About the property

Baring, Washington

River access is across the street from this property! Ask Evolve for details!

This adorable 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin has everything you could want at your fingertips, from the beach beckoning right across the street to a luxurious hot tub for a long soak to the wind whispering through the pines all around you. With plenty of room for four people to enjoy this carefree getaway, you'll have an unforgettable escape to Puget Sound.

From the moment you step in the front door, you'll know you've found the perfect home away from home. Warm pine floors and ceilings, cedar siding, and the Norweigan-style wood stove give you that perfect cozy cabin feel, while the plush furniture beckons you to kick off your shoes and curl up with a cup of hot chocolate. You'll love looking out of your window to take in the river just across the road, the mountains in the distance, and the old-growth maples, cedars, and hemlocks all around you. The sense of going "back to nature" is palpable in this cabin, which we've lovingly named 'Light in the Woods'.

The kitchen is compact but beautifully appointed with everything you need to whip up amazing meals, and a little breakfast bar so your whole group can gather around to keep the chefs company - and maybe sneak a taste of the sauce simmering on the stove! Enjoy your meals at the pretty dining table indoors or bring them out to the porch for a little al fresco dining. A propane barbecue might even tempt you to do a little grilling while your party piles on the comfortable couch on the covered porch.

That covered porch lets you enjoy the beauties of nature and the cozy hot tub whether it's rain or shine during your vacation, and we suspect you'll spend a great deal of your time on one of the many outdoor spaces. There's an uncovered porch with comfortable deck chairs, as well as a fantastic fire pit surrounded by seating - a great place to while away an evening toasting marshmallows and telling stories. Finally, there's a small picnic table with a shade umbrella for an easy lunch out in the beautiful woods.

Ready to tuck into bed? Retire to the master bedroom, which features a full-sized bed, a private en suite bathroom and private access to that covered patio and hot tub! The second bedroom is just as cozy, with a queen sized bed and lots of storage space. You can even add an extra sleeping space if necessary - a portion of the main living space can be partitioned off with a fold-out wall, and 2 twin beds can neatly fit into that semi-private room. It's a great option if you're bringing kids!

You'll be close to all the wonders of nature, with river access across the street and the beach just 1000 ft west of the property. Venture a little further afield to Mt. Baring, Lake Serene, or Dorothy Lake - all just 10-15 minutes away - or take in some skiing and professional mountain biking at Stevens Pass, 22 miles away. Make a day trip to Leavenworth which is less than an hour away. It's likely you won't be able to do everything in one trip - which is just fine, since you'll want to come back to the Light in the Woods cabin for another magical getaway.

Perfect for 4

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful and cozy cabin located across the Skykomish River, it had everything we needed. 2 couples fit here great. Lovely wood stove and wood enough for our 2 night stay. The only problem was after we filled the hot tub up again it took FOREVER to heat back up. Finally warmed up the next day on checkout. We crossed the "empty lot" tentatively due to the "NO TRESPASSING" signs posted. Wallace falls is a short 15 mixture drive and a full day event. Hot tub was great for soaking the bones. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to stay again.

Cozy Weekend Getaway

  • 4 of 5

I planned a quick ski weekend getaway with friends and this was a great location, only 30 minutes from Stevens Pass. The jacuzzi was perfect to come home to after hitting the slopes. We lost power for a few hours on Superbowl Sunday, but the owners were quick to get us status updates and suggest local bars where we could watch the game. Luckily the power and wifi came back on early in the first half and we were able to reconnect. We'd stay here again!

Cozy and delightful cabin escape

  • 5 of 5

Great, comfortable cabin. We had a wonderful time staying here and skiing at Stevens Pass. When the power went out on Friday night (there was heavy snow), the property manager responded quickly and confirmed when it was expected to turn back on. The fireplace kept us warm and there were plenty of flashlights / candles for us.

Will be back there again. and again.

  • 5 of 5

This is the best place for small group of 4 or 5 for ski and chill.

Kitchen has literally everything you need from grilling steak to baking cake.

You will find love and care for even very small things throughout the cabin.

I was hoping out door tub to be little bit bigger, and it fits 2 people perfectly, and 3 people if they are not fat like me,

Cozy, Peaceful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed here for our annual girls trip and our stay was wonderful. The cabin is super cozy and well laid out. Really easy to find too! We enjoyed our short walk to the river and around the neighborhood. The hot tub was a nice bonus too! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for meals and drinks. I will definitely return for another visit!
