without being in a hotel, condo, or town home. If it be Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks Monument, Kolob, Petroglyphs, Dinosaur Tracks, Museums, Lakes, Skiing, Live Theatre or just simply relaxing.

A small deposit is required to hold the cottage. The balance is due two weeks before arrival.
We lowered the price per night to cover a small $25 cleaning fee. Most all our guests leave the cottage quite clean. This is why the cleaning fee is kept low. It is important to us to be considerate to all our guests.
