About Brett and Ginger Angell
Thank you for considering our cabin. We live in Highlands Ranch, about 90 minutes from the cabin. We have 2 daughters. We are originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but are glad we made the move to The Rockies. We enjoy skiing which is why we purchased the cabin. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does. As well note, we are highly allergic to animals and our property is pet-free.
Brett and Ginger Angell purchased this Cabin in 2016
Why Brett and Ginger Angell chose Fairplay
When we first saw this cabin, we fell in love and knew we just had to have it! It is truly a Log Cabin. The logs are raw and not milled so you really get to experience the character of wood. We love that it is spacious and has provides a place for the kids to escape downstairs and the adults to hang out upstairs. The wrap around deck provides great views down to the valley. We have had moose in our drive way and plenty of wildlife are roaming around. Another selling point for us was the 6 acres of seclusion! One neighbor is visible through the trees but there are no neighbors on the other 3 sides. It is great to get away.

Great cabin in the mountains!
My family and I enjoyed our time at the spacious and secluded cabin. Had our daily sighting of a few moose in the area. Only a quick drive away from Breckenridge and Frisco. Purpose of our trip was mountain hiking, so cabin was the perfect place and area to unwind after a rigorous and exhilarating hike! No problem with access and no issues with the cabin during our stay.....very comfortable place with great views of the outdoors.
It became “Our Log Cabin”
18 days of great family time at The Log Cabin. Loved the isolation yet close enough to Breckenridge to enjoy dinner, gondola activities, cycling, rafting and golf. Also loved the small town atmosphere of Fairplay where we danced in the street with the locals on July 4th. South Park museum is a must. our 2 and 3 year old grandsons loved climbing all over the steam engine. The cabin had everything we needed. Great bed in the master bedroom. Plenty of balcony seating to watch the birds and just relax. Bit of a bumpy drive but our 3 cars managed no problem. Loved it all
Great place to stay! Lots of room. This was base camp for 6 flatlander guys on a mountain climbing adventure. Worked great. Everything as described.
Great cabin with few neighbors!
We were looking for something “off the grid” and this was perfect. We were there in June which was a nice time to go. We got to experience all 4 seasons. It snowed our last day there.
The cabin was just as described. Lots of space and beds for everyone. We had one minor problem but the owners were on top of it and it was resolved immediately. They were great with communication.
We also had our 2 year old with us. We took some toys but there were some great wooden blocks to play with. She also had fun walking down the driveway and playing in the water and snow that was still there. This is a great place for families. Thanks for having us.
Great family vacation
We loved the cabin. It was beautiful and fully stocked!!
Great cabin. Tucked away and secluded. Our family had a great time. We loved the snow shoes and explored the 6 acres.
Property is on 6 acres of a pine tree forest. Only three miles to downtown Fairplay, where you'll enjoy the local bars, restaurants and charming historical old town Fairplay. Come to this property for a relaxing mountain experience. Sit by the wood burning fireplace, play board games and puzzles while sipping hot chocolate or specialty coffees. Our true log cabin is the perfect mountain getaway for you and your family.
